I need a new pair of walking shoes. I can tell mine are worn down because my feet are starting to ache when I wear them. That's my signal that it's time for new shoes. How do you know when you need new shoes? How often do you replace them? What type of shoes do you wear?
This is for those of us who would like to post their daily goal and if they were able to meet it. Today my goal is to walk for one hour. Because I have small children and it is so HOT here right now, I can't walk for one straight hour. I'll have to break it up throughout the day, but will be really happy if I can get that…
Right now, mine is just finding the time to walk with two little ones at home all day. But my biggest challenge is night time snacking. I am fine all day but around 8 or 9 pm I just want to eat cookies. Any suggestions for how to stop this?!
Howdy! Can you do 100 miles in one month? How many can you do? I'd like to see us all hit 100 miles by Halloween. :) It's a challenge but I think we all could do it. This challenge is to push us beyond our boundaries and see just how much we can do in a given amount of time. You normally walk 2 miles a day, push to 3. Walk…
Today Amazon has Saucony Guide 7 running shoes for men and women 50% off their regular price. $59.99 regularly $120. I have the Saucony brand and I love them. Christmas is around the corner so good time to stock up while they're on sale.…
Hi everyone, It sounds like a lot of you are using a Fitbit. I don't have one yet but I think I should because they sound pretty helpful. Can you tell me about the model you use and why you like it? Thanks in advance.
I'm just wondering, what are your walking goals? To walk at a certain pace? To walk for a certain length of time? To reach a certain daily step count? My daily goal is to walk for a minimum of 30 minutes, at a brisk pace. I like to challenge myself by using intervals - either a slow jog or walking up hills.
Hello everyone! I am interested in finding a good walking app or pedometer that tracks miles, steps, calories burned, routes taken etc. Currently I am using the mapmywalk app but I am finding that is is not that accurate. It is showing that I walked longer than what I really did and I'm sure showing that I burned more…
Hey everyone, So I just started my walking to fitness 2 weeks ago. So far I walk a average of 2 miles maybe a little more. How hard do you all push yourself ? I know the first week I could barely walk a mile now I am up to two miles ???????? What keeps you going?
Right now I just go by time. It takes 12min to go a circuit around the building on my two 15min breaks, a walk around my neighborhood takes 30-45min depending on if I have a wiggly two year old who stay in his stroller or not. I average over an hour per day. I have tracked a days steps before, at work the max is about 6k…
How often are you able to walk? I try to walk every day. I walk my son to school and back, then walk the dog later in the day. That adds up to about an hour a day, I think. My kids don't love walking nearly as much as I do so I usually have to do a few, short walks with them throughout the day instead of one long walk.
Welcome! Please introduce yourself.
Even though it's not officially fall my workout program is starting their Fall challenge today. So I wanted to know how many steps & miles I did over the summer. June - August. Steps - 1,054,164 & Miles - 425.74. Whoop! Can I beat that for Fall? Stay tuned to find out. :)
