Woohoo! Slimpossibles won the "percentage in the green" category! Hurray!

@trooworld @askewcr - Thanks for leading the way!

I was surprised but happy to see my name on the list. Mostly, as always, it feels day-to-day like not much is changing. I was thinking last week about when I might, if I work hard, hit my goal weight — May or June? That's going to take being very focused this fall and winter. It will be worth it, though, to have functionally younger body that can do more.

Oh, and I did have an NSV related to clothes. I can wear my old Scout pants from 2016. That's progress. And I tried on a large t-shirt and could wear it. It's not loose enough that I'd want to wear it in public, but it was only slightly tight. Onwards!

    Hi 👋

I got some dead heading done yesterday before it got to hot to be outside, and that's about all I really did. It was a super lazy day.

My daughter is in surgery today having 2 hernias removed and my heart is with her.

I need to clean the garden window again, and I would like to do a very easy workout.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

@trooworld Just read the challenge I’ll get going tonight on it! I went to Costco earlier and made myself get all the packaging out of the house and into the cans, ridiculous how much comes with stuff there. Just a tip from being nosy and reading your response to @AustinRuadhain , the plain mushroom coffee is edible (drinkable) if you really want the benefits of mushrooms but to me the mushroom coffee that’s mixed with coffee is the best it’s just slightly weird-tasting that way. You could always try straight mushrooms then add coffee if you didn’t like it as well which is what I should do with all my mushroom coffee. Happy ANniverary! Great decluttering! Hahaha I have trouble in the book category too but I have a crazy amount of books so need to get better. I want to go to CuppaPug with you it looks amazing! Woohoo for getting up off the floor you’re doing so well. Yum the farro salad sounds delicious. I’m sorry to hear about the drawers not working out, can you use them for anything else? Oh Micaroo4 and I made a deal where I’ll take over for her the two times in the next couple months she’ll be gone if she became captain. If you’d like the instructions just in case I can see if the email saved a draft for you.

@TeresaW2024 The kittens are getting neutered next Thursday so the boys will probably be ready to go to Petco that Saturday. Two are in the 4lb range so the sooner the better, I’m bummed they couldn’t get in this week as they’re losing the young cute look. That’s so sad about Joe trying to figure out how to get home with his mom, hugs and prayers. Wonderful job decluttering! I honestly like sleeping alone too, I was surprised when my ex-boyfriend lived here I made him sleep in the other room as he snores real loud and I honestly prefer it unless maybe I had a king-size bed. If I don’t sleep my pain is unbearable so I’d rather just be alone (aside of my cats). What was interesting is SO MANY couples sleep in different rooms but don’t say anything unless someone else starts the conversation. I hope your meeting goes well and you’re able to attend the whole thing. Is the volume issue all better?

@AustinRuadhain Thank you! As far as the kitten with CH it’s just slightly so it won’t be where the environment needs to be rearranged it just makes him cuter that he tips over sometimes. Great job getting rid of so much stuff! Congratulations for being under 205, woot woot! Great job staying on track with protein that’s a tough one with not eating meat. Posts disappearing are the worst! That’s some serious decluttering! I have a box of books in the garage I’m planning to take for the library sales but should get more than that together. Congratulations on fitting into your old scout pants!

@DrewsAnna I still have tapes so no judgement on CDs (though you’re probably judging ME on having tapes!). Ugh I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s arm that sounds like an awful time at Urgent care but good thing you two went. Great job tracking! Prayers your daughter’s surgery goes well and she’s feeling better fast.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Don’t worry I drink A LOT of water! Great idea on the TVP to add to the chili, hope it works out well. OMG WTH with the returning cycle that’s horrible! I’m so sorry that’s a long time to not have it you got by the 1 year mark too. That DOES make sense for your weight not being down much I’m sure in a few days you’ll have a great weigh in. Curious to hear what you think of the protein.

    @gemwolf110 Great exercise!

@micaroo4 Nope you understand how to do it! I didn’t realize you’d ask me questions in the thread that’s why I gave you my phone # because I can’t get on here a lot right now so going forward please text me any questions that need fast answers. Thank you for the great advice about leaving clean up time! You’re doing everything right on the spreadsheet by the way, one small reminder you missed which you had no way to know as I didn’t think of it until I saw Tuesday reminders is FushiaKat likes her Tuesday reminder, her name is under yours in the maintainers category on the page after if you scroll down to the next page of the spreadsheet. I’d asked you both when I became captain if you’d like reminders and you said no and she said yes so I’d had a sticky by my computer for awhile to remember.

