  • Hi drbuzzard91, losing weight is simple but hard. Don't be discouraged if the numbers don't change or even go up after a few weeks, just remember that over everything else CICO matters.   • Hey Sarah, I've recently taken up some physical activity too! 3 or 4 days of the week I'll run for about 35 minutes. A few times a week I'll use a 10-lb. dumbbell to tone my arms.I'd like to partner up so we can be fitness buddies!
  • Usually several times a day: once in the morning to see what my "base" weight for the day is, and throughout the day (especially after meals or bathroom breaks) to get a sense of how much my weight can fluctuate.
  • You're building muscle, so it's not surprising that there's not really much weight loss. But yay for your clothes fitting better! That's always an awesome feeling :)
  • Eat more protein/veggies, and less rice! It's amazing how quickly the calories in rice can add up.
  • 5'7.5'' and 177 pounds. I started out at 190, so it's been a little slow, but thankfully a steady decline. Personally I did about 1530 cal/day, but 1600 should be fine as well - you may see a slower change in weight, though. And if you work out, you'll be able to lose a little faster.
