In the last week or so, every time I open the app on my iPhone it wants me to “manage cookies”. I have approved cookies many times now, and it still harasses me to do it again. Please make it stop.

I’m baaack!
I had lost 50 lbs 1.5 years ago and felt awesome. Got down to a size 2 jeans (I’m 5’ 2”). Gained back enough to get so my size 8 jeans are very tight. Then I had to go get another swimsuit last weekend. Is there anything worse than swimsuit shopping? Anyway, I’m back at it. I know what to do. I just need to stick with it…

I’m baaaaccccckkkk!
Lost 50+, gained back 25. The year has been stressful, and I drink too much when stressed. I gave up drinking 5 days ago and started logging again too. Going week so far. Lost the first couple water-weight pounds. I know what to do; I just need to not stop doing it again!

If your goal weight was 120 lbs, what would your +/- be?
I'm not trying to be obsessive, but if my goal is 120 lbs, how much latitude do you give yourself? Is 118 lbs at goal? Is 122 lbs at goal? Where would the limits be if this were you? Thanks!

After I IGNORE a person through their profile....
I still see their posts? I want to block them, like on Facebook. Why is there an IGNORE feature if it doesn't work?

The scale won, and I lost!
I challenged the scale to move, and it did. I gained 6 pounds! My BMI is still fine. I'm just shy of 126 lbs this morning at 5' 2.5". I'm going to take these 6 pounds back off though. I liked what 120 felt like in these jeans. I took up drinking again, which leads to very unhealthy food choices for me. The key for me is no…

Stupid question alert!
If I use my exercise bike for 30 minutes in one shot and then another 30 minutes sometime later, are the calorie benefits the same? I get that I won't gain as many endurance benefits, but are there any calorie differences? As I type this, I'm thinking it really is a stupid question, but there you are. Happy Sunday.

I've learned how to do this! ((knock wood))
I've been maintaining just below 120 lbs since end of May-ish. Then about 2 weeks ago I challenged the scale to move up, and with increased consumption of beer and food and less riding my bike, it did! I gained a couple pounds over the 120. My success is I can take it back off! I know what to do. Cut back on alcohol and…

Planks question
I would like to start doing planks. I see people say to do "sets" of them. How many 30-second planks makes one set? How many sets at a time would be optimal? I understand that increasing the hold time of each plank is good. I hate to exercise, but this seems like something I can do to improve core strength. Thanks, Female,…

Playing "chicken" with the scale! Dared it to move, and it did
I entered maintenance mode back in the spring of this year. I have been managing to keep the 53 lbs off, weighing just below 120 lbs. Over the summer with vacations and increased exercise with biking outside and such, I've had times when I've gone nuts with calories and still maintained or even lost more. The last couple…

E-biking Calories: Apple Watch VS Other computers
I have an e-bike, a couple months old. I hit maintenance a few months ago, and I'm finally eating my exercise calories as the app intends. Calories from the same 40 mile bike ride this morning: Apple Watch--based on heart rate and also knows my height and weight and age. 1,269 calories. Strava--based on unknown. It knows…

Game changer! Squeeze bottle
It’s frustrating to put just a smidge of dressing on a sandwich or salad. So I bought food grade, commercial squeeze bottles off Amazon. I put my light ranch in a bottle, and now it’s so easy to put just 0.1 oz of dressing on a wrap. Just enough for flavor, super low calories.

The Withings scale is on sale on Amazon
I love my new Withings scale. Makes my morning just a bit easier. It automatically interfaces through its app to MFP. On sale for $45. Not the exact model I got a couple months ago, but still great reviews.

New Apple Watch user here. Do you trust it?
I made it to my goal weight and need to maintain. So I bought an Apple Watch. I lost 53 lbs without using any of my activity calories. But now I really don't want to lose more. So, do you "eat back" the calories that the Apple Watch gives you? Do you eat half? If you eat half, do you just do that in your head (no automated…

I *lost* nearly 3 lbs on vacation
I predicted that I had gone up by 3 lbs on my way home from an 11 day trip to California. We ate and ate, but we also hiked and walked and walked some more. When I got home, I as down about 2.75 lbs. This is me and my husband in Yosemite. I was 170 lbs last August, and I am now 117 lbs. Edit: I'm 5' 2.5" tall.

