    @TeresaW2024 I'm glad the chair alarm is going to work out . Oh gosh, I bet it hurt to get rid of those Vans. I was wondering if Vans makes wide shoes so I could wear them but I bet not. I feel your pain, one of the purses I got rid of was so cute but ridiculous: it was in the shape of a taco! Tell me when I'm going to use it? I never did lol.

    @micaroo4 Good job !

    @DrewsAnna Oh dear , good thing you went!

    @gemwolf110 Good job !

    Hi all. I didn't have any time to do any more decluttering yesterday. We took Violet to the vet and then went to CuppaPug (California)! It's a pug cafe: you reserve an hour to go there and sit and play with about 12 pugs. About halfway through the hour, you can order treats for them and then there is a treat party! We ordered sliced strawberries and "sausages". When I say they DEVOURED them, I mean it! They almost took our fingers off getting the treats lol. It was so much fun and made my heart full. Half of the pugs are owned by the manager and his girlfriend, the other half are fosters that are up for adoption. I had a great NSV at the pug cafe: I was sitting on the floor playing with the pugs and when it was time to go, I had to get up from the floor. I used my arms to pull myself up from behind (like a dip) and I was able to get up! Before starting at the gym, I would definitely not have the strength to do that. :) After the pug cafe, we went for coffee and reading. Came home and I made tortellini soup with Italian sausage and we watched Final Destination: Blood Lines, which was entertaining. I hope to do some decluttering today.

    Tracked yesterday? YES!

    @DrewsAnna Yikes, I’m glad your stubborn husband listened to you and went to Urgent Care for his broken arm! I hope he heals quickly. I hate when there is a funky smell!

    @trooworld Of course, you had a taco purse!! That is fantastic, but not very practical. 😂Ohh my goodness, getting to play with all those pugs must have been so much fun! And what an awesome NSV that you could easily get up off the floor! 👏

    Good morning! I hate to admit it, but I’m beginning to like sleeping alone in my bed. The night before last, I let Maggie sleep with me, but she moves as much as Joe, so she went to her bed last night. 😀Today, I have one of those three-hour Zoom meetings with the church leadership. We will see if I can make the whole thing or if I will have to bail and be on Joe duty. I’m also working on a menu for next week so my sister can run up to Aldi for us. Have a good day!🙂

    Hi 👋

    I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but today is a brand new day.

    Hubby is becoming a little more independent and a little more cranky because he can't stand being down.

    I did manage to track all my food yesterday and that felt really good.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @TeresaW2024 LOL no , it wasn't very practical! But I had plenty of other practical purses lol. Thank you. Sleeping by yourself can make for a restful sleep. The idea of sleeping with dogs is nice but the reality sucks! Ask me how I know lol. I hope the meeting went well.

    @txcritter69 Thank you ! It was fun to play with the pups. Yeah, two dogs are a lot of work. Think hard! LOL That's nice that you went for some drives. Good luck with the decluttering! I can't do the bring you joy thing either, but because I'd keep everything! LOL Congrats on the loss and the great NSV!

    @laurelfit57 I forgot you were out of town . I hope the party went well. I don't blame you for wanting toilets and running water! :)

    Hi all. I didn't get any decluttering done yesterday. The clear acrylic drawers I ordered for my purses didn't work out, they were too small. Also, we had about 8 errands to run! It took most of the day. I did get to the gym in the morning before all the errands. I also took a nap at some point. I made a NY Times recipe for dinner, a farro salad from a restaurant called Charlie Bird's. It was good. I added chicken for protein.

    Tracked yesterday? YES!

    @micaroo4 Hey Mica, I saw in the book club that you will be away sometime this month. Do you need me to do the spreadsheet? If so, can you please send me Kat's instructions and tell me when you need me to do it? Here is my email: christylynrogers @ gmail dot com (no spaces in any of that, just trying to avoid the bots). Thanks.

    AustinRuadhain Checkin

    @micaroo4 - Tagging you in case that makes this easier to find.

    Monday Weigh-In

    SW 265.2
    PW 206.4
    CW 204.4

    I am so excited to weigh in under 205!

    I am extra happy about this morning's number because we went out to eat last night. I managed to get through a trip to Alma's, an Austin Tex-Mex classic place (I got a large salad), and Amy's, our local ice cream shop (I ordered a tiny vegan ice cream and ate just enough for the taste).

    I am doing well at hittting or getting close to my 100g daily protein goal. I need to keep up the focus on that and on gettign in lots of vegetables. I bought more chocolate protein powder yesterday so I am prepared for the week.

