Disloyalty. I always have her back. If she did not have mine, that would be a deal breaker.

Yes, and they are the same. I can't figure what I changed.

Bernini's Rape of Porsepine -- The whole sculpture is incredible and can be seen at the Boughesi Gallery in Rome (go there at least once in your life). But look at the of the indentions made in her flesh. Looking at it in person, one swears it is fully allive.

408 lbs when I was 44. 190 lbs. at 49.

I have worked outed this morning. I have walked 8,600 steps already. School got out last week (I am a HS librarian, by the way.), and I have some quiet time to work in my library. I am feeling contented this morning.

It is a bit ridiculous that this is such an issue for so many of us. We are adults and should have reasonable impulse control, right? And yet, if that were true, I would never have gained so much weight in the first place. This is one I have been really struggling with lately. I can find ways to exorcise off fairly massive…

High IQ! A great body and a pretty face are nice, but if she ain't smart (and I mean really smart), the other two things are irrelevant.

Unfortunately, I am afraid you are just destined to drip sweat. And it will get smelly after a couple of sweaty rides. However, I would encourage you to make sure you always wear one. At the very least, a bike helmet has save me from a serious head injury, and my daughter suffered a severe concussion while wearing one. I…

I wish this weren't true, but it really, really is an accurate depiction.

My goal is to get in 10,000 non-exercise steps every day. I just want to be moving. Lately, I have been reading while I walk on my work breaks. I want more movement and more reading, so I have combined the two.

I don't know exactly what to say to encourage everyone here, but I am so glad so many of you are making an AF choice. I pray that this choice strengthens you both physically and mentally.

At 200 lbs down, I have found the following surprising: -Maintaining is much harder mentally than loosing. -As someone mentioned before, being cold all the time sucks. -How much I HATE being told I am inspiring or having the talk about "How did you loose all the weight?" Those conversations just make me want to go binge on…

I find myself so hungry if I only eat two slices of pizza. So basically it is no longer in my diet. Just not worth it. Occasionally my family and I go to a small artisanal pizzeria in a near by community, and I just shrink my calorie intact for the early part of the day and just enjoy the pizza with my girls. We do that…

I am with you Gary. I am within a few pounds of my goal weight. I lost over 200 lbs. and gained a significant portion back and have lost most of that. I feel strong and fit (except the recent rotator cuff surgery), but I also share your fear of gaining again. I understand the process; I am nervous nevertheless.

The not feeling like you are going to die after 10 minutes will get better with time. From my experience, the "hating every minute" only gets better by choosing a format that you enjoy. I hate running and want to save my knees. I do not object (in a mental sense) to a stationary bike. So I ride a stationary bike everyday.…

Baklava and a treat from my childhood: creamy peanut butter thoroughly mixed with pancake syrup until it becomes the consistency of a thick caramel. Makes a great sandwich or can be eaten by the spoonful. Actually makes a great topping for ice cream sundaes too. Unfortunately, 2 milligrams of the stuff constitutes an…

No kidding! I love working out mid morning, but I rarely get to. When I have a day off, my mid morning workouts rock.

I know this is crazy talk to most people, but I just have too much going on in the evenings to be consistent. On top of which, I have to be at work at 7:55 a.m, so I work out at 4:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m. depending on my exercise regimen for the day. Just consistently staying in the routine trumps "motivation" for me most…
