    No apology necessary, J! I know you're in the midst of big changes right now, new work schedule, focusing on socials, job hunting, Mom & Dad need help a lot, it's all good :).

    I agree, walking at 04:30 does NOT sound good. It's a bummer that you lost your hour long lunch, and go in an hour earlier, too. I'm confident that you'll sort this schedule and make it work for you. You're too determined to let it sort you than the other way around 💜.

    Day 6 of the juice/smoothies week commencing. We can see the end, not sure how many days tho, but maybe a couple. I could count, but I haven't yet :p. We noticed yesterday that we had more smoothies left than expected - we were using smoothies a day, and 5-6 juices. Today is 3 smoothies, so I guess I shouldn't add on beans and an egg, or brown bread :p. (Smoothies are 3-4x the cals of juices).

    Scale ticked down a smidge again today (so weird!). That's pretty interesting, your comments on calorie budgets. SO interesting! The 'simple' math of counting calories really isn't so simple, is it?

    Happy Saturday LOL I thought i hit post on this! YIKES! Not sure what the day will hold, we have to go to friends for dinner tonight. Will be interesting to see how it goes… LOL One of the friends asked everyone- separately- if we could "loan" her $12,000 so she doesn't lose her house at the end of the month. I feel bad for her and her family, but I can't. I think about them daily, and feel really bad, but it seems this isn't her first rodeo (she's lost another house in a different state).

    Thursday is my pre-Friday. LOL I still have to work Friday, but have Saturday and Sunday off! LOL Thank you for the vote of confidence! I'm getting there. At least my day seems to go faster this week. Forward looking Nov 8/9 (Saturday/Sunday) I will have to work but get an extra day off that week and the following week to make up for it. Man I need a new job with a stable schedule!

    Today I woke up with vertigo. I get it every now and again and not sure why. I had forgotten about the Dr telling me to take Dramamine until a co-worker said something. An hour after taking it I was 85% better, did take a second dose, though. It's making me a little sleepy, though. My trainer isn't in until noon today because she is sick too, so that kind of worked out for me. I had to write reviews for 3 people today, so I got that done instead.

    Counting calories is just a construct and highly variable and dependent on food quality. Eat *kitten* foods(highly processed) and you will eat more because they are "starvation" foods and you need more to get the nutrition your body needs (Why are cereals/breads fortified? Because they take all the goodness out of them!). Eat quality foods (Whole) and you will feel more satisfied and longer because your body is getting the vitamins and other building blocks your body needs. That's also why you can eat more whole foods- your body is efficient at extracting the necessary building blocks. :) My biggest struggle when eating clean is ensuring I'm getting enough nutrition for my activity level! :) Exercise blunts my appetite temporarily, and high protein/fat whole food diet keeps me full and focused! :) (I don't think I did a good job of explaining this)

    Anyway I am experimenting today with making butter powder and MAN is it going to take a long time. :) I have a recipe I like, but it calls for butter powder and is very expensive. I see why…. it's not dehydrating at all! LOL

    Hello Saturday! Whoaaa, yikes on your friend! Thank goodness you all spoke, and found out about the separate requests. Very sad about their situation, the family must be wildly stressed.

    You're only off on Sat & Sun? I thought the new schedule was four 10s? Yes, you did explain very well about the foods. Whoaaa, on the occasional vertigo! Is it related to an inner ear infection, or idiopathic?

    Day 8 of the juice/smoothie unplanned week+ :p. I think it'll be over on Monday. It looks like only a day and a half to go. I have my followup endoscopy on Monday. Not until 4p, which is kinda challenging bc of the need to fast for a chunk of hours ahead of time. I'll need to verify the amount of hours, and make sure to eat (or have one of the last smoothies :p) early enough, or I'll be doing an almost 24 hr fast Sunday into Monday :/.

    We switched to 3 smoothies a day 2 days ago, and my losing streak broke. Up 0.3 yesterday, and up 1.1 today (tho still down 0.8 from when I started). Such a weird phenomenon this week's food and weights have been.

    WTG on the juice fast! You amaze me! I don't know if I could do it, but support you fully! I also have Thursdays off, in addition to Saturday and Sunday!

