Love it! It's all about continuous improvement. I've been running as well but increasing distances tends to leave me with aching joints so i bought a great bike last week and will supplement with cycling. So, gym 4 times per week, cycling and running each week. It's working, 20 lbs down in 3 months. About half way to goal

Protein is good. Shown to support muscle development, satisfying, and uses up more calories to digest. Overnight oats are great or protein smoothie with peanut butter are my favourites. Best

I think we all know what the good choices are that we should be making but the practical application is tricky! MFP helps to train me on the practical application of good choices and also making sure i get enough protein for muscles that seem to be aching constantly from the gym

Plenty of research that suggests people who record their intake on a regular basis are far more successful in losing weight and keeping to the plan.It does make me think twice before going for seconds...

Go for it Kara! As part of a new years resolution I'm 14 lbs down but going very slooooooooowww. Hitting the gym 4 x per week and running twice per week. Meant to be doing a long run today but it's horrible weather outside. That's my excuse anyway. All the best
