http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm This is a link that one of my favorite blogs posted. She's a runner, and states this is pretty reliable. It gives you kind of a guide for calorie cycling ones you enter your info.

currently I'm doing Hal Higdon's novice 10k program. I'm at the end of it actually. Next I'll be doing his 15K novice program. I've done a few 5k's before, but wanted to train for more LDR's. I'd like to eventually do the Chi-town marathon, but that's definitely not this year, lol.

I use both Chai seeds and flax. Both are good for you either way. I had to order mine through amazon though since they are not as assessable as flax

Colonel Sandurz: Try here. Stop. Dark Helmet: What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie? Colonel Sandurz: Now. You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now. Dark Helmet: What happened to then? Colonel Sandurz: We passed then. Dark Helmet: When? Colonel Sandurz: Just now.…

My HRM is the best purchase. Tracking your calories burned more accurately for your body type? What could be better in your journey to weight loss? Second would be my purchase of at home workout DVD's. There is absolutely no excuse NOT to workout (unless your sick). My digital food scale was a gift this past Christmas, and…

First week 2. I did fairly well. I did NOT get any walks in because I was caring for the household's plague, and then caught it on Saturday.. I am still on the mend today and hopefully I'll be 100% by days end. Everything else was golden though! I still feel like I can do better, and hopefully the flu is leaving my house,…

I have a butternut squash in my fridge right now I'm afraid to make.

I agree with the others. Make them at home. You can freeze it in individual containers or use freezer bags, lay them flat on a tray, and when they're frozen they're easy to stack! I'd double bag them though.

Don't give up because others are too lazy to join together with the parents to teach the kids. Teaching out kids are a team effort. In my day, you didn't get away with anything. You learned cause and effect. There would be no way my mother would drop off a coat for me either. It didn't make her a bad parent, it taught me…

I suck. I got my period, and my cramps are always, ALWAYS comparable to labor pains. I also started coming down with something and it hit my chest. I don't work out when there's anything going on below my neck. I probably could've walked though, but I didn't think about that until the week ended! I'm always run or nothing.…

I've been looking forward to this all week. I love a challenge! I'm Elizabeth, 34, and a wife and mom of 2. I've always kind of stayed conscious of what I eat even when I'm not dieting full force and I know when I fell off my wagon. I've ran a couple 5K's last year, and that was far from anything I even thought of doing in…

Amazing how foods with lower calories can be so high in fat. Sounds like you learned your lesson though! Me personally, I skip a LOT of condiments or find healthier replacements. The higher fat just isn't worth it, but I'm also at a pretty low daily calorie so every calorie and fat gram is precious to me!

I think sugar free jello has 10 calories in it if you wanna go that route.....

Thank you all so much! I'm really feeling the love, and added everyone to my FL. I find it funny because I was doing sparkpeople until a friend talked me into MFP, and now she's rarely on! I'll never give up my journey. I just don't have much support at home and I need to get it somewhere. My husband thinks I look great…

Hope this helps. TRAINING ZONES Healthy Heart Zone (Warm up) --- 50 - 60% of maximum heart rate: The easiest zone and probably the best zone for people just starting a fitness program. It can also be used as a warm up for more serious walkers. This zone has been shown to help decrease body fat, blood pressure and…

I would highly recommend you check out Jillian Michaels Boost your Metabolism (the library carries it if you don't have any other way of attaining it). It not only gives you great straight forward suggestions to live by, but she explains the WHY you should do the things she suggests.

fantastic!

I'll workout as long as it doesn't hit my throat (sore throat, cough, ect) or below. I may not look pretty with the nasal drip but with enough tissue, I usually manage to get it done. I wont lie though, I am NOT one of those who'll "feel better" working out when sick. I still feel gross. Relaxing afterword's doing…

try the foods that's suppose to be a natural laxative, as well as an OTC one. I wouldn't be too concerned yet. I've had the same issue, and it eventually works itself out......um, pun intended? lol ;)

I usually lift enough weight for it to be a struggle by the end of the sets. If I'm not struggling a little then I increase.

well, today I brought sweet and spicy tuna, 6 crackers, a cheese stick, fruit, and a caramel fiber one bar (to satisfy my sweet tooth). I also bring breakfast which was instant oatmeal, with 2 T of ground flax mixed in. I usually enter my breakfast and lunch info the night before to see how it looks, and make changes…

I have a Polar HRM. It's on of their lower models, and I love it. The chest strap is much more accurate. I don't use a pedometer for my walks because I don't feel its accurate, but others might have better luck with theirs, lol.