@alimalli86 I’ll go report in the captain’s thread about your two weeks away thank you!

@baodell17724 I’m so sorry to hear about your work buddy passing away. I’m so glad you didn’t binge though I hope you’re feeling better soon. Great job not gaining on vacation! High five you’re doing great!

@Veta2018 Yum your breakfasts are making me hungry!

@littlebabekitty On the Finch app we should do a root veggie challenge together, I’d listened to some documentary that said how important it is to have some each day for the gut microbiome but tend to forget on a daily basis to do it.

@TexasCritter69 Hahaha on stuff in the kitchen bringing you joy I DO like produce but half the pantry would be gone! Congratulations on being able to fit in the smaller clothes your hard work is paying off!

@laurelfit57 Yay so happy to see you back !

GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES IN 3rd PLACE! Great job leading the pack @trooworld @askewcr @AustinRuadhain !

Had a lot to catch up on here! I'm finally starting to get caught up at home. Kittens are doing well, they aren't able to get in for neuters/spaying for almost two weeks and two are in the 4 pound category so I'm disappointed about that. They're all getting so big. Still sneezing and a little diarhhea here and there but they were vaxxed and dewormed Friday (I seriously had blood, poop, and medication all over my tee shirt by the time we were done) and are getting back to normal now. I got my fall seed order and tomorrow I'll be getting a bunch of compost so once the heat wave calms down I'll be able to get things going for fall. Been making lots of pesto, tomato sauce, and coming up with recipes for stuff in my garden it's been a great garden year. Have a great Tuesday! I'm going to declutter a bit after watering.

    Congratulations to @trooworld , @askewcr , and @AustinRuadhain - Great job on making 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, on the leader board.

@AustinRuadhain - Thank you for the encouragement. I didn't know that song. I looked it up. Good song. It got me moving...lol.

@DrewsAnna - I still have my cd collection. My son said if I ever decide to get rid of them, he wants them.

@Katmary71 - I enjoy coming up with recipes for stuff in my garden too. I have so many zucchini. I've made breads, zucchini spaghetti, zucchini boats, fried zucchini. I've made pesto and sauces too. What fall seeds are you ordering?

My stepson's wedding is this weekend. So, today, I went to the mall and bought a new dress and shoes. Then I spent a few hours playing with my grandson. He's so smart and absorbent. He knows some sign language.(please, eat, more, thank you) I really enjoy being a grandma. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for my yearly checkup. Nothing special, just can't get my regular refills without seeing her.

What’s one mindset shift that helped you break through a plateau or get unstuck?

Stay the course. It’s not a diet to start and stop. It is your life. Life has productive moments and not so productive moments. Enjoy them both and don’t dwell in the slow time.

@DrewsAnna - Yesterday sounds like it was really rough. Hurray for getting up and taking steps to create a new day for yourself today. Hang in there.

@micaroo4 — Thanks for sharing the letter to yourself!

@19shmoo69 — "Enjoy them both." You are a wise man! I do not always remember to enjoy the process.

As @micaroo4 said: "I keep a food log, so my first move was always to examine my food log and look for potential causes. Eyeballing portions can be an issue, so I'd go back to weighing and measuring my food to make sure my food log is accurate." For me, I would add that sometimes I need to mix up what I am eating — maybe give myself a small treat one day, then go low the next.

@TeresaW2024 — Boom! What a great weigh-in! I wonder if some of the changes like getting the hospital bed are helping decrease your stress. "We spent three hours trying to come up with a mission statement…" Oh. My. I have been in meetings like that. I salute your patience!

@trooworld - What a fun receipe. Thanks for sharing! Your day in the awesome outfirst sounds so great! A big LOL to the dangers of Instagram!

@gemwolf110 — Thanks for the reminder to keep decluttering!

@bobboyardee — Boom! Congrats on all that walking! IKEA is sure a fun place to do that! You just have to power past all the snacks at the end!

