  • I'd like to join
  • Ditto. Overcorrecting can lead to swerving which can lead to spin outs. I've been doing this for a year and had too many days like that to count, but not making a big deal out of them is like a secret weapon.
  • I make my own soup nowadays and it is easier to control the sodium. Google "zero point soup" for an easy recipe. :) Good luck.
  • Oatmeal with chia seed, flax seed and agave nectar. Made it a recipe, super easy to log.
  • Homemade super low-cal soups in big batches. Google "zero point soup" Serious I lost 60 of my 90 pounds because of it.
  • It depends on what your goal is. The more you want to lose fat in conjunction with any other goals you have, the more counting calories will improve your chances of doing that.
  • It depends on where they carry their weight. People thought I weighed 250 when I weighed 360. I don't know why.
  • That's a tough one. Physically staying out of the kitchen helps me. Also avoiding food shows. Also try to link going to bed hungry with success in your head, so that going to bed hungry actually makes you feel good. Last resort, save some calories for a snack. Good luck!
  • 54 weeks, 88 pounds.
  • I do the same thing, fennel gets nice and sweet when roasted.
  • Tie going to the gym with a non-food activity you enjoy. You only get to do it after the gym. It can be anything, watching a movie you like, having sex, listening to a favorite album, going to the beach, anything. Do that for a few weeks, and you will have associated the gym with pleasure in your brain, and you can stop…
  • As luck would have it, I just typed out a PM to someone today about mine. Here goes. I have a Fitbit Charge HR. I had been wanting an activity tracker since I started on MFP, but couldn't really justify the money. Then once I had enough saved, I looked around and the one I wanted was the Fitbit Force, but the same week…
  • Sounds like he is trying but doesn't know what to do, wouldn't it be nice if he didn't do that to the next girl he asked out. Sounds like YOU should take HIM for coffee, and responsibly educate him on manners.
  • A footlong cold cut combo or BLT with all veggies, lite mayo and mustard and no oil or cheese is under 800 calories. Also, Taco Bell has something called a shredded chicken mini quesadilla(sp?), they're 180 each, and 3-4 of them work for me (and I'm a big eater) for under 800 calories.
  • Thank you. That's an awesome amount, I can only do 3 around my neighborhood or risk injury.
  • I use Endomondo to track specific exercises because it posts to my MFP wall, which is an important feature for me. I use my Charge HR to track daily stuff, and it takes into account my Endomondo exercize and posts a negative or positive adjustment into my food diary. It took me some time to get the right push settings and…
  • I started at 360, and didn't see a difference for 30 pounds. I am at 287 right now, and also haven't seen a difference since about 315. But I'm looking primarily at my midsection, I haven't been paying much attention to my arms, back butt or thighs. Could it be where you are looking?
  • I started MFP in April with 160 pounds to lose, all I choose to do is walk and watch calories. I started walking about 10 minutes at a time, slowly, a couple times a week, because it was all I can do. Now, I'm up to 3 miles walked around my neighborhood, at 3mph, 5 times a week. I've lost 70 pounds as of Feb 5th 2015. You…
  • Have the same breakfast every day, and even on the weekends. Knowing you did good at breakfast helps set the day on the right track. Also, pack healthy snacks in your purse/bag. I keep 45 calorie stretch island fruit leathers in my bag, they save me from stopping at a drive through so many times.
  • Yep, it is.
  • Lynette, this is how I gave up diet soda (did it 12/29/2012 and never went back). I woke up that morning and had a diet soda. Then I didn't have any until the first sign of a headache. At that point I had one can. Then I didn't have another can until the first sign of another headache. Then again. Each time the headaches…
  • Been doing MFP since last April, and that's happened to me too. You need to know the food in your system, which doesn't really count toward your weight, can weight anything from .5 to 4 Pounds. So you could be losing weight even when the scale isn't moving over a week because the weight of the food in your system…
