Hey Amy!!! You're son sounds like an awesome motivation!!! Hopefully we can encourage each other along the way. It can take a while to get use to MFP, but I have used it since Oct. 2014 and am really happy with it. :)

Totally been where you are. Hang in there! Like everyone else is saying, it can take a while before you actually start seeing the scale start to move. (I think it was 2-4 weeks for me.) Keep going!! It can be really disappointing when we don't see the results that we expect. Please know that you aren't alone. This does…

Thanks for all the support and suggestions! I am starting to feel better, just not 100%. I am also realizing that I am not able to jump in right where I was with my exercise. Slow and steady it is.

I usually do a combination of calesthetics (sp??) and yoga for 20-60 minutes. It depends on how much time I have that day. I usually eat something small before I work out - an apple or granola bar. Afterwards, I'm usually having a bowl of granola with milk or a smoothie of some type. I usually don't eat right after I work…

As far as diet, I would check out the getting started forum. There are tons of threads with helpful info on getting started. The best ones are up at the top; some with step-by-step instructions on how to figure out how many calories a day you need to eat. Exercise you really have to find out what works best for you. If…
