Hi, what do you typically eat for breakfast, and at what time of the morning do you eat, then deal with low blood sugar?

My employer offers Real Appeal paid for through United Health Care. To qualify, you have to have a poor BMI, which I did. They too sent us a digital bathroom scale, a awesome food scale, a small blender (similar to Magic Bullet), measuring cups and a portion plate, exercise videos, resistance bands and a cookbook. We also…

Most hotels' breakfast bars have enough food on them that you can take extra up to your room so you have it for later. I used to make a couple of trips downstairs--once to get coffee and take back yogurts, hard boiled eggs, a little cereal in a coffee cup with lid. I would make yogurt parfaits and take them with me to the…

During hurricane irma, we made a big batch of beef stroganoff---I ate WAY TO much of that weighting on the dang storm. I did get all my ironing finished LOL

I am under 4'11 currently 159--I am trying to get down to 130. I am 57 so hoping this is doable...when I get to 130, I am going to set a new goal :)

HaHa, yes--I had that great moment this morning. Went into another decade and started clapping. It's the little things in life that keep us going :)

hubby wants gourmet sloppy joes. The thought of ground beef makes me sick anymore. I think I will have a turkey burger on a brioche bun....saved my carbs for dinner---yea, I know, not good to eat them late, but oh well.

Yes I do use a food scale sent to me by RealAppeal (part of the United Healthcare weight loss program). Since I originally posted this, I have increased my walking in the morning by an additional 10 minutes and consistently getting over 10K steps a day. I started to see an improvement in the scale this week along with my…

Wow, I can't believe some of the things people have been saying to all of you. So cruel. At any point, you just have to do what is right for you. And yes, I agree, these aren't diets we are on, these are life changes. We are choosing to exercise and eat better for a healthier you. We all know "diets" don't work, but life…

I don't like to talk hurricanes---I just got all my repairs finished in late July from Hurricane Irma that hit one year ago today...I hope I never see another one again!

I have it and love it. Bought mine for $9.99 at Aldi. I had zoodles for lunch today...I don't really do the entire "marinara and sausage" because I agree, it doesn't taste like the real noodle. But I love it for low carb lunches. I love Mighty Spark's ground Tai chicken mixed with fresh onions and peppers and the zoodles.…

Everyone always talks about "starting a diet". Don't start a diet, start a life change. Focus with doable goals such as walking at least 3 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day. Reduce your calories to a safe deficit, no less than 1200 per day, try eating healthy well balanced meals and you should start to see the…

Coupons.com is a great site. But usually the store you are shopping at with digital coupons has the same ones as coupons.com. I also have found that in addition to digital coupons, my local store has in-store flyers and you can use their coupons stacked with a manufacturer's coupon---so double saving.
-
What are your major grocery stores in your area. I have found that I save more if I shop a couple of stores. I love Aldi for produce, eggs, milk and meats. I do my other shopping bi-weekly at Publix and use digital coupons AND they also have gas cards $10 off with every $50 at least twice a month.

Try eating food rather than drinking your calories...eat high protein, low carb in the morning and that should get you through until lunch. Plan on a small healthy snack at 3:00 and that will get you through until dinner time.

20 pounds is fantastic. You should surely be seeing it in your clothes. You can tell in the picture.
-
I only gained 21 pounds and my belly was gigantic. I can't imagine gaining 70 pounds. Keep nursing, the weight will fall off. Keep exercising as well and eat a well balanced diet. The weight will come off.
-
You look marvelous. May I ask how tall you are, you look petite like me
-
tamiloew--I am 57 and barely over 4'10". I weigh in at 160. I am staying at 1200 calories and exercising. Do you mind if I ask what exercising and how long and how many days a week?
-
Overnight oats with added protein
-
It makes a nice desert milkshake if you use frozen fruit with it in the blender---lots of protein
-
I make my own chicken breakfast burgers from ground chicken and lots of spices. I eat that with fresh fruit. Sometimes I add a half of an corn english muffin--since you don't like eggs, I didn't post anything about eggs

I do not use my Fitbit HR to enter my calories. Before I was on Real-Appeal (weight loss program offered for free by my employer) I used MFP to log in my food.
-
it goes the other way too, I have gone in for a yearly check up and they didn't comment on the amount of weight I lost....would have been nice to hear some nice words about that.
-
Looks yummy
-
I use roasted red peppers from the jar...then I don't need any mayo.
-
I am 4'10"..so I hear your pain. I would give anything to be over 5 feet. I struggle with my weight as well, have for the past 30 years. I was 163 mid January and currently just under 153 (152.8). My goal is 130 and to loose inches in my arms, upper thighs and my belly area.

If you can't make the gym, there is always a way to do some type of exercising at home. I understand you were taking care of your sick daughter, but you also could have done something for yourself at home....

I like to eat mine cold, because Florida is so hot these days.
