  • Someone on here suggested to me giving yourself a manicure or pedicure at night. It's tough to snack with lotion on your hands or wet nails
  • @Malone827‌ This is right up your alley ;)
  • Ugggg, me too! I found myself on the couch eating it out of the jar with a spoon.whats wrong with me??? LOL so now it doesn't come in the house.
  • We are in about the same situation (baby age, weight to lose, and timeline)! We got this ;)
  • Great job!!
  • I wanted to share my experience as it may help others. When I started, I dropped my calories to 2000 right of the bat. Because it was a sudden change, my supply suffered. I upped calories and started on the tea and it came back. I've gradually decreased calories again (to 2200) and my supply, and loss, are fine :) moral of…
  • Hi! Congratulations on your little one :) I've started the tea and it is helping. I also upped my calories and I've found a good balance :) thank you!!
  • BFing here, too. I started Monday with 2000 as my goal, no exercise (just to see what happened to my supply)...I totally killed my supply. I'm eating enough, but I guess what I was eating to now was just a big jump (embarrassing) my milk stalled. I will happily give support if you have any tips on how to keep supply up!
  • In case anyone was wondering, I noticed a huge drop in my supply today :(
  • On pinterest there are low calorie " brownie in a mug" recipes which help me. I like the brand "skinny cow" , but I'm not sure if New Zealand would have it...
  • Hi! Some women add it in as an exercise (ie breastfeeding, 500 cal). I manually changed my calorie goal to account for nursing. For example, my goal is 2000. So far (since Monday) I have lost weight and my supply is the same...but I'll see if I need to adjust it as I go :)
  • I just started back to MFP since my son was born (he is 10 months) it doesn't sound like anyone has been able to find the right amount of calories to lose and still maintain supply...am I doomed? I am eating 2000 daily, nursing 6 to 8 times in 24 hours, and pumping 3 times daily (to help keep supply going). Any thoughts on…
  • There are a lot of great ideas here! I just wanted to share my experience with cutting out sweeteners. Once I did, naturally sweet food seemed sweeter (like some ppl posted)! That really helped. I also found that if I had something with a sweetener (I bought a flavored water with it by accident) I had crazy headaches,…
  • Such a good idea! It is difficult to snack when your nails are drying or your hands are covered in lotion. Lol
  • For me, it was my one year wedding anniversary. My husband and I took and trip and the plan was to go horseback riding (which I love) when I called to schedule our ride, I had to lie about my weight because I was about 15 pounds heavier then allowed :( I jumped into MFP and Zumba and lost almost 50 lbs. I was able to enjoy…
  • I saw "target" in the subject line, and got all giddy because I thought it was the store...just saying. Ha ha You are so close, great job!!
  • I have a 10 month old and am looking to lose about that much too! I can't seem to add you, if you want to add me we can encourage each other!
  • If you wanted to up calories, what about cheese or nuts? I'm not sure about carbs, but I thought they were fairly low... it has been a few days, any movement on the scale? Stay strong, girl! :)
  • I've tried to add most of you, no luck :( Seriously, this feels like my "home"! I have a 10 month old and he is exclusively nursing (almost no solids due to health issues) and I'm trying to find that sweet spot to lose weight, but not milk. Feel free to add me. Go team mommy!
  • Not a false statement. This is what I've learned from experience and other gals. Your body won't burn fat if it isn't getting what it needs to function. Everyone is different :) your suggestions were also helpful!
  • Me too! SAHM here. Looking to stay motivated. Only 30 lbs until I meet my goal, but I am nursing as well which makes this tricky. Feel free to add me! :)
  • Did anyone help you yet? I love MFP, but 1200 is pretty low, for most people. If you don't consume at least that many calories, your body thinks you are starving (natural defence) and holds onto fat. Try meeting that, or even going up to 1400 and see how you do. :)
  • Hi! I lost 50 pounds in 2013, got pregnant, had a baby, and now I'm looking to pick up where I left off and lose my last 30 lbs. My pickle is how to lose weight while still breastfeeding. Just seeing if anyone is in the same boat! :)
