  • I don't think your friends are trying to "sabotage" you. They are probably not used to you being this small, or if the weight loss was in a short span of time, are worried that you'd lose too much. I wouldn't completely discount their opinions, as sometimes a fresh perspective is always insightful. Honestly, if you feel…
  • Okay, I'm game for this too! Any motivations is always a 'Win, Win' in my book!! ;) Name: Linh Height: 5'0" Starting Weight (11/30): 132.6 lbs Goal Weight (12/31): 125 lbs 12/8: 12/15: 12/22: 12/29: 12/31: Struggles or successes of the week: Fell off the 30DS during the weekend :s :s and I need to get back on track! :p On…
  • Mostly at the gym during the week so I can hit some light weights afterwards. On the weekend, I like running at the beach or at the park. People watching helps kill time ;)
  • I'm 5' and when I was skinny, my arms were skinny. When I'm fat...they were big but not firm. Right now I'm in the midst of slimming down and toning up...so I don't know what they will look like.
  • I madey goal for Nov -- at the last minute...lol. Still gonna keep my goal the same at 100 miles for Dec due to the holidays and all.
  • I made my goal!! Whoa!! 11/25 - 75 miles total for Nov 11/26 - 6 miles 11/27 - 4 miles 11/28 - rest 11/29 - 11 miles 11/30 - 13.1 miles (prep for HM) Total 109.1 yeah!!!
  • I see a lot of couples that run together. It's very cute and extremely healthy. They even run the local 5K, 10K, and half marathons together.
  • I have to agree with everyone. You need more protein, especially if you want to build and preserve your muscle mass. I'm 5' and I get anywhere from 90 - 120 grams of protein each day. Getting your protein in is a lot easier with protein shakes. I use the Lean protein kind since I don't want to bulk up. In the morning I…
  • I'm barely 5' tall and I consume around 1000-1200 calories a day (it's hard cuz I'm rarely hungry). I run, lift weights and do the JM 30DS. I take my protein shake plus powder vitamins every morning. Sometimes I take another protein shake after a hard workout for recovery (but I make it a smoothie in my blender). I've been…
  • I'm gonna aim for 100 miles again. Didn't make it last month, but I started the challenge late ;)
  • LMFAO!!! This is hilarious! I've had gas too and had to let a few out...when I was doing sit-ups in the sit-up bench. It always embarrassed me because there were 4 other sit-up benches next to me (and constantly used) and a few feet away was the free weights area (where all the hot guys were). Luckily it never…
  • I was up 1 lb.... But I was really good at dinner and I did run the 4 mile Turkey Trot ..... So all in all...a good day. Not too worried about it.
  • ^^ me too! The belly is the last to go!
  • I lost weight first (the first 20 lbs) thru a healthy diet and maintaining a good daily caloric deficit. Then I started cardio (elliptical) and then moved to running. Now I'm running and lifting weights for muscle tone and definition. But still....most of my weight loss came from diet not exercise. But my clothes fit…
  • Pretty much the same....and then hit the gym hard tomorrow
  • Nope. My gym is closed, but I'm running a 4-mile for the Turkey Trot and will likely do a few videos prior to dinner. JM and the 30DS is like my best friend right now, lol!
  • For 26NOV -- it was run 5.245 miles, 30DS, and weight-lifting.....hopefully, all this in prep for Turkey Day...lol!
  • Before I was activated (military ) I have a desk job, so I know the feeling. We have an expresso machine at work...and tell you what...I have waaayyyy too much caffeine in my system. I found that healthy eating and protein shakes work better for my motivation than caffeine. I don't know why but it does. For your workout,…
  • I can totally relate! I'm from SoCal and now I'm in an area that is WAAYYYY colder (I'm a wimp, lol!). The cold makes my body crave comfort food like its no joke. What I do is work out more (to increase my caloric deficit) and eat what I want in a very moderate portion. It helps out a lot...and so does that darn space…
  • Your weight is only one puzzle piece in measuring your overall health/fit status. Are your clothes getting loser and does your body look more tone? I like taking periodic pictures of myself (front, back, side) and taking down some basic measurements (% body fat, neck, chest, waist, hips) to use as a reference. It's hard to…
  • It could be, especially with all the sodium and alcohol you consumed. But, don't beat yourself up. Just dust yourself off, and get back into the program. We all made bad food decisions. It happens. We ARE HUMAN. Tomorrow is a new day.
  • Wow! Your story is so AMAZING and INSPIRING!! Congrats for accomplishing your goals for YOU! I'm really impressed that you were able to fight back the diabetes, sleep apnea, and get off all that medication. Wow!!! :) :)
  • I've had roommates before and it is tempting. The easy thing is to blame someone else when ultimately you are the one who puts food in your mouth. Self-control isn't easy, but you can learn to practice and enforce it. The best option for me was always having my heathy snacks around and meal prep in advance. That way, when…
  • All of you are making me hungry! If I was at home, I'd probably not log as well. Too much food, lol! I'll just live vicariously thru everyone and my family back home. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
  • I am thankful for having such a loving and supporting husband, awesome children, and a very understanding and considering civilian employer who supports my military service.
