Not sure why I can't post links correctly when on the app. But like I said above, brunswick stew is my favorite!

I've got an early fasting blood work appointment and then will get my workout done.
To answer the soup question, I like hearty stews. I want to try making homemade noodles like my mom used to make.

Count me in for the October step challenge 😁👟

It’s still in the 90’s in South Florida so no hearty soups… yet 😂🤣 Looking forward to hubby’s beef vegetable stew in January. 😎❄️😎❄️

I got my exercise in for the day and enjoyed a half day at work. I'm going to shower here in a minute and then crochet a bit before bed.

@lauren_989 I'm going back to the question about Halloween candy. I live in a town of about 12,000 people. We have a cute village green in the center and the rest of the town is pretty spread out. Everyone goes to the village for Halloween! The homes in the area decorate and some set up activities like haunted houses. The local Girl Scouts collect candy to help those on more fixed incomes who want to participate since the average home gets 1200 to 1500 kids over the night. Several years ago, someone asked if they could "borrow" someone's side door so they could participate. This led the local rec department to start something called "doors on the green." People, groups, and businesses can rent a "door" for $20. The doors are all strung up in two rows across the green. People decorate and sit by their door handing out candy. I've done a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed door for years with a local group. Halloween is my absolute favorite thing about my little town!

Good morning. I got my firming workout done and now I'm cleaning and putting out some Halloween decorations. It's a beautiful fall day here in PA.

@AnnaZimm70 that sounds like a fun place. So nice that they came up with the doors concept so people in the outskirts could also participate.
I worked at a place where the only thing you were allowed to eat at your desk was wrapped candy. After several years of working there, it became a bad habit, where every time I sat at the computer to work, I wanted to eat some candy, even when working from home. So now, I try really hard not to eat candy. I have gotten to a point now where I can work on the computer without candy, and can eat candy without needing to get another piece. But I have to be careful which candies I have in the house.
We don't get a lot of trick or treaters so I don't give out candy here.

@AnnaZimm70 that is awesome! I would love to go see you town!
@ShockinglyFit wow, that must have been a hard habit to break. Mine is similar, eating candy in the car. My parents found it a great way to keep us quiet and not bickering. Anytime I go for a longer drive (more than an hour) I crave candy.

TGIF! I hope I don't get too sick this weekend, but some cold has knocked me down. Woke up with a scratchy throat and runny nose. Taking it easy this evening and will read a bit.
Anyone have fun plans this weekend?

I got caught up looking at recipes and almost forgot to post my numbers for the week!
@lauren_989 i am going to have to make up that Brunswick Stew for my son and I (unfortunately, the ladies here have too many dietary restrictions), it looks delicious. Like most of you, I have a lot of recipes, but soups and stews are my favorite — and finding some that I can put into my Food Log are definitely a plus.
