  • Being able to pick things up you drop on the first attempt with ease, not almost falling overver and having hot flushes. Actually I don't have hot flushes anymore, and I rased a kid up the stairs at church last Sunday, I can do up shoe laces, 3 months ago I went looking for walking shoes I could just slip on. Oh and I…
  • I haven't seen much talked about the SET WEIGHT for a while. It is something science is aware of but it is not something that is easy to say why about. Set weight is the weight you have been on average over the last 6 months. So when you go too far away from that set weight your body will set off alarms and go into…
  • Just eat healthy. Aim for being fit rather than loosing weight, that is my plan this time, let weight loss be the result not the process. Choose foods that are the most worthy, ie give what the body needs, ones you love the taste of, and allow you the most satisfaction from eating them while knowing the addition of all…
  • Runtastic is a great app you can put on your phone that will help with that, it has a very tiny cost per year. It also calculates elevation, water loss etc
  • Yes please! I am a 51 year old Aussie who talks in kjs, who'd love to join, please forgive me for not always understanding pounds  But I have to close to halve my weight.
  • I have been on the yoyo before, and I understand that famine mode you are talking about where even the table leg looks edible. I have followed everyone else's diets and they do work, but not for the long term unless you design your plan to cover the things that take you off track. I have completed a diploma in weightloss…
  • Most GPs will consider obesity a Chronic Disease, which has a high risk of becoming diabetic, if you are already diabetic then that is absolutely going to qualify. A dietician & an Exercise Physiologist is enough to qualify. I would be extremely concerned if any health practitioner disagreed or any doctor failed to refer,…
  • You just go to the Dr and tell them you would like to lose weight and ask them if you can have a referral to a exercise physiologist who also runs programs at the gym and also ask for a dietician appointment under CDM There is also a Heal program but it is run during business hours and I can't get to that one.

  • Thank's everyone
  • Why don't you eat any salad, vege's, onions, tomatoes etc? Is it a medical reason? If not... There is a cost for everything you choose to eat and not eat, and some tastes do grow on you, it is up to you right now to choose how you want your future to be lived.
  • I use Wii FitPlus, often at home and with my VivoFit counting my steps it is not unusual to find me running around the dinning table and down the hallway to get in those extra steps. Have extended this to work now, the staff are getting use to seeing me run around one of the rooms to build up steps, I call it taking…
  • OK if I said to you. If you save the same every day for the next 5 days you'd have $20, then the next day said to you, if you save the same every day for the next 5 days you'd have $10 and every day you had a figure falling between those two. I guarantee you no matter what you will have saved a minimum of $10. Same…
  • I craycray, I'm new too, although I've got to loose twice as much as you. 5.4kgs off so far and feeling good. I'm using Vivofit to track walking and this site as well. I don't have friends on hear yet and not sure how that part works yet either, would love to be that added motivation. Trish
  • I think that it can be a bit more reliable than that, so long as you have entered the right figures. For example, if it says "... you would weigh 90kgs in 5 weeks" one day, the next day 95kgs and every day ranged between these two weights, I think you should be safe to expect that you should reach at least 95kgs in 5 weeks…
  • I'm here in Sydney too :) Recently moved to Campbelltown SW Sydney so if anyone in that area let me know, or if you work near me in Botany; I am new and don't have any friends yet :(