Heavy sigh. No huge weight gain!
We went RV camping this weekend in a little town in outstate MN. We went on a brewery tour, and I had 4 or 5 beers (beer tasting plus what we ordered). They were sours and so tasty! We had food truck food at the brewery. Then the next day we ate at a local diner with yummy sandwich and fries. And then another sour beer! We…

Increasing calories is stressful!
I've been eating 1200 calories since August. I made goal a few weeks ago and then dipped below that by a couple pounds. I added just 50 calories. I've been walking a bunch lately and feel hungry. So I increased my calories to 1400. This is nerve racking! I know what to do: stick with 1400 for a week or two and see what…

I’m a dork! Random silliness only MFP peeps understand!
I pre-logged an afternoon snack. 188 calories of popcorn. Later after dinner I felt like a snack, which is unusual. I got 12500 steps in today and decided to indulge in some Reese’s peanut butter minis. They put me over my calorie goal by about 130 calories! Going over calories is very, very rare for me, and it has to be…

Oooops, Famous Dave's Bread Pudding!
So crazy good and a HUGE splurge today! I'm below my goal weight, so it'll be okay.

Why is 73 degrees in my office so COLD?
I love heat. I would much prefer to be hot than cold. I grew up in Nevada and central valley of California (and live in MN now). I'm good with 100 degrees and dry. I hate being cold. Now that I am 123 lbs I am freaking cold all the time! I am in my office, and the thermometer says 73 degrees, and I have a sweatshirt on and…

I reached GOAL!
It took 241 days of tracking and learning to lose 45 lbs. It was thanks to people like you who are reading this. Thank you! I couldn't have done it without this utility and this forum. I am 52 years old, mom of 2 young adults and a wife of a tall, skinny guy. My family genetics suggests an early end to this adventure. My…

I am joining the maintenance crowd for April! I have a question
I want to be able to complete the maintenance accountability post. How do I get my averages as people indicate? I do not have a premium account, so exporting is not an option. How do I get my average weight per week other than manually entering it into a spreadsheet or calculating it in addition to MFP? Thanks!

Just give it another minute!
I've been frustrated, stuck at 128 lbs (down from 170 in August). My ultimate goal weight is 125 lbs. I've made steady progress for the most part, but these last 3 lbs have been a bugger. I've had a few nights out where I couldn't log accurately so there is that, but I didn't go nutty. The scale just kept staying at 128.x…

Gain a pound or 2 and freak out!
I've got my new goal weight. My final goal weight. The last one this time! My kid is home on spring break and my husband had surgery, and it's gone awry! My head is distorted too. I was within 2 lbs of goal. Now I'm 4 lbs from goal this week. I know it's not a big deal. The kid will go back to college on Sunday, and our…

How do antidepressants actually cause weight gain (or loss)?
I don't understand how antidepressants affect weight. I am taking Lexapro again, as of about 6 weeks ago. I don't know that it's affecting my weight yet. I understand it can cause weight gain or loss. I get that it can cause increased appetite for weight gain. I get that it an cause a person to feel better and move more…

I tucked in my t-shirt!
That's it, really. I can tuck in my t-shirt and not feel ridiculous. I haven't done that since I was probably 19. I'm 52 now. SW: 170 lbs. CW: 128.2 lbs.

I think I've settled on 128 lbs.
I am a 52 year old female, 5' 2.5". It's been difficult knowing when to stop losing and maintain. I was 170 lbs at the end of August, and I am 130.8 lbs this morning. Stopping is hard! My doctor said not to go below 22 BMI. 2 more pounds and then stop? I know maintaining will be the hardest part of this, really. Thanks for…
