  • Day Five: Starting Weight: 149.5lbs Current Weight: 147.2lbs Hmm, those pesky pounds don't want to shift! I'm not going to let it get to me, onwards and upwards and all that. Today I'm not planning on going to the gym, just lots of walking around the zoo, and lots of drinking water so maybe tomorrow will be the day when I…
  • Another day completed and it was another successful one. I did half an hour at the gym this morning, ( 10 mins on each of treadmill, cross trainer and bike). Then I did the abs class using a 4kg kettlebell, I used the 6kg last week but it was too much for me just on abs. I dropped the kids at the fair this afternoon and…
  • Day Four: Starting Weight: 149.lbs Current Weight: 147.5lbs So my weight has gone up by 0.25lbs this morning, I've been doing mfp long enough now though to not let it worry me and history tells me that I should get a whoosh soon and it will drop. I know that I am logging properly and doing enough movement to burn tonnes of…
  • I know Jemhh, perhaps it is a bit too much to do but hopefully I'll be there or thereabouts  My logic on it was I have a whole month off work which lets me focus on my fitness / weight goals in a way that I can't the rest of the year. Like I said I have maintained for a month or so and struggled to stick to my…
  • Third day completed! I took my Mum to the supermarket and we both did our shopping, then I took the dog for a nice walk in the park and along the cliff top at the beach. The deep cleaning hasn't started yet although I did buy rubber gloves  I went to the gym and did 20 mins jogging, 20 mins cross-trainer & 15 mins…
  • Day Three: Starting Weight: 149.5lbs Current Weight: 147.25lbs Had a rubbish sleep last night, the dog had tummy ache all night and wouldn't settle, so I reckon I got about 3 hours uninterrupted sleep and now feel like I've been hit by a truck. Needless to say the dog is now fast asleep. Today I need to do the food…
  • Thank you all for the support, feel free to join in too if you like  Today has been another good day, the weather here has been lovely. I had quite a lazy morning, took the dog for a walk then my brother came over. After that I went to the gym with my son and I did 1 minutes on the bike, 5 minutes on the handbike,…
  • Day Two: Starting weight: 149.5lbs Current weight: 147.5lbs Morning! Two lbs gone which is a great start! The sun is shining here again today, I've woken up quite early but am having a lazy lie-in with the laptop. At the moment there's not much planned for today, other than seeing some family members this afternoon, which…
  • Well its been a great day - I went to the gym and did 55 minutes cardio; 20 mins on the bike, 20 mins on the elliptical, 10 mins treadmill and 5 mins on the wave machine (a bit like roller blading movement). Then I did kettlercise which was a killer today, probably because I'd done cardio first in the gym. After lunch we…
  • Before pictures ...
  • £37 a month (lifetime amount, never increases), here in the UK. This is a local council run leisure centre, it includes gym, classes and swimming. For me its worth every penny, it works out at less than £10 a week which many people spend on a bottle of wine without blinking.
  • Day one :) So I weighed myself as soon as I got up and the scales said 149.5lbs :o I know this is fair as I have been out for dinner for the last two nights (early birthday treats). So, that makes my goal 10.5lbs to lose this month. I know its achievable and I am excited about doing this. My boyfriend is going to take my…
  • Another 1.5 miles done, ankle seems to be holding up so far, making 14.3 / 35 miles for the month so far.
  • My ankle has been playing up (different one to last time) so I have rested it completely for 10 days. I've been itching to go out again and today did a tentative one mile and it seems to be okay, so hopefully I can begin building on it again slowly now. That does mean I will miss this months target again, but hopefully…
  • My other half decided he wanted to join me on a run, I wasn't planning on going tonight but its a rare event for him to want to come so we went and did my 2.5k route. I beat my time for the third time this week, bringing it down to 13.18 this time  [img][/img]
  • Got up early, feeling guilty as I ate way over my allowed calories yesterday, anyway I have done a run before work which is quite unheard of for me so am feeling slightly better. I managed to beat my time again, (13.34 for 2.5k), gradually getting nearer to the next half minute goal. My ankle is feeling a bit niggly now so…
  • Went and did 2.5k tonight, beat my best time on that route by 10 seconds, I knew I would tonight it just felt right when I was running, I like those kinda runs  [img][/img]
  • Did 1.5 miles on the treadmill tonight before kettlebell class, another bit ticked off the target  [img][/img]
  • I'm really chuffed this morning, went and did my 5k run and for the first time I managed not to walk any of it  I did only beat last weeks time by one second, and that included several walking bits, so next time I need to walk I won't feel so bad about it, but more than the time this was about me proving to myself…
  • 1.5 miles done this morning, I went early and already its getting pretty warm out there  [img][/img]
  • Only 1.1 tonight but I guess it's a start. I just felt like lead, I did kettlebells yesterday and some cycling earlier so maybe it just wasn't meant to be a running day today. Still, I'm off the mark for the month  [img][/img]
  • I'm in for 35 miles for July, I failed miserably in June due to a dodgy ankle, but hopefully can get back on track this month  [img][/img]
  • Another 3 miles done, am not going to even get close for the month but hey, July may be better :) [img][/img]
  • Not sure if I've posted on this thread before, here are my pictures; 175lbs - 147lbs
  • Here in the UK semi-skimmed has green lids on the bottles, skimmed has red, full fat has blue
  • Stevia in my coffee instead of sugar, decaff coffee, lindt chocolate with caramel and sea salt rather than Cadbury.
  • Woohoo 5km done this morning, its the first time I've done it for a while due to my ankle and I finally managed to get a sub 30 minutes time (29:34) It was tough out there as I haven't done it for a while and its really muggy this morning, I had to walk several times in the last km so I'm really chuffed to have…
  • The ankle has been playing up again so have rested it for a few more days. Did a run tonight and it feels fine. Hopefully I can get back to regular runs again. [img][/img]
  • I'm 5 foot 5 :)
  • So after setting myself a target of 25 miles for June by ankle decided not to play ball. I have been resting it and today managed my first short run and the ankle feels fine. 1.5 miles done, 23.5 to go this month, better start catching you all up! [img][/img]