@Veta2018 — You sound like such a great grandmother! And new dress and shgoes — what fun! I hope you found something you like!

@Katmary71 — I will try the coffee mushroom mix. Thanks!

QUESTION: What’s one mindset shift that helped you break through a plateau or get unstuck?

I'm not one to throw out old clothes unless they are too worn and frayed. Of course, many I could no longer fit into because of increased weight. I have a section in the back of the closet for them all - pants, shirts, jackets, etc. When I've plateau'd for awhile I will spend a few minutes seeing what clothes I can now fit back into (comfortably, that is)! I find that THAT keeps me inspired to "keep on, keepin' on" !!!😏

@trooworld - Thank you. My grandson is 15 months now. He got his first hair cut yesterday.

What’s one mindset shift that helped you break through a plateau or get unstuck?

Water, water, water. Sometimes I can be fooled to believe that I'm hungry when I'm actually just thirsty. I remind myself that when I don't drink enough water I get dehydrated. When I drink more water, I eat less.

    Hi 👋

I did manage to turn things around yesterday. I did a 30 min Leslie Sansone senior workout. It was easy on my knee and after dinner I walked through the house until I reached my step goal. I also tracked all of my ffood. All in all, it was a good day.

Hubby was in a better mood, so that was nice. He's upset about his arm, but I'm getting the brunt of it. I'll sure be glad when he's feeling better.

I'm hoping to have another day like yesterday.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

@DrewsAnna Great exercise! I hope the music helps your mood, huge hugs. Glad to hear today was better and your hubby is in a better mood. Great job with the Sansone video!

@FushiaKat That’s a great reading streak this year impressive!

@Veta2018 I made a lot of zucchini/squash bread and muffins at first but my weight was going up fast! I was looking for a certain kind of “loose head” cauliflower which is also Asian cauliflower and it was hard to find so I ended up ordering that and some other goodies (pok choy, winged beans, Chinese kale) today. I did a seed order at the start of the month for a Mystery Seed Pak (got 17 for $20) plus some mixed lettuce and mustard seeds. Also have carrots, broccoli, kohlrabi, Brussel Sprouts, peas, cabbage, kale, spinach. My next recipe based on the garden is going to be Balsamic Peach Basil Chicken Salad with Crispy Proscuitto https://www.halfbakedharvest.com/balsamic-peach-basil-chicken-salad-with-crispy-prosciutto/ Probably make it sometime this weekend. Hope your doctor’s appointment goes well!

    @bobboyardee Great steps!

@gemwolf110 Wonderful job with the major decluttering!

@trooworld I do that too with freezing cubes of pesto it’s so handy. Your outfit sounds awesome I love you feeling confident! Ha can’t wait to see your new clock! Love the idea of sending your future self a letter. I hope the doctor’s right and the pain eases p soon.

@TeresaW2024 Huge hug to you I’m sorry to hear how confused Joe is becoming. You’re handling all the changes with incredible grace. Good luck tackling that fridge! I feel for you with those long meetings especially with all of them being together. Hope he’s extra happy with dinner tonight.

WHAT’S ONE MINDSET SHIFT THAT HELPED YOU BREAK THROUGH A PLATEAU OR GET UNSTUCK? Not having to be perfect.

@baodell17724 Great job taking on day 3!

Hi team! Had a good day, did some stuff around the house and spent time with the kittens. I went to the farm to get the seeds for tomorrow and hung out for a bit. Today was the grand opening of a new The Nugget (kinda like Whole Foods) and if you spent $25 you get a free Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar so my neighbor and I went. Tomorrow I’m going to the greenhouse then the volunteer who does it with me wants to treat me to breakfast. Tomorrow night I’m going to a trivia night with neighbors which should be fun. I have a car being sent to my Carmax to drive once it’s here, been having trouble finding cars with good truck space so I’m going to check out one a little older. Have a great Thursday!

@DrewsAnna - You inspired me! I had a few minutes earlier while I was waiting for a Zoom call to start, and I fit in a mile with Leslie Sansone!

@TeresaW2024 — I thought of you, too. My Zoom call was better than yours, as (A) all four of us were dialing in, and (B) were were all motivated to keep things brief. Anyway, I thought of your epic call and of other long calls like that I have had to do, and was suitably grateful!
