I'm in!

I'm in. Starting weight right now is 179, ultimate goal weight is 130. I'm 5'4".

Thanks, everyone. I'm just really afraid of losing my motivation and giving up, because that's what I've done before every other time. I'm afraid of stopping caring. I don't want to give up before I reach my goal, I KNOW I'll regret it. I just tend to quit everything I start in life when it gets too hard. I'm not very good…

Today my motivation is wearing a bikini next summer for the first time since my senior year of high school! (10 years ago).

Ugh, I ate half a pint of coconut ice cream last night. Threw the rest of it out and trying to eat really clean today.

How do I calculate maintenance calories?
-
Yay, thanks for the support! So excited to meet all of you and do this together!

Just wanted to report that the scale finally moved again and I have lost another 1.5lbs since this post! Thank you all for your input :)

Thanks so much @diannethegeek. I appreciate it!

Thank you Clare. I'm just conflicted as to whether or not I should eat back my exercise calories (I use a hrm)
-
I don't know if I'm going to continue to lose so quickly or if that was just a fluke/luck during my first month
-
So if I'm using a Polar HRM for workouts I should not eat back those calories burned?
-
Thanks for the perspective, guys. Appreciate it! I will try to stay patient.

Sorry, I realize it seems like I'm making a problem out of nothing. The reason I asked about eating back exercise calories is I keep hearing conflicting things. An acquaintance of mine says that unless I'm doing extreme training, I should stick to my 1500 calories, and not eating back any exercise calories burned. But mfp…

Question: should I or should I not eat back my exercise calories? Would stopping that help me?
-
@Obnoxa why do you think you got more acne when you started losing weight?
-
The only other thing I can think that had changed is I started Prozac about a month ago. Could that cause acne?
-
@happyfeetrebel1 wait, should I expect my skin to be this bad till I'm done losing weight? I have 50lbs left to go!!!
-
The thing is, I've had PCOS since I was 20 (well that's when I was diagnosed) and this skin flare up has only been in the last few weeks. Before that, it was nowhere near this bad since high school. To lose the 10lbs, I simply started eating about 1500 calories a day, and I just started working out the last few days…

I also would rather lose slower and keep it off long term and feel like I can do it forever rather than quit.
-
1100 calories or less is too little for me. I feel faint with hunger and am more prone to binges. No way could I sustain that. 1500 helped me lose 20lbs last year and I've lost 10lbs in the last month doing it. I also work out, which helps.

Awesome! We can do this together!
-
Will do! I also just recently started working out again after a long hiatus, it's tough. We can do this though!
