how do u recover after a long run?
finished my first half marathon in 2hrs 30 mins, did walk a couple of times so I guess took longer than I expected. But feels good to have finally done it. I would like to know from all of you experienced runners here, how to recover after this race? should I be doing another 21 k this weekend? Thanks for all the support.

I am getting into some longer runs where I have lost a half gallon of water weight in sweat. (I think my cold weather running clothes are wicking water out?) Qualifying for Boston
I have a burning desire to qualify for Boston, but at current pace of 9:11 miles, I'm a full minute and 11 seconds too slow to qualify at #47. I'm curious to know what I can do and how long it will take me to improve my speed to where I can qualify. I need to be able to run the full 26.2 at 8minute miles. Thanks MFP DR!
