Hi all I'm worried about feeling faint on the fast days - what are some good slow burn foods to stock up on? Cheers Kerry
So, it's week 1 and we're all determined to do this, but how is everyone getting on? Today is my first fast day and I just couldn't resist and had a bakewell tart for breakfast! Who else finds themselves eating high calorie foods on fast days? I have very little self control when it comes to sugar!!
Check in here each week with an update on how you're doing! Include goal loss, weekly loss and loss since start of the challenge.
So who is working out on this diet? The book suggests that you can workout as much as you like on fast day or non fast days, but I find that if I'm doing a big workout I have to have a good meal before or I feel faint (that's in normal life, not just because of the diet) I'm swimming, doing weights and yoga; hoping to…
I'm feeling very victorious....and I'm giving God ALL the glory and credit. Yesterday, I had "down" day and used it to fast until sundown (from Sundown Friday until Sundown Saturday) and ate a New York style Frank w/bun--about 8:00 that night (even though I didn't have to have it, I wasn't starving or very hungry at…
Anyone got any good recipe ideas? There are some really good ones in the book. My favourite being the low cal pizza. Use a tortilla as the base, add tomato puree, mixed veg (whatever you fancy) and mozzarella.Absolutely delicious, cheap and low calorie :)
So it is midweek and probably not the most sensible time to start a challenge, but they all say tomorrow never comes...no better time like the present! This week's challenge is to name something that you need to work on, just 1 thing, and try your utmost to fix it this week. For me, I know I really need to eat better. So…
So, while I'm getting used to the food side of things, I also need to move more on a daily basis (and not just when I can be bothered to go to the gym) I know some of you are already following the 10,000 steps challenge. Can anyone recommend an app for it? And who wants to do it with me? 10,000 a day and 70,000 a week (so…
I'm so in Love with The Lord....honey, let me tell you: Today is my fasting day and my handsome boyfriend (my hubby of 30+ years) is BBQing and as I type, the family is chowing down on the most fabulous smelling BBQ in the history of BBQ--I won't go into details of exactly what, because I don't want to tempt anyone to…
Well done for everyone who has fasted this week. If you didn't lose weight, don't worry about it. It will gradually come off and I often find it's slow for a week or so and then I see a loss so stick with it :) Next week's challenge is thanks to cindysatx! She has been reading all about the 4 day Win and it sounds perfect…
