I had a total thyroidectomy last fall and as soon as my med levels were right I was able to lose weight, I've lost almost 20 pounds since last October. It came down to food, I was tired before so I wanted to eat more for energy which did not work. Blood testing is important, if they decide you do need meds you may need…

Kosher salt for almost everything. Pickling Salt for everything else. I don't use Iodized salt as I occasionally am put on a low iodine diet, I get any trace amounts of iodine I may need from my love of cheese and fish.

It could also be that the prepacked food had more exact calorie counts, and the way you are measuring the more whole foods you are eating now is less accurate.

Frozen mixed veggies and a piece of tilapia!

I have small totes for snacks. Mine in one his in another. Makes grabbing food for meal prep super easy and I get to keep my mini reeses hidden under fruit cups and he knows which stuff to grab at 4am.

I like rolled oats with PB2 and some stevia or jam, super filling and tasty! Also good is a yogurt cup with some granola, or baked egg cups. I normally do about 4 eggs, a splash of water, and 1/4 cup salsa mixed up and poured into a muffin tin. If I'm feeling it a sprinkle of cheese before I bake, these are good cold or…

Oatmeal packs for breakfast. I made Black Beans, Cajun Shrimp, & a Boiled egg for my main meal. I often have toast when I get home from work and snacks are all storebought

Caffeine suppresses appetite a bit, you might have a small increase in food intake to make up for that lost flavor and caffeine

Cold pasta is really good, mostly mac & cheese and spaghetti, egg salad with crackers or celery, or leftover taco stuff on a salad

I'm a meal prepper! I work long shifts and carpool to work so I can't go out for meals and need plenty of food. I typically pack a packaged breakfast, like a burrito, and have cut up veggies, a yogurt, a small treat, and a seltzer in my bag for snacks. This week I have a baked sweet potato with a fig bar, yogurt, and…

Air popped popcorn, fig newtons, a serving of seeds or nuts, a low cal yogurt, or lunchmeat with a cheese stick

I don't log seasonings, or hot sauce. If I eat something Like one pretzel to taste them I don't log it.

Iced coffee with hazelnut cream and protein powder for first breakfast, second breakfast is a crunchy pb and banana jam sandwich. I got up at 3:30 thus the 2 breakfasts.

I will put anything in a low carb tortilla and it a wrap: chicken/egg salad, BBQ pork/chicken, lunchmeat and cheese, chicken and bacon, eggs cheese and salsa, etc...

Cottage cheese is so versatile! I can have with cut up fruit or with hot sauce/salsa. I have it this week with tropical fruit that was canned in fruit juice, I put the juice in my herbal tea as a treat!

I mostly drink my tap water, in my area it tastes good and isn't hard. At work I think the water might be filtered but I'm not sure. If I'm in a place with gross water, IE Florida, I use a water bottle with filter builtin.

For me it's dishes and time, I hate washing dishes. One thing that can be a problem is cooking too much, I have a hard time cooking in small quantities because I come from a family of 7 and now I'm cooking for one.

I don't track normal mustard, buy if its honey mustard I do. I don't always track the raw veggies in my salads, unless they are on the higher calorie side. I'm bad about tracking my iced coffee with milk but I probably should

Breakfast burritos with veggies, potatoes, and tofu? Or just the veggies and potatoes? I also like a fruit, flax/chia, and veggie smoothie.

I eat the same thing for lunch 4 days a week, a pre prepped meal (this week is tacos) with a can of seltzer and a fruit. I either have a breakfast burrito or oatmeal everyday. I find it easy to eat this same thing most days because I don't have time to think about food on work days. On off days I mostly just snack through…

I like wraps a lot, you can find really low carb wraps by the tortillas, I fill them with everything from tacos to salmon and cream cheese. Big restaurant style salads are great, with fruit and cheese and boiled eggs, super filling and customizable.

I make my egg allergic sister homemade protein pancakes, breakfast burritos (beans cheese salsa sausage), and baked oatmeal with almond butter on top

I love tea! I even have a special cup just for tea, with a basket for loose leaf. I have 6 boxes on my desk at work, I like mine with a touch of stevia I find it brings out the flavors in the tea.
