Stop the frat boy lifestyle. It is time to grow up and think of your future. Do you really think drinking until passing out is the path to health and longevity?

Weight fluctuates. Stop weighing every day, switch to once per week. This is a life commitment to better health, not a sprint to a finish.
-
Yes, it really is that basic. The reason extreme and fad type diets don't work in the long run is they are not sustainable. Simply eating less than you have been can be done for the rest of your life.

It is extremely unlikely that you can lose 2 pounds per week on a continual basis. As your weight goes down the loss will slow. Stick with a reasonable and sustainable plan and you will achieve success no matter how long it takes. Good luck.

Worrying about water weight is foolishness, a human's weight fluctuates for many reasons. The adult human is normally about 57% water and it ranges normally between 50% and 65%. Makes about as much sense as worrying about one's weight going up between eating and defecating.

I don't understand why you won't answer the questions you have been asked. Unless you are over 300 pounds now that calorie goal is probably too high but no way to know without real numbers.

Walking you always have one foot on the ground. Running there is a period of time when you are not touching the ground. To accomplish this you must use muscle power to lift your weight from the ground. Here are the calculations I use; run - multiply .63 times your weight times the miles walk - multiply .30 times your…

Everyone has abs, it is just that most keep it hidden under a layer of fat. Lose the fat and the abs will show.

Fitness trackers (Fitbit) are great for people with OCD tendencies but not necessary. :) It can be a helpful motivator having a nanny on your wrist if you are into the kind of thing.

I've never tried it but have read that a little apple cider vinegar helps to alleviate heartburn although it seems counter intuitive. Of course there is always Tums.

Being alive burns calories even when sleeping.

When I find an incorrect entry I edit the entry to the correct information. It is easy for anyone to do.

I guess if I had a pet peeve, it would be people making lists of pet peeves. I prefer to stay positive.

Good luck on your upcoming change of lifestyle walking. If the 9k per day is too daunting an alternative would be to drive one way. Drive in on Monday and walk home, walk in on Tuesday and drive home, drive in on Wednesday and walk home, etc.

Activity trackers (Fitbit, et al) are a fad. They are totally unnecessary as proven by the billions of people that have never owned one.
-
I don't have any pet peeves but I bet I know your friend's peeves; "Every time we plan to go out, pinggolfer96 wants to go somewhere he can eat healthy!"
-
It's the exercise. Can we not assume that you are burning more calories by exercising than you were by not exercising?

Makes no difference at all. Your body lives continuously, it doesn't reboot at midnight erasing the previous day.

There is a lot of disagreement about the benefits of statins and the risks of high cholesterol. The only thing for sure is that they are highly profitable for the pharmaceutical companies. Personally I believe they are only beneficial to a very small percentage of the people taking them. You might be in that small…

You are incorrect and on top of that you posted to a nearly three year old thread. If you want to discuss the validity of your belief it would be best to start your own thread with a descriptive subject line.

I love hills. On uphills pump your arms vigorously, your legs will follow. On downhills relax your arms even to the point of flailing them at your sides. Do not lean back against the hill, remain upright and enjoy the gravity. As to the funny feeling in your chest and light headedness, maybe you should consult a doctor.…

You have probably been eating the same meals over and over again your entire life, most people do. Ignore all the so-called "diet" foods and just eat what you like. If trying to lose weight, you need to eat less than you have been, not eat different foods.

I've not had venison steaks but roasts are very common. After soaking, marinating, and slow cooking it is very good and the gaminess is gone.

If you keep using the same entry it won't drop off. Use a different entry and the old one will fade away.

The day before or day of a race is not the time to try something new. Do whatever you do before training runs.

It is meant as motivation, according to the OP they find it a motivator.

Unrefined, or virgin, or pure coconut oil is not hydrogenated. Some refined coconut oil is hydrogenated, some isn't.

You cannot outrun asthma. Are you using an inhaler before exercising? Do you carry a rescue inhaler? Maybe you should walk first until you can go 3 to 5 miles at a fast walk without pain or difficulty. Then intersperse some running into your walks.

What is your current condition/status? Do you run now? Weight? Height? Age? When I click your profile it says page not found.

I'm not sure what you all are talking about but walking is my usual exercise. I put on my shoes, go out the door and walk. No DVD necessary. :)