    It's 2 pm, I am trying to decide if I should start my prep for what I'm taking to the dinner, I really can't cook it until 5pm. I am taking chicken tenderloins, wrapping in bacon, sprinkle with seasoning and bake basting with sugar free bbq sauce. I also got veggies to make a platter, dip already made, I just need to cut celery, cucumbers and broccoli, the rest will go on the platter already prepped. I think I'm going to cube some cheese to go on it too. I am trying to decide if I will make some chocolate mousse too. They will have lots of garbage food and I have been a trash can all week (up5 pounds), so I'm trying to bring stuff I know I can have and I know they enjoyed the mousse the last time I brought it.

    I wish I could be a hermit! LOL I'm sure it's good for me to socialize instead of just be lazy all day.

    Good Sunday morning! Ooooooo, NOT a long weeked each week, split days. That's challenging! Your take-along dinner plans sound lovely! How did it go? :) Yes, it's good to socialize! Xx

    LOL on the smoothie/juice week+, well, it definitely wasn't a planned diet! :p Today is definitely the last day! (It's also day 9.) Yesterday's jump up on the scale mostly evaporated today, down 0.9 of the 1.1 jump up the day before. (I'm still cornfuzzled at the scale response to calorie loading on juice and smoothies :p !) We may have pizza tonight …. (heh)

    Tomorrow is my followup endoscopy. It's at 4p. 8-hr fasting ahead of time. I may have to either eat way earlier than I usually do, or just take an almost 24-hr fasting day. Procedure lasts 90m to 2h, so it would be a dinner time to dinner time fast if I don't get up early enough to take my thyroid meds an hour before eating. :p

    Working on shelves today with Eric. Hope you enjoy your walking today! Xx

    Hello Monday!

    Welp, got a phone call this morning, my upper endoscopy follow-up was cancelled bc insurance denied it :/. They said need at least 8 weeks between endoscopies, not 3 wks as doctor ordered. (Which turned out to be four weeks, bc I was looking for a Monday appt.). I'm not going to pretend to be sad, I wanted to eat. Nine days of juicing, man! Lol

    We watched some fun travel docs and ate leftover pizza. Now Eric is napping. Did I mention it's pouring rain. Perfect day for this :D

    Happy Thursday! LOL Sorry!!! Uneventful week here, not getting much done, the last 2 days at work I got the *kitten* incident because my trainer told me to take it, then my boss told me that all the other managers talk *kitten* about the people that take them! WTH!!! It's a "proactive" incident (sitting on a call waiting for something to happen- hoping it doesn't) that has to be opened every day, so someone has to take it, and it's a "next in line" thing, so….. there's no winning at this place! LOL

    I am off today and want to get the bedroom clean. Scott told to me enjoy my day off, it's not to catch up on stuff around the house, but that's what I enjoy! Making things nice! The only other choice is to go out an do fluff shopping, and that's not on the plate this week! :)

    I think I've finally figured out what I'm going to do with my social media. A 52 week series (with other stuff thrown in) of me taking back my life - health, fitness, weight, mental health - after menopause. Every week I will have goals, film a quick 10-15 seconds of me doing the goals, slap them all together and BOOM! video done! I really like this idea!

    Week 1 :

    1. 2 Darebees on work days, 1-45+ minute walk on not work days (this is a good balance I think)
    2. 2 bottles of water/day - I'm slacking on this again and I can tell I'm dehydrated
    3. Make and FOLLOW a Menu- I will be required to eat at least 1 meal from every planned meal
    4. In bed by 8pm 4 times a week (work days) to improve my sleep score

    I will be able to earn the following rewards according to how well I do:

    1. 100% - Dinner OUT with Scott
    2. 90% - Salt Spa session
    3. 80%- Brow Tint
    4. 75%- Movie night with Scott
    5. Below 75%- good vibes (LOL)

    Plan for today:

    1. Drink coffee
    2. finish making chicken broccoli cheese soup- the chili was super yum, but I have a feeling we are going to need to freeze some! LOL
    3. Laundry- fold/put away and wash
    4. change sheets/put on winter comforter (feather blanket)
    5. Pickup/dust/vacuum bedroom

    Happy Friday! LOL I got NOTHING done on my list yesterday! hahahahah I forgot about my teeth cleaning. Today is the start of a busy weekend, and I'm so ready for it! :) My trainer is off today, and I still don't have the OK to run a call by myself, so I'm just sitting in listening to other calls… so stupid, but hey! They're paying me, I'll just sit there if that's what they want! :)

    Tonight we have an Oak Ridge Boys concert about 2 miles from our house! The Pig Fest (BBQ competition) is tomorrow, so they always do a concert the night before! :) Scott and his friends will be doing the judging tomorrow and I'll just we walking around! It will be sunny tomorrow, but the high is supposed to be 69. It will be around 50 tonight when the concert is done, so will layer up!

