well it's not something you would heat up but I like the "low carb cereal" idea from Lynn Terry...she mixes .5 cup of pecans (2 ounces) with .25 cups of Daisy brand full fat cottage cheese. (she adds a couple chopped berries but I don't find that necessary) you might like it too...quick, easy and very filling. Best of Luck…

I like Let's Do Organic coconut flakes...a serving has 2 net grams of carbs but also 10 grams of coconut oil in a tasty snack. you might like to try that, they are great lightly toasted, in extra coconut oil of course.

Quest nutrition does make several "flavors" of protein chips...I tried one....once. nothing about them really tempted a repeat of that adventure but I do see folks eating them from time to time...so I guess I could be the odd one out. I see them at GNC in case you want to try them out.

some of the best advice I've had is simply to stick to real, basic foods that you enjoy and which meet the lchf way of eating and plan a few meals around those items that you will enjoy eating often. that takes away a lot of the angst of planning and cooking unfamiliar foods. Kudos to you! any change can be unsettling at…

I also encourage you to try olives! the really bright green ones called castelvetrano are especially light and buttery tasting, one drawback they are a bit pricey.…

got this idea from Lynn Terry, aka the "low carb traveler"... I eat 2 ounces of pecans and 1/4 cup of full fat cottage cheese. one of those sounds weird/tastes good kinda things. I usually wait till lunch time to eat and it keeps me full for a long time and I really like it.

20 or less net carbs per day is my goal...I usually do ok ...most of my carbs come from vegetables. haven't been doing this that long and still kinda finding my way around but eating naturally low carb food simply prepared seems to be working for me.

I found on you tube some videos made by "Butter Bob Briggs". the one that really got my attention was titled "why fat people get hungry". NOT calling you or your husband fat! but it might resonate with him like it did me.

recently starting doing every other day with 500 calories and wondered if anyone here has had success with it as opposed to a specific window of eating each day. thanks for responding.

I had a ton of company over the holidays and was constantly serving food.... snacks, appetizers, meals, and desserts. of course I fell into the habit of having some of those things myself and after all the guests left I found I still wanted to indulge in those new habits. I gained 8 pounds and I was very depressed. I…