    I did a big social check-in post on Saturday, but it disappeared, and I was out of time to redo it. I catch up again this morning. I apologize for being quiet, but I have been thinking of y'all!

    @alimalli86 – Have a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

    @baodell17724 – I’m so sorry about your work buddy.

    @trooworld – Happy (Belated) Anniversary! I love purses, too. I decluttered some a few years ago and only kept my favorites, so I have about 15. The problem is that I’m so emotionally tied to using the one my friend made me with my son’s uniform, that I just can’t bring myself to use any other. Even though he’s out of the Navy now, that was still 9 years of our lives. I’m getting emotional just thinking about it! The pug café looks so fun! Nice job on getting off the floor like that. I thought Final Destination Blood Lines was fun, too. I watched Weapons last night and loved it! They show things from different people's perspective. Reminded me of 11:14. Ever watch that one? I’d love the farro salad recipe, please!

    @TeresaW2024 – So glad the chair alarm arrived so quickly! It’s ok for you to keep the Vans for sentimental reasons. There’s no hard and fast decluttering rule, thankfully 😊

    @DrewsAnna – So glad you convinced him to go to urgent care. Ouch! Hope you find the funky smell and it’s an easy fix.

    @txcritter69 – Nice NSV!!!

    @laurelfit57 – Glad you’re back to civilization! Have a wonderful time with all the family!

    @AustinRuadhain – I ordered the Garden of Life vanilla powder. Fingers crossed!

    Well, I was hoping my haywire scale weigh in last week was a horrible fluke since it needed new batteries…but, alas, no. Only down a small amount, so I guess it was accurate. But I think I know why it’s up. After a YEAR AND A HALF, that awful TOM decided to visit me AGAIN! Like seriously?!?!? How does that even happen? I’m so freaking MAD about it!

    UGH! Gonna keep on keeping on with the old WW points. Hoping I see a better loss after this week. Picking up the Garden of Life vanilla protein powder I ordered from Walmart after work today. Fingers crossed that the added protein helps keep me satiated!

    Happy Monday, everyone! Get that water down the hatch!

    2025 is MY year!

    Woohoo! Slimpossibles won the "percentage in the green" category! Hurray!

    @trooworld @askewcr - Thanks for leading the way!

    I was surprised but happy to see my name on the list. Mostly, as always, it feels day-to-day like not much is changing. I was thinking last week about when I might, if I work hard, hit my goal weight — May or June? That's going to take being very focused this fall and winter. It will be worth it, though, to have functionally younger body that can do more.

    Oh, and I did have an NSV related to clothes. I can wear my old Scout pants from 2016. That's progress. And I tried on a large t-shirt and could wear it. It's not loose enough that I'd want to wear it in public, but it was only slightly tight. Onwards!

    Hi 👋

    I got some dead heading done yesterday before it got to hot to be outside, and that's about all I really did. It was a super lazy day.

    My daughter is in surgery today having 2 hernias removed and my heart is with her.

    I need to clean the garden window again, and I would like to do a very easy workout.

    Y'all have a great day 😀

    @trooworld Just read the challenge I’ll get going tonight on it! I went to Costco earlier and made myself get all the packaging out of the house and into the cans, ridiculous how much comes with stuff there. Just a tip from being nosy and reading your response to @AustinRuadhain , the plain mushroom coffee is edible (drinkable) if you really want the benefits of mushrooms but to me the mushroom coffee that’s mixed with coffee is the best it’s just slightly weird-tasting that way. You could always try straight mushrooms then add coffee if you didn’t like it as well which is what I should do with all my mushroom coffee. Happy ANniverary! Great decluttering! Hahaha I have trouble in the book category too but I have a crazy amount of books so need to get better. I want to go to CuppaPug with you it looks amazing! Woohoo for getting up off the floor you’re doing so well. Yum the farro salad sounds delicious. I’m sorry to hear about the drawers not working out, can you use them for anything else? Oh Micaroo4 and I made a deal where I’ll take over for her the two times in the next couple months she’ll be gone if she became captain. If you’d like the instructions just in case I can see if the email saved a draft for you.

