Hi! Is anyone doing the trail run on June 2nd? If yes how r you preparing for it? Thanks
Beautiful day doing a 15K cross country at Irchester country park in the snow today... and my friend took some great pics
I am struggling to lose my last 13LBS and feel like I've entered an almost permenant starvation mode -- yep the time when you stop losing weight and everything you eat doesn't seem to want to come out? I know there's a phenomena known as starvation mode, where when the body doesn't get enough calories, it begins to hold on…
finished my first half marathon in 2hrs 30 mins, did walk a couple of times so I guess took longer than I expected. But feels good to have finally done it. I would like to know from all of you experienced runners here, how to recover after this race? should I be doing another 21 k this weekend? Thanks for all the support.
I am getting into some longer runs where I have lost a half gallon of water weight in sweat. (I think my cold weather running clothes are wicking water out?) This brings me into the thought that I need to begin working on hydrating while I'm running as I go forward with my longer runs. I am considering a camelback system…
I have been running off and on for the past 15 years but since August 1, 2011, I have finally started to make running a priority in my life. Have run 10ks, 5ks and and 8K but have my sights set on a 1/2 marathon in May 2012. I am not fast, but I am consistent. Slowly starting to increase my mileage but also know that…
Hi all I am running my second half-marathon the weekend after next and since I have done all my training right this time I would also like to get the food side right in the week running up to my race. I am not the best cook in the world & I dont eat meat (except fish). I am still running on a calorie deficit of 500 a day…
I have a burning desire to qualify for Boston, but at current pace of 9:11 miles, I'm a full minute and 11 seconds too slow to qualify at #47. I'm curious to know what I can do and how long it will take me to improve my speed to where I can qualify. I need to be able to run the full 26.2 at 8minute miles. Thanks MFP DR!
