It seems that the more weight I lose, the more depressed I get :/ (is this just me or do others feel this way?)

Try lowering your current intake a little at a time (say, by 100 calories a week). Once you get to 1200 you won't be as hungry as just doing it all of a sudden and you will lose weight quickly.

try to eat more protein (seafood, white meat, yoghurt, and eggs are good lower-cal sources)