    @TeresaW2024 The kittens are getting neutered next Thursday so the boys will probably be ready to go to Petco that Saturday. Two are in the 4lb range so the sooner the better, I’m bummed they couldn’t get in this week as they’re losing the young cute look. That’s so sad about Joe trying to figure out how to get home with his mom, hugs and prayers. Wonderful job decluttering! I honestly like sleeping alone too, I was surprised when my ex-boyfriend lived here I made him sleep in the other room as he snores real loud and I honestly prefer it unless maybe I had a king-size bed. If I don’t sleep my pain is unbearable so I’d rather just be alone (aside of my cats). What was interesting is SO MANY couples sleep in different rooms but don’t say anything unless someone else starts the conversation. I hope your meeting goes well and you’re able to attend the whole thing. Is the volume issue all better?

    @AustinRuadhain Thank you! As far as the kitten with CH it’s just slightly so it won’t be where the environment needs to be rearranged it just makes him cuter that he tips over sometimes. Great job getting rid of so much stuff! Congratulations for being under 205, woot woot! Great job staying on track with protein that’s a tough one with not eating meat. Posts disappearing are the worst! That’s some serious decluttering! I have a box of books in the garage I’m planning to take for the library sales but should get more than that together. Congratulations on fitting into your old scout pants!

    @DrewsAnna I still have tapes so no judgement on CDs (though you’re probably judging ME on having tapes!). Ugh I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s arm that sounds like an awful time at Urgent care but good thing you two went. Great job tracking! Prayers your daughter’s surgery goes well and she’s feeling better fast.

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Don’t worry I drink A LOT of water! Great idea on the TVP to add to the chili, hope it works out well. OMG WTH with the returning cycle that’s horrible! I’m so sorry that’s a long time to not have it you got by the 1 year mark too. That DOES make sense for your weight not being down much I’m sure in a few days you’ll have a great weigh in. Curious to hear what you think of the protein.

    @gemwolf110 Great exercise!

    @micaroo4 Nope you understand how to do it! I didn’t realize you’d ask me questions in the thread that’s why I gave you my phone # because I can’t get on here a lot right now so going forward please text me any questions that need fast answers. Thank you for the great advice about leaving clean up time! You’re doing everything right on the spreadsheet by the way, one small reminder you missed which you had no way to know as I didn’t think of it until I saw Tuesday reminders is FushiaKat likes her Tuesday reminder, her name is under yours in the maintainers category on the page after if you scroll down to the next page of the spreadsheet. I’d asked you both when I became captain if you’d like reminders and you said no and she said yes so I’d had a sticky by my computer for awhile to remember.

    @alimalli86 I’ll go report in the captain’s thread about your two weeks away thank you!

    @baodell17724 I’m so sorry to hear about your work buddy passing away. I’m so glad you didn’t binge though I hope you’re feeling better soon. Great job not gaining on vacation! High five you’re doing great!

    @Veta2018 Yum your breakfasts are making me hungry!

    @littlebabekitty On the Finch app we should do a root veggie challenge together, I’d listened to some documentary that said how important it is to have some each day for the gut microbiome but tend to forget on a daily basis to do it.

    @TexasCritter69 Hahaha on stuff in the kitchen bringing you joy I DO like produce but half the pantry would be gone! Congratulations on being able to fit in the smaller clothes your hard work is paying off!

    @laurelfit57 Yay so happy to see you back !

    GO MISSION SLIMPOSSIBLES IN 3rd PLACE! Great job leading the pack @trooworld @askewcr @AustinRuadhain !

    Had a lot to catch up on here! I'm finally starting to get caught up at home. Kittens are doing well, they aren't able to get in for neuters/spaying for almost two weeks and two are in the 4 pound category so I'm disappointed about that. They're all getting so big. Still sneezing and a little diarhhea here and there but they were vaxxed and dewormed Friday (I seriously had blood, poop, and medication all over my tee shirt by the time we were done) and are getting back to normal now. I got my fall seed order and tomorrow I'll be getting a bunch of compost so once the heat wave calms down I'll be able to get things going for fall. Been making lots of pesto, tomato sauce, and coming up with recipes for stuff in my garden it's been a great garden year. Have a great Tuesday! I'm going to declutter a bit after watering.

    Congratulations to @trooworld , @askewcr , and @AustinRuadhain - Great job on making 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, on the leader board.

    @AustinRuadhain - Thank you for the encouragement. I didn't know that song. I looked it up. Good song. It got me moving...lol.

    @DrewsAnna - I still have my cd collection. My son said if I ever decide to get rid of them, he wants them.

    @Katmary71 - I enjoy coming up with recipes for stuff in my garden too. I have so many zucchini. I've made breads, zucchini spaghetti, zucchini boats, fried zucchini. I've made pesto and sauces too. What fall seeds are you ordering?

