Things we have bought include: Ezekiel bread ($1 a loaf cheaper there than at the other place we shop - this alone covers our membership costs) Eggs Fruit Chicken breasts Finish dishwasher detergent Milk Organic salad greens Kirkland organic…

Are you looking for a kitchen scale or a body weight scale? I have the Ozeri Pro kitchen scale from Amazon and I recommend it.

I track fiber because I am a Type 2 Diabetic. I carb count and I can subtract the fiber from the number of carbs I've eaten, so I am a big fan of fiber.

Another vote here for using a digital scale to weigh everything and I would suggest setting it to grams instead of ounces.

That is such a great tip! I have been logging for 14 months and I had no idea that Walmart.com had all of that nutritional info. I learn such awesome things from these forums.
-
I log everything and I estimate calories and do a "quick add calories" if I eat out somewhere where they don't list that info. I don't see any point in only logging some of my calories. What I don't do is share my diary. If my diary were shared, I would probably feel self conscious about days I have treats. Knowing that…

I started at 283 and it took me about a year to lose 100 pounds. ETA: I usually ate around 1400 calories a day during that time and I am 5'6 1/2".

Once Again is the only brand I have tried that is 100% peanuts. I love it!

I usually eat less during the week so I can have more calories on the weekend, but I went 3,000 calories or more over my weekly goal on my birthday week. I have been at this for 13 months and I figure that one week at maintenance calories won't kill me. Edit- It was over my birthday week, not just over one day.

I have a BalanceFrom from Amazon that is great. It is very accurate and inexpensive.

Mine is tested every 6 months but my blood sugar control is good and I am no longer taking diabetes medication.
-
I change my lancet each time. My testing is sporadic now that my blood sugar control is so good. Some days I don't test and some days I test a few times. It really depends on what I eat.

I should clarify that there are foods that I feel aren't worth the carbs and/or calories, but I haven't sworn them off forever. I don't bring chips in the house but I did eat 2 Doritos chips once in the past year. There are quite a few things that will now be a very rare treat.
-
Exactly.

I don't think there is anything that I used to love that I now find disgusting but I do find some things not really worth the calories. I have been losing weight for 13 months and I hope to reach my goal weight by the end of the year. I might reintroduce some higher calorie foods when I finally get to maintenance.

I would love a feature like that.

I track carbs and fiber. I go way over on carbs but I don't care as long as my net carbs are in line with my goals. I just have to do the math between the carbs and fiber columns.

Mine was 82 this morning.

I agree. Sometimes all you can do is to stick to your plan and wait.

I love almonds as a snack. Delicious and filling.

I have the Ozeri Pro scale and I love it. I got it from Amazon.

There have been a ton of threads on this subject. I have a body scale by BalanceFrom that I got from Amazon and I like it a lot.

I have a BalaceFrom from Amazon that I really like. It weighs within one pound of my doctor's scale.

I can't have temptations in the house at all. I plan one treat a week and it's usually a single serve ice cream. I would love to have oreos but I just don't think I should have them around.

This is the only health and weight related app/site I use.
