I am the same. I got on keto this past October for 5 weeks, dropped 15 lbs and have struggled ever since. I love sugar ... candy, cookies, especially donuts and I indulged. I am 54 and my daily calorie goal is 1400/per day. I exercise everyday and when in ketosis, I lose weight. I am 15 lbs from goal and also have hypothyriod. Hang n there and hopefully u can find some things that work for u. Theres alot of knowledge people on here.

I am the same and reading on the internet, alot of people have the same problem. It was suggested that I get a hobby ... something else besides eating an tv. Also, a little exercise (maybe a walk or rowing machine) tends to help curb my appetite after I get home from work. Hang n there an ur not alone.

Haha! Kirkor, the culprit for the weight gain was my age coupled w/sugar, sugar, and sugar and being diagnosed w/hypothyriod. I didnt think I cld lose weight bcuz of the thyriod issues but I am 15 lbs from my goal :)!

I have eaten like this my entire life. I never had a weight problem until I turned 46. I am almost 54 and still eat this way. It works for me but I got some slack on here (not this community) so I made my diary private. Everybody is different and what works for one person doesnt always work for the other.

Ughhhh! I am still struggling. My husband argues sugar is not addicting but for me it is. I did 5 weeks no problem. Gave n2 cravings at Thxgiving and now Im struggling. What do u do when ur head is telling u 'its the season, go ahead an have just one'?

I agree it is disheartening. I just get scared I wont stop the cycle. It took me a year to clean up my diet. I love sugar. Actually, I am addicted to it and I found the only way to stop eating it is to stop eating it. My advice is dont b so hard on urself about ur carb intake.
