Y eah that is true you can eat or drink whatever you want. I just don't drink much but that's me personally. The most important thing is portion sizes and measurements. You can do this.

I would suggest eating 1500 calories a day. Maybe start out at 1700 and gradually start eat less until you get to 1500. I know one thing to consider when trying to eat healthier is to by organic non processed foods try preparing your own meals that way you knw exactly what is going in to your body. Do you have any specific goals to achieve ? What are you wanting to accomplish and by what date?

I think you have to try and remember what your goal is and the reason that you decided you needed a change in your life. A year is a long time congratulations but don't give up. Try making small achieve able goals for yourself . And find others that would be willing to exercise with you.