    Happy Sunday! Yesterday was so much fun! I ended up getting to help judge for the BBQ competition! There were 4 guys (Scott and the 3 other guys in our friend group) and me. None of the other wives wanted to come. I just don't understand why you would not want to get out into fresh air, walk around and spend time with your husband!!! I dunno, Scott and I pull each other into being more outgoing and finding opportunities to do fun things, and we love spending time with each other too ;) .

    Today's plan:

    1. Clean kitchen
    2. fold all clean clothes/put away
    3. change sheets
    4. Make bulk recipes- Chaffles and carnivore tortillas- and freeze in portion sizes. I've really been wanting these lately, but too lazy to make them. Today is the day I throw a ton in the freezer.
    5. Get some work done in Canva

    I think that's more than enough for today! LOL

    Happy Wednesday. I'm having a week. It will get better, but trying to give myself some grace. I got told yesterday I will probably be perm 10-8, which I think is their way of making us quit. IMO. I'm depressed. Every time I go past my door/window I can see my neighbor's house is up for auction on Saturday. It finally hit me last night that it's like he's died. One day he was there, then he wasn't, hasn't been back, won't be back, called him once, he was not very talkative so I haven't called back. He was like a grandpa to my girls. I've been teary for 2 days. I am going to get a bath tonight.

    Happy Tuesday. This week I'm working 9-7 M, T, W, off Th, Fri, work 6-4 Sat/Sun. I have an pre-screen interview on Wed afternoon. Today I'm trying to get some things done around here.

    Today I have:

    1. un/reload DW and started
    2. took out all my summer clothes and packed them away- some to the closet, some to the cube as cruise clothes :)
    3. Took all my winter clothes out
    4. had 2 cups of coffee, about to start on water with creatine

    What I'd like to accomplish today:

    1. fold clean clothes/put away
    2. do a load of laundry
    3. change the sheets

    Considering my timeline, I think that's the right amount. We have to move some furniture around. We bought some of our neighbor's stuff- and a couple big pieces, so trying to figure out where they need to go, in the mean time they are blocking my freezers! I was trying to eat out of the freezer this week!!! LOL

    Hope everyone is doing well! MK, miss ya chick! Hope you are not having health issues!

    Well, it's now 6pm and what I accomplished:

    1. folded/put away clean clothes
    2. Swapped summer for winter and got 75% of my cruise packing done! :)
    3. 1 darebee that has left me wobbly legged the rest of the afternoon! LOL
    4. a load of lights, which are now in the dryer or hanging up!

    I figured out where all my long pants were (packed away for summer), so I am happy to announce I will have tons of pants to wear for a while! LOL

    1 more hour of work, I think I will get a little creatine in before bed to help with muscle repair/recovery

    MK, Praying for you.

    Today I need to be organized about what I want to accomplish, as I have the whole day off and have to work Saturday-Tuesday.

    1. bake chicken in the oven, remove meat, make chicken broth. Use some raw chicken thighs with it to make it really yummy. I don't like the texture of the meat when it cooks for so long, so that's why the separate process
    2. make chicken soup and chicken wings for dinner
    3. Patty burgers for the freezer
    4. Finish washing big dishes
    5. Move cups off the entrance hall table, declutter bookshelf. Move entrance table to exercise room, move bookshelf to hallway
    6. Move China Hutch to where the bookshelf was
    7. List entrance hall table to sell
    8. Take pictures of dining room table to sell, but don't list yet.
    9. Darks
    10. Fold clean towels and put away
    11. Change sheets
    12. wash blankets

    LOL If I get through all that, I will be VERY happy! :) If I can do more (not much more do to after that), then I will add to my list!
