Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. :-)

I would describe myself as being moderately active. I'm a caregiver

It's complicated. Lol

I hear ya. I'm having success regardless, it just didn't seem right although it probably is. Thanks for the response

Well Damn...Lol...I mean, that's awesome though. Good news. More food for me. :-)

Thanks for the advice and tips. I'm back in control of things and I continue to lose despite my indiscretions. For those recommending that I focus on quitting smoking first before losing weight; not a chance. I'm having too much success to just give up on it and focus on something I suck at. Lol In the meantime, I'll…

Cool song. Thanks. :-)

Beautiful, smart, and a red head. Hard to beat that. Anyways, to those harping on the OP's word selection, chill out. I too work with mentally challenged individuals and I really don't take offense to the word 'retard'. Honestly, sometimes...in the right context, it's hilarious. Sometimes...in the right context...

Feelings are just that...Feelings. Sometimes they are legit and sometimes we come to a fork in the road when it's time to determine to conquer and fight our battles despite how we feel. I respect the struggle the OP faces, but she seems to be asking how we find motivation. For me, and like most others, this all comes down…

Don't indulge your own self pity. If you have a bad day, get over it and move on. The only other option is to just quit. Don't let your feelings determine everything.

Yeah. I'm meticulous about logging correctly. No reason to lie or fudge the numbers. Man, I really hate the D word...lol

Well, I had my first official weigh in today and despite my drop off on the weekends, I've still lost 8.3 lbs in my first month which is right about the pace I'm aiming for. Goal this month is to improve those weekend derailment issues. Think I'll just eat at maintenance on the weekends so I have a little leeway to relax a…

Add me up...

It doesn't have to be perfect, just consistent. If you wanna freak over the most minute details, that's up to you. But having 8.2 vs. 8.0 ounces of orange juice is going to have absolutely zero effect on anything.

Just find what healthy foods work for you and go after it. Do an intense 20 minutes of cardio everyday and you'll be set. Most importantly, don't focus on the numbers on the scale. Weighing everyday will only frustrate you. Personally, I try to weigh every two weeks. And finally, and this will save your life, if you have a…

I guess I'm strange, I went crazy. About 4500 calories, but alas I'm right back on track today with under 1800 and 400 burned via exercise. :-)

UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the advice and happy birthday to those whose is also today or imminent. :) So went to Sonic and had an indulgent tryst with a couple burgers, some fries, a large Coke, and half a large shake. Yeah well, 2975 calories later I can confidently tell you i feel like *kitten* and will be much more…

You are NOT beginning again just because you slipped. This is a long battle we have to fight and there will be moments of progress, triumph, failure, and testing. Testing whether we will get up our just lay there and die. Picking up yourself isn't beginning again, nor is it starting at Square One. It's where you are for…

Yes, darn it!!! No, you're right. I knew I was wrong and just bitter as soon as I posted this. Frustration is frustration no matter the circumstances...obviously. :-)
-
You barely have any weight to lose, and you're frustrated? Many would do anything, and are fighting major battles, just to have a chance at being in your shoes.

Me too, Ian. One day I'll eat 300 calories short and exercise 200, the next day I'll eat 1000 short and exercise 150, the next day I'll eat 500 short and exercise 200. That mostly fasted day every third or fourth day does me wonders. I'll just eat a big 1000-1200 calorie dinner and that food is the best food I've ever had.…

Pretty sure that's not being communicated correctly. You don't need to burn the 500 per day via exercise alone, or exercise at all even. It's about a 500 calorie deficit per day whether done by exercise, calorie restriction, or a combination of the two.

I have a simple way of dealing with this. I don't do free days. I don't make allowances for cheating every day...or one day per week. I aim for excellence; knowing I'll probably not be perfect, but I'll come close. HOWEVER...life is meant for living. If my parents come to town and are going to take me out to eat; all bets…

I'm in for 75. Add me peeps!!! :-)

Add me too, I'm game. And half vampire, get bent.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem Emma. :/ Anyhow, add me guys, I'd love to follow and be motivated by your progress!!!

Me too bro.

Add me...I'm cool as the other side of the pillow.
