  • I have been doing SW for 3 weeks and half lost 9.5lb. I have stopped keeping an MFP food diary because I know I'm eating a high amount of calories and I think logging those would make me anxious. I keep a general food diary to hand in to my consultant but if you stick to plan and eat mainly free foods, there isn't really…
  • If you eat intuitively then you might eat whenever you're hungry but conversely, you won't eat when you are not. That's a pretty big problem for us greedy fat people. So I see in a way why it might work. I guess it lacks structure for people who really need it.
  • Generally speaking I am having three meals per day but I'm probably having smaller ones now with relatively substantial snacks in between. Three square meals is a very old concept, it probably has as much general importance as anything else from the Caveman era.
  • Not that I don't love pizza. It's probably my biggest vice.
  • Just really greasy and icky. I appreciate you American guys generally have good pizza but outside of an Italian restaurant, pizza in the UK is mainly junk food.
  • I need both a big breakfast and a big lunch. Dinner not so much. I do most of my eating before mid afternoon. I guess it comes down to your habits as much as your preference.
  • Butterscotch protein pancake. It was delicious.
  • My egg intake has increased by a billion per cent. Hard boiled are the way FORWARD. But generally, anything you can premake and stick in the fridge is good. Like, make a whole heap of chicken legs, take the skin off and keep refridge'd.
  • I get Quest bars, too. I find them really filling so it's worth the macros. Some other bars I have been recommended are a measly 10g of protein and not even filling. They are just empty calories in my eyes. I tried the Nature Valley peanut one the other day - not a lot of protein, relatively small, not filling and didn't…
  • I caved and had pizza the other day. I didn't eat much because after a couple of weeks of eating healthily, it tasted like what it was - junk! Have a slice, have two/three if you want. And then you can move on!
  • I have cut out soft drinks and chocolate and my sugar levels are SO much better. I'm not actively looking for sugary products but I'm still consuming it in regular every day things that I don't necessarily associate with sugar.
  • I count my hot water and lemon towards my 8 glasses but having said that, I easily drink 8+ during the week. For some reason, when I am in my house and gasping for water, I'll check my phone or something rather than actually hydrate. So annoying.
  • My big problem with booze is that I drink unquantified amounts in the house. I am trying to generally drink less and not think I MUST drink alcohol to have fun or be social, but I'm hoping to stop drinking in the house and restrict booze to when I am out with friends. I'm less likely to binge when I have to pay London bar…
  • Yeah, they are a little pricey. You can usually get 12 or so bars for between £20-£25 and free delivery on Amazon which I don't think is too bad considering what I was paying for extra meals between meals before! They don't look much but are filling.
  • Hard boiled eggs and Quest bars are my life now. And they both taste GOOD.
  • I tried this and didn't like it. Too much fruit (so too much sugar) and I thought the vegetable juices were generally awful. And I didn't lose weight.
  • Just some follow up on my earlier post in this thread - I have lost 5.5lb this week on this plan. I am eating well in excess of what I would usually trying to lose weight with standard calorie counting. I've also started to eat and enjoy things which I wouldn't have tried without the suggestions on the plan. But I totally…
  • I have started a meal plan this week from this website: http://custommealplans.co/ It costs about £65/$99 and you complete a questionnaire about your habits, dislikes and lifestyles before they said you in - so they can take into account that you have a busy working life. I'm only 3 days into the plan so still very new to…
  • I suppose so - if you are used to something, anything and then take it away there are bound to be side effects. The low carb days for weeks 1-4 don't look so bad but I guess I'll have to see what I feel like if they are days when I work out.
  • I just started this today! I'm really keen to connect with other MFP users who are following this plan or have done in the past! Add me!
  • Thanks for sharing. It was like you were teaching this but I was seeing your thought process to yourself as well. The point about counting making you choose is a good one. I spent most of my afternoon working out how to have a nice dinner that would work with the calories. I entered and deleted, scribbled, drew, thought,…
  • I think it's ok to say "have a bigger bowl of cereal" etc but ultimately, that might mean a smaller sandwich later if the appetite isn't there. I know it's not ideal to have so few calories per day, but if it's a one off day where you've perhaps not done very much, not burned any real energy and not worked up an appetite…
  • If a diet has loads of rules and things that are strictly banned - count me out! So boring and restrictive.
  • I can't have anything on my arm or neck area as I do cheerleading so I could hurt myself or the flyer catching with something attached in that area. A shoe attachment would be perfect though, thank you for the suggestion!
  • I've been eating bits and pieces throughout the day. For example, yesterday I had a small bowl of soup in between breakfast and lunch and then I had some sushi a little bit later, after what should have been my lunch but before dinner. I still see this as snacking in a fashion, I've just made better choices than I…
  • Love my booze, it's probably the main reason I'm so fat. I was a big wine drinker but it's started to disagree with me. I mainly drink jack Daniels and coke, prosecco or cider. I like going to the pub but truthfully, do most of my drinking in the house in front of the telly. I'm trying to have a couple of booze free weeks…
  • Wow! That is without doubt the most horrendous reading that I ever did read.