    My stepson's wedding is this weekend. So, today, I went to the mall and bought a new dress and shoes. Then I spent a few hours playing with my grandson. He's so smart and absorbent. He knows some sign language.(please, eat, more, thank you) I really enjoy being a grandma. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for my yearly checkup. Nothing special, just can't get my regular refills without seeing her.

    💪Mission Slimpossible Strong!💪

    Congrats to the whole team for achieving 3rd place! A special shout-out goes to @askewcr and @AustinRuadhain for leading the way !

    @vegan4lyfe2012 Well done ! Thank you! It's hard when friends give you things, it is hard not to use them! That sounds like a very special purse. The pug cafe was awesome! Thank you! I haven't watched Weapons or 11:14 but I'll look for both. Recipe is below! I knew it would be right up your alley! :) Oh no, TOM! I am so glad to be done with that business lol. I hope the added protein helps. Working on water, thanks for the reminder!

    @AustinRuadhain Woo hoo for being under 205 ! And great job at the restaurant and ice cream place. That takes determination! You are doing really well with the decluttering challenge, wow! Yes, 8 errands it sucked! LOL Thank you! The salad recipe is below. It was delicious! Thank you! Keeping the eye on the prize is a very good idea. Those are great NSVs, congrats!

    @bobboyardee That's great you didn't gain any weight on vacation . Sorry about the post-vaca gain. You will get it off though! I'm glad to hear you aren't beating yourself up. You got this! I can't wait for your introduction!!! Great job at IKEA! Don't forget to introduce your dog when you introduce yourself, pictures of at least your dog, please!!!

    @Katmary71 Yes , I know what you mean about when you get stuff from the store, all the packaging. I hate the build-up of Amazon boxes, myself. Interesting about the mushroom coffee. It doesn't appeal to me, but if I ever get curious, I'll try the one with coffee in it! Thank you! CuppaPug was amazing, you would love it! I could use the drawers elsewhere but I decided I wanted the money back and I ordered others to replace them. Good to know, Mica already sent me the instructions but thanks. I'm glad you are getting caught up and that the kittens are doing well. Great that you are using the stuff from your garden. I put homemade pesto in ice cube trays and froze it for when I just need a bit of pesto, it worked out well!

    @Veta2018 I hope the wedding goes well . Fun to spend time with the grandson. How old is he? I hope the check-up goes well today.

    @gemwolf110 Woo hoo ! Great job decluttering.

    Hi all. You know when you have one of those days that you wear an outfit that you just know looks good on you, and you feel confident? I love those days and I had one yesterday! Since losing 75 lbs, I have been wearing my shirts tucked in with a belt. I used to never tuck my shirts in. Yesterday, I had black dress pants, a black boat-necked shirt with 3/4 length sleeves, black and white tennis shoes that looked like Keds or Vans but were actually by Sperry, and chunky silver jewelry. I got compliments, and it made me feel good. I made Air Fryer Greek Chicken for dinner, a Skinnytaste recipe, which was pretty good, although it needed some sort of sauce with it: https://www.skinnytaste.com/air-fryer-greek-chicken/ Today, I have to work. I really need to stay off Instagram: I saw this pug wall clock with a tongue and legs that move back and forth. I told my husband about it and he said I could get it for our anniversary, so I ordered it! LOL

    Tracked yesterday? YES!

    Charlie Bird’s Farro Salad (6 servings)
    1 cup farro
    1 cup apple cider
    2 teaspoons kosher salt more as needed
    2 bay leaves
    8 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    70 grams Parmesan cheese shaved with a vegetable peeler (1/2 cup)
    70 grams chopped pistachio nuts (1/2 cup)
    2 cups arugula leaves
    1 cup parsley or basil leaves, torn
    1 cup mint leaves
    3⁄4 cup halved cherry or grape tomatoes
    1⁄3 cup thinly sliced radish
    other flaky sea salt or Maldon, for finishing

    In a medium saucepan, bring farro, apple cider, salt, bay leaves and 2 cups water to a simmer. Simmer until farro is tender and liquid evaporates, about 30 minutes. If all the liquid evaporates before the farro is done, add a little more water. Let farro cool, then discard bay leaves.

    In a salad bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Add farro, cheese and pistachio nuts and mix well. This salad base will keep for up to 4 hours at room temperature or overnight in the refrigerator (bring to room temperature before serving). Just before serving, fold in arugula, herbs, tomatoes, radish and flaky salt to taste.
