It took about 2 months for my FitBit to figure out my CICO. I've been successfully maintaining for a year eating all of the calories it gives me.

My average weight for the past year has been 126 pounds. Last month I weighed in at 137 during the height of bloat haha. I have a couple squares of Ritter Sport to curb cravings.

5'2", 126 pounds. Doing a slow cut for summer abs @ 1900 calories per day and have been losing 1/2 per week.
-
@GracieSmiles16 I lost the initial 20 pounds by sticking to 1200-1300 calories per day, using the elliptical for 30 minutes 4x per week. After the first 20 I started running and gradually built up to 30 miles per week over the course of 6 months.

SW 181, size US 12 CW 126, size US 4. Sizes are all +/- 1 or 2 since women's sizing suck, not to mention variation between junior/women/different brands.

Hi Peppermint, I can't help much with weight/clothing size relativity since everyone's built different, but I do have a lot of experience with buying clothes from Japan/China/Korea. For reference, I am 5'2", 125 pounds, 37"-26.5"-36". This puts me at a US 4 in most brands. I am a Large in all of the Asian clothes I own.…

I'm a short cardio bunny. 5'2" ~125 pounds run 20 - 30 miles per week. I've been eating all my FitBit calories for a year and have maintained within a +/- 3 pound range. My TDEE averages 2100 per day, 1600 net. 1700 sounds about right for you :) Good luck!
-
My own experience with Charge is that it's fairly accurate. It gives me ~500 calories for an 7 mile run. I've been eating all the FitBit calories and I've been maintaining for a year now.
-
@BecomeBetterThanMyYesterMe In hindsight, I should have taken my time since I was hangry the entire 6 months! I kept my calorie intake strictly between 1200 - 1400 regardless of how much I ran, though I made sure to get at least 60 grams of protein in per day. Guess I was much more active than sedentary, according to…

5'2" 179 to 128 pounds, Aug '14 - Jan '15. 38" to 27" 1200 calories per day, Couch 2 5K for exercise. Currently ~125 pounds, waist fluctuates between 28" and 26". Been maintaining for a year now :)

1. Looking through your diary, I've noticed that you have a lot of repeated entries at "1 cup" or "100 grams". Do you weigh your portions with a food scale? If not, you might be eating more calories than you think. 2. What are your stats? Height, current weight? 3. I only see a couple of days logged. Track more accurately,…

Michigan runner here. I've had my Under Armour fleece-lined leggings and zip-up for two winters now and they've held up pretty well. Warm but breathable and stretchy. Disclaimer: I'm too much of a wimp to run below 32 degrees/ 5+ mph wind, so they probably won't hold up as well then.

God I hate the inconsistency between clothing sizes. I read somewhere that manufacturers cut clothes from a stack of textiles, so the sizes from top to bottom aren't the same. Similar to cutting a stack of paper, sizes aren't going to be uniform even within the same brand. 5'2" 120 - 125ish lbs 37 - 26 - 36 US sizing, my…

Weight is not taboo in most Asian cultures. Commenting on weight gain is on the same level as pointing out a new hair cut. My aunt tells me that I look like I'm eating well every time she sees me. I'm the "fattest" girl in the family at 5'2" and 120 pounds. Am not offended because fat is an adjective, like short or purple.…

Body fat % is key to visible abs. According to BuiltLean, males need to get below 15% for them to appear. http://www.builtlean.com/2012/09/24/body-fat-percentage-men-women/ Are you looking for a recomp?

5'2". 119 on a good day, 127 on a bloaty day. Maintenance is 1900 on rest days, up to 2800 on running days (I run 20 - 30 miles per week). Sedentary job.

Small but sturdy! I totally hear you on the shoe/calf thing. People don't think 8 is big because it's the national average for women's shoe size, but that's for someone who's 5'4" ;) All the boots that fit my calves are way too tall.

Since skinny is higher than fat on the social hierarchy, people assume that it's okay to make fun "up" the social ladder. Your success probably brought out their own insecurities. Congrats on your hard work paying off! I bet you look and feel amazing.

I'm 5'1.5" :) Currently maintaining around 125 @ 22.1% body fat, aiming for 20. I'm a bit jealous of you smaller framed ladies. I have large hands and feet. Feeling like a hobbit during the winter months where I neglect shaving haha.

Holy hell, here I am smug about my 2500 maintenance as a runner. Anyone have any "cleanses" that'll increase my height?
-
According to BuiltLean, abs start peaking out around 14% body fat and are fully visible at 10% (for men), assuming that you have a decent amount of muscle mass and isn't just skinny. Made in the gym, revealed in the kitchen. To answer your question, dehydration is "fast". Not recommended, but fast.

Disclaimer: This was my experience and something I absolutely do not recommend. SW: 181 CW: 125 Age: 24 Gender: F Height: 5'2" I started at 181 pounds. Dropped down to 130 in 24 weeks, so ~2 pounds per week. The weight came off fast in the beginning, but once I went lower than 140 I was netting about 800 calories per day…

Echoing everyone here, body composition effects sizing a lot more than weight. Do you measure yourself to check progress? Tape measures are great sanity checks when vanity sizing and scale are all over the place.
-
What are your stats and selected rate of loss? Age, height, weight, goal, activity level? There's no way to tell exactly how much you're eating without weighing your food. Take your peanut butter sandwiches for example. You estimate them to be ~400, but no one knows how much bread or peanut butter you're using. And peanut…

Got my FitBit when I started maintenance. "Gained" about 5 pounds within the first two weeks of eating the calories it gave me and thought it was way overestimating my burns, but after another two weeks the weight was gone and I realized that it was just water weight from my body getting used to eating at maintenance. Give…

She had a 20" waist on a 5'7" frame. For reference, that's an inch smaller than my head :) Off topic here, but Audrey was an amazing woman both for her talent and her humanitarian work with UNICEF. Bit of a shame that most only know her for her beauty.

Hey, I'm probably going to sound like an infomercial but just wanted to say that C25K is absolutely wonderful! I started about a year ago and have progressed from a completely sedentary lifestyle to running 20-30 miles per week. Good luck!
-
Because I'm shallow and am not a fan of the skinny-fat look. BF% is pretty important to me. Also, I like being able to maintain a size 4 figure on 2500 calories/day.

Engineer here, mind if I squeeze in? Promise that I'm not going to try to sell you MLM crap ;)

Hi, hope you don't mind a shorty chiming in here. Current BMI system might be a bit restrictive for taller people and a bit lenient for shorter people since lean mass don't scale up linearly. Oxford's math department came up with an equation that takes that into account.…
