I would pick one and stick with it. Weight fluctuates regardless and is only one measure of progress, so as long as your measuring is consistent (i.e. one scale) your progress will be recorded.

Not sure where that is, but I'd be happy to be friends. ;)

I'll request you. :)

Hello @zagadee, I agree with @viajera99 that you will get more helpful responses on your own thread with more details. Here is how to post: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032625871-How-do-I-post-in-the-forums- But, I will say, YOU CAN. You can seek help (which you are), and support (which you are),…

@justanotherloser007, "a meal of cheese" I think we might have just become best friends. I too said "special occasions only" to cheese. I LOVE it on everything, but it's way too easy to have way too much. Cheese and hummus. I could eat hummus for days.

This looks like way more than 100. Hot mama!

Thanks Connie. Its so hard to break out of the "faster is better" mindset, but when there is no finish line, there is no need to go "fast" the need is to keep going. :)

Sometimes it's necessary to step back and ask yourself what advice you would give a friend in a similar situation. I am trying to take my own advice with this. With the combo of the doctor saying that my body is most likely just taking some time to adjust to my weight loss and the fact that I am 8 pounds ahead of my 2021…

I am just about 100 pounds down and have some loose skin under my arms that is annoying, but I think will continue to lessen as I get closer to goal weight. And like @wunderkindking said its not noticeable under clothes and is 100% worth it for the health benefits of losing the extra weight.

41-year-old Minnesota mom, kicking fat's *ss with #CICO and #running. Down 98 pounds so far. Feel free to add me, I love having connections on here and log in daily.

Congrats! You got this!

You absolutely CAN do it!

100%! I heard a podcaster recommend that when you get hard on yourself, think back to yourself pre-life changes. What would the before-times you think of the progress you've made? "Before times me" would be freaking blown away by the progress I've made. The "now me" feels like its not fast enough. Sometimes its all about…

Thanks so much!!

Drinking zero-calorie soda or bubbly water will make you fat. Food with literally zero calories will make you fat.

A few weeks ago, I graduated from the None to Run program, ran 25 minutes without stopping, and completed FOUR 5k’s with my daughter. Now I am chasing MY goal of running a 5k without any walking. Since I really appreciated the None to Run program, and found injury-free success on it, I plan to use the 8 week Run to 5K…

Awesome job!

41 with one nine year old at home. Love MFP friends. Add away. :)

It’s a paid app, but I just finished the none to Run program and would recommend it if you are truly starting from no running, more gradual on ramp to running.

Love this one! So true! I had to add in extra activities to take place of food and extra emotional tools being food. ❤️❤️

Congrats!

Hi Jeremy, I absolutely think that having friends on here is helpful, both for encouragement and when you have questions along the journey. You NEED to have people around you when you are attempting to change your life. People who are on the same journey as you and thus can encourage you on when you fall and applaud your…

Here is another resource to get you started on volume eating - it is more of a trick to help your body feel full for fewer calories. Great for those for whom a shake just doesn't qualify as a meal. :) https://midsoulfitness.wordpress.com/2021/03/06/10-of-the-most-innovative-ways-to-include-volume-eating-in-your-diet-plan/

And THIS made my whole day! I can believe I am on your desktop! :)

I am always game for more friends. :) I am a 41-year-old self-employed Mom and am down almost 90 pounds and still love popsicles, hummus, and chips (along with copious amounts of veggies). I have about 45 more to go to my ultimate goal weight but plan to keep doing this in a sustainable way losing about 1lb a week. I…

That's awesome! We are the same size! Such a great feeling. :)

Starting weight: 272lbs on 2/29/2020 and 204lbs on 1/1/21 Goal weight: 136 Current weight: 183 Total weight lost: 89 This week's successes: I ran my first 5k with my daughter. This week's challenges: My scale died and I thought I lost 5lb overnight, spoiler alert, I didn't. But am on track to lose 1 lb/week in 2021, which…

Week 12 was HARD for me, somehow adding in those extra two minutes was exponentially harder. But, I did it. And I celebrated graduation by going for my first 5K with my nine-year-old daughter, however, I realized about 5 minutes in that this wasn’t MY race. It was OUR race and it was HER race. Read more about that race -…
