10 Principles of Intuitive Eating
10 Principles 1. Reject the Diet Mentality Throw out the diet books and magazine articles that offer you false hope of losing weight quickly, easily, and permanently. Get angry at the lies that have led you to feel as if you were a failure every time a new diet stopped working and you gained back all of the weight. If you…

Do any of us really belong here on MFP?
I just joined the MFP community a few days ago, and it's become increasingly clear that I don't really belong. I don't actually use the MFP app but a competing app that tracks vitamins and minerals. (I won't name it here, because I received a warning for promoting it in a post. I had overlooked the rule against promoting…
Group still active?
I just joined this group but saw it has been a couple of years since it has been active. Is anyone interested in chatting again, or should I go ahead and drop this group (I like keeping my things simplified).
Not much interest in this way of eating I guess!
I was going to cancel my MFP account! I am done dieting and worrying about everything! Dieting has consumed my life! I saw this group but very few members or activity! Hmmm I will give it a week or so!
Eventual Goal: Intuituve Eating
Hi everyone- I know people tend to disappear from this group, since the calorie-tracking nature of MFP is in direct conflict with the principles of intuitive eating, but if anyone wants to keep discussing or friend me, please feel free. I'm drawn to the intuitive eating concept, because choosing how one eats has become so…
Hello 2017 Groupies
I'm reading intuitive eating & so far it's working for me. I'm connecting to my body in a guilt free way. I'd love to interact with others who are working on the same, how to continue applying these things in day to day life. Please post if interested in this too!
Looking for friends with same food philosophy
I am on my 12th day of eating using a non-diet approach. I do log my food but mostly to make sure I am eating enough because I used to skip meals and then eat a lot at once. I am looking for friends who are into getting healthy and strong and not obsessing about weight loss and self shaming.
hi any tips /advice for newbie?
Hi everyone, New here im about to start a new journey of 5.2 diet BUT not counting on the 5 days im so nervous as I have done a mixture of calorie counting and weight watchers for 4 and half years!! Im fed up of it now and want to listen more to my body as I really believe I probably wouldn’t eat half as much if I wasn’t…
IE and Me
I decided to start a personal thread here. If anyone feels like commenting, please feel free. I feel like I'm getting myself back on track again. It makes sense that the more I think about trying to do this 'right' the more difficult it will be - and conversely, the less I think about it and just let it happen, the easier…
Still here
I check in when I get a chance - usually about once a week or so. Anyone else?
New to this group
Hi all. I am trying to get back to how I used to eat. I was very much an intuitive eater, but after some life events, I got away from it. Hoping to get some support and share my journey with others.
