  • I agree with Miralax. I have also found that a cup of coffee helps. Apple juice has always been recommended for my daughter and seems to help her.
  • I ate a ton of oatmeal-it's filling and helps with any supple issues. Grab and go snacks that I could eat with one hand were a staple in the beginning weeks-trail mix, string cheese, granola bars, fruits/veggies, yogurt. (And far too many chips and cookies
  • I'm just eating well and doing the bikini body mommy 5.0 workouts. She has an ab workout also. I second checking in with your doctor-depending on how big your separation is, PT might help.
  • Hi! I have a 12 month old and had lost all my baby weight (45 pounds) plus a few extra by 4 months post-partum but PPD and winter set in and I gained about 15 pounds back. Now it's almost summer, PPD is under control and I'm ready to lose it again! My biggest issue is that baby still isn't sleeping through the night (so…
  • 5'6" My current weight is around 165 and my goal weight is 135-140.
  • What did you do for exercise when you were first starting out? At his size, he complains about sore knees and ankles with most traditional cardio or weightlifting. I suggested swimming but the chance of him putting on swim trunks public is zero. Is focusing on diet alone until a certain weight is reached the best option?
  • Wow! You look awesome! Way to go! My partner is having a hard time finding motivation to start and stick to a plan. He says having so much to lose (100+ pounds) is disheartening. I will be showing him your pictures in the morning as inspiration!
  • Results take time! I keep telling myself that-I still haven't lost a pound. Today I went crazy with eating and am way over on calories. But it was pizza. That is my weakness. Tomorrow is a new day. I'm leaving my little one with a sitter (grandma) for the first time tomorrow afternoon and am so incredibly nervous! I was…
  • Are you seeing any changes yet?
  • Good luck! I'm 5'6" and aiming for 140! 15 pounds to go!
  • How often does everyone take measurements? I try to weigh myself weekly but that seems frequent for measurements..is monthly better? Or every 2 weeks?
  • My eating had been great...until today. I couldn't stop eating! I also have been struggling with wanting to smoke. I had quit cold turkey 2 weeks before we found out we were expecting but lately I really have been missing it. No baby food yet...but I can hardly wait to start! I really want to make and freeze most…
  • Are you exercising? Days I actually exercise, I eat more. And I try to add protein to every meal and snack. Cheese, PB, yogurt, beans, deli meat. There are days I'm starving all day and those days I eat more.
  • I eat between 1800-2100 calories/day. I'm exclusively breastfeeding my 17 pound 4 month old. She seems satisfied so I think my supply is good. I'm 5'6"
  • What is Piyo? And what is the cost?
  • If she will eat veggies mixed with fruit, I would continue that but gradually decrease the amount of fruit you mix in. Worth a try!
  • I added in more Vitamin C...I read it should help. I've also traded snacking for walking. If I really want to eat, I go for a walk. If I'm still hungry when I get home, I eat something. What are you using to quit?
  • I hate having guests for more than a few hours. I wish I could love being a hostess but I just don't!
  • I haven't found a routine yet! I have a 14 year old and a 4 month old. I'm a SAHM currently but will be going back nights and weekends soon. I try to get a workout DVD done in the morning but it often gets pushed to the afternoon..or not at all :/ My husband and I do walk together every night with the baby. I keep making…
  • I can fit into my size 8 jeans! Which means I don't have to go shopping. Yay! And I found a drawer of size 6 pants calling my name. They are all too tight to zip BUT I can get them up!
  • I hate days like that. I try to remind myself that my house will just get dirty again even if I clean. I try to do a load of laundry every other day so it doesn't pile up and I empty the dishwasher daily. Those are my only goals house-wise. If I could afford a cleaning lady, I would do it in a heartbeat! I spend a chunk of…
  • I worked out today! I dug out an old workout DVD and huffed and puffed my way through it. New goal is walking daily (weather permitting) and completing a workout DVD 3 times/week.
  • Carb cycling is eating primarily low carb with a day of high carb eating mixed in. The claim is that your body burns more fat when it's in ketosis. It's what they do on the Extreme weight loss reality shows. I couldn't maintain eating that way long term so I've never tried it.
  • I've had good luck with Playtex 18 hour bras. I also like Victoria's Secret but they are so pricy. Depending on your size Lane Bryant has good ones. Make sure you get sized-I wore the wrong size for years! It made a big difference once I got the correct size.
  • Congrats on the new baby! I'm 4.5 months postpartum and 5 pounds below my prepregnancy weight but I have another 20 to lose. I sorted jeans yesterday and found 3 pairs that fit! I also found 6 pairs that don't fit, and 3 of those still have tags. They must have been goal jeans at some point. Apparently I never made it to…
  • Is that similar to carb cycling? I've had friends who carb cycle with good results but I would miss carbs too much. Also, I'm nursing and am too worried about losing my supply to drastically cut anything from my diet. What is the thought behind eating to maintain and then dramatically dropping for 2 days? Wouldn't it be…
  • I'm in! I have a really hard time with this! I'm a mindless snacker while I watch tv. And I'm up 1-2 times a night to feed my 4 month old..I snack at least one of the times I'm up. I easily consume an extra 400 calories that I hardly remember in the morning :s
  • I wish! My family is about 2 hours away and his family is worthless. It will get better..someday she'll sleep and I'll miss all the cuddle time. I just keep repeating that over and over again.
  • I'm exhausted every day. My fiancé and I are currently fighting (again) so he hasn't been home much and our baby has been waking hourly at night. And not napping. I live on Diet Pepsi. I need a break. I want to check into a hotel alone and just sleep for 12 hours with no interruptions.
