  • Hello! I have found that I have done similar over the last year. I have joined here 3 or 4 times and gave up quickly. I am hoping with the new year I can finally get into gear. I am 35, I have 2 toddlers so I am exhausted all the time. I work full time though which allows me to at least have a lunch break so sometimes I…

  • Hello! I started back up again on here a few weeks ago. I love having friends to motivate me, especially if you have an open diary for ideas! Thanks!!
  • Came to the message boards looking for friends! I have been on here in the past. Since then I have had two babies so I am at a whole new level of needing to lose weight! I have about 20-25 lbs to lose to be more healthy.
  • I love canned vegetables and sometimes they are like 70 cents! Tuna and vegetables? you could make wraps or sandwiches probably also
  • Thank you for all of the suggestions! Maybe i shouldn't be afraid to lift things as getting stronger might be better. I do actually have a brace, that could keep my wrist in a good position while lifting. And I may look into getting bands. Thanks!!
  • I think if you just start by tracking your food, no matter what you're eating, it is a huge start. Just getting into that habit I think makes you more aware of what you're eating and it is really the first step. Don't put pressure on yourself to make huge changes yet, just start tracking everything. Maybe you will be more…
  • Wedding in June! Looking to lose about 10 lbs. Feel free to friend me!!
  • I eat anything as long as it's within my calories but if you're interested in something sweet with a few more benefits than just candy, I love medjool dates. They taste pretty much like candy to me!
  • I am aiming for 10 by May or so. Anyone can add me!!
  • Anyone feel free to add me! I chose .5 a week and it is still 1200, I am only 5'2". I have an open diary. I will probably go over 1200 on weekends and when I exercise
  • Log everything! I personally don't have one, but most people use a kitchen scale to actually measure food so it is more accurate. I personally find that focusing on eating more protein/veggies works for me, but as long as you are eating equal to or under the calories MFP shows, you will lose weight. On that note, still…
  • You're going to be fine!! 3 months is plenty of time, log everything, stay positive. Personally for me, focusing on more proteins/veggies helps but as long as your calories are in line you are going to be great!
  • Log your food, drink your water, you have plenty of time :)
  • Congrats :) My wedding is in June and I am back on here to feel amazing! For me once I'm in the healthy mindset, it is easy going. The hard part is getting there. Feel free to friend me!!
  • I am looking for new friends also. I came back after 2 years and almost all of my friends are inactive or unfriended me for being inactive! Love seeing other people succeeding, it helps me a lot!
  • One thing I used to do if I absolutely wanted something from work was I would take it to my desk and actually take it home as an after dinner snack! I would log it and say I can have it, but later. That helped me plan my day and I didn't miss out
  • I love spaghetti squash. I will make beef with taco seasoning or turkey meatballs and tomato sauce on top of spaghetti squash. So easy. 1 squash will give me 4 lunches usually!
  • Wedding in June! Just started MFP up again. I slowly gained back all of the weight I lost using this site when I met my fiancé, so time to get serious :). I am pretty short so you can see any weight change on me! I only really need to lose about 10-12 lbs to be comfortable, but I am very determined to get there. Feel free…
  • The one funny thing about Passover is it can be an easy time to eat kinda low carb! If you're really sticking to it, you can't snack mindlessly on any pretzels or most candies and chips. It's definitely tough though, holiday foods are so yummy and even without bread you have that matzah covered in butter. Stick to things…

  • I need 300-400 calories set away for AFTER dinner or I'm in trouble! I have always been a late night snacker. And I do pre log too for the most part!
  • Think of your calories on a weekly basis versus daily for a moment. If you go under on a Monday, but you go out for a birthday on Saturday and didn't log, there is a chance you went over on Saturday. So I think it's fine to be a little under and I don't force myself to eat more if I went over another day. (Though 99.9% of…
  • Interesting topic! My guess is I would have a BMI around 25 or 26, putting me in the slightly overweight catergory. I weigh around 122 now, I would probably be around 137-140 if I ate everything i wanted. If it was healthy and attractive, I'd do it! :)
  • Tuna (you can get it in the pouch so you can eat it with crackers or right out of the packet without worrying about a can!), string cheese, veggies and hummus, cottage cheese. I have been bringing a lot of turkey/chicken sausage to work, they have so many good flavors now, and you can heat it up with a side of vegetables.…
  • If you look at your calories on a weekly basis and want to have a higher calorie day, create a deficit on the other days. I tend to watch my calories very closely during the week knowing that I'll likely go over on the weekend. If you eat at maintenance and then splurge a day or two, you will gain weight. But if you leave…
  • Hello! 27 (almost 28 here) work full time, in school part time. Anyone feel free to add me!! (preferably if you have an open diary, I like to get ideas :) )
  • They have frozen, already cooked chicken breasts or strips, those are really easy to grab and heat up and make a wrap or salad. I also think tuna is a great cheap protein. If you don't love raw veggies, what about fruit and peanutbutter? I have also found turkey sausage with interesting flavors. There are a lot of easy…
