I think we get caught up with the age as the reason. For me, I think the reason I've gained weight is because my lifestyle changed. When I was younger, I was more active daily without thinking about it. Now when I hang out with friends, it's over lunch or dinner maybe with some drinks. When I was 30 or 40, I would have…

If you want a different answer than Theoldguy1 gave you, you're looking for a therapist, not an online group. Your husband may enjoy those items, but he doesn't need them. He can still support you by not keeping them in the house right now. No one is demonizing food. No one said those are bad foods. They are high in…

Figure out your own preferred timing for eating your calories. Time of day doesn't matter in terms of weight loss. If you prefer bigger meals less frequently, do that. If you don't want to eat breakfast, don't. If you save most of your calories for dinner, go for it. If you want to eat every couple hours, do it. I'm not a…

Stop taking the supplements and eat food instead! Mostly supplements are supplements for someone's wallet is my understanding.
-
I got nothing for you, except stop drinking or drink minimally! I can't lose weight when I drink and I gained a lot of my weight with bottles of red wine! Interestingly, I was having a very hard time quitting drinking until I made the solid decision to get back into my summer shorts. That's when I just quit. Okay, it's…

Life expectancy has risen from 50 years ago though.

Are you achieving your health and weight goals by doing this? Then all power to you!

Does your medical doctor see a need for you to include supplements in your diet?

I'm not into having "friends" but I'll read your posts and comment when I think I have something to add! We've got this!

You've got this. Many of us have to start again! Life is a crazy sometimes. As long as we don't give up, it's all good! I don't do "friends" on here, but I will follow posts and comment!

Drink diet soda. It's okay to drink diet soda to support your weight loss goals. For cravings, sometimes a soda and a piece of gum help me if I'm not actually hungry but have the munchies.

Thanks for the idea of the LaCroix in a wine glass.
-
Many of us are jealous of that! I usually lose a little over a pound a week.

what do apple cider vinegar capsules do for weight loss?

Whatever works for you. I would be ready to kill something if I didn't eat all day, but that's me. I do keep the majority of my calories for dinner though. 280 calorie breakfast (usually oatmeal), 300-400 calorie lunch (leftovers, frozen meal, soup, sandwich, salad, whatever), 500 - 600 calorie dinner.
-
I would not see that as necessary or effective. I think being in calorie deficit over the long haul is where success will happen. Doing a crash like this is unneeded unless you're getting a colonoscopy. :-)

I have only abstained for a couple days, but I miss the sleep I'd get. I don't sleep well, but if I drink a few glasses of wine I do.
-
That is extraordinarily unhelpful to OP. Obviously it's important to them.

You do not need to exercise to lose weight. Until things settle down, focus only on your food. Ask for help with the running of your son to and from church school and his other activities. I assume that's not every night. Meal prep on the weekend. If the two-hour commute is expected to be for years, move your residence…

I just stopped drinking. For me, there's no cutting down. It's gotta be all the way. I'm reading a book, The Sober Diaries, and it really resonates for me.

Is there any way to get rid of the News Feed? I'm kind of compulsive, and I hate the list of STUFF. I feel like I need to delete them, but it's far too many. Yes, I'm the person with no un-read email in any of my accounts!
-
I figured something out. Moderation won't work for me. I think, like monitoring calories, it's gotta be a life-long thing. I've been reading The Sober Diaries. Man, if I could write, I feel like those diaries almost could be mine. AF 5 days.

Congrats on sticking with it! Your reward is your accomplishment!

I'm the same. I have gained a bunch back by drinking far too much every day. Right this moment, I would LOVE a glass of wine, but I'm drinking some sparkling soda and hoping the craving will pass soon. Stress is a trigger for me to what to drink. 54, female.

Great idea! I am very goal-oriented also. You'll make it for sure.

Are you exercising and eating those calories back? I'm finding that my Apple watch way over-estimates my calorie burn. When I was in serious lose mode, I ate almost none of my exercise calories. Not that I really exercised; I just walked a bit more. I didn't put those into MFP. I also weigh everything on a scale. You can…

Impressive!

The best parts for when I did it before Covid: they fine you if you don’t show up to class! It didn’t get to the point of boring for me. I like data. Then Covid happened and now my major exercise is my ebike.

Beautiful. Congrats
