Sorry - I meant to say "You *don't* have to remember how it starts," kind of an important word to miss! :)

You have to remember how it starts. The search will look for the letter combination anywhere in the name, so if you search for "cinn" it will find "cinnamon bread" and "apple cinnamon" (if you have those 2 things in your my foods list). If you haven't entered anything with "cinn" in it, it will tell you that, too.

I was hungry all the time whether I was eating whatever I wanted or not. So I try to remember that I'd rather be hungry and losing/maintaining than hungry and gaining. I also plan a lot of snacks throughout the day so I don't go too long without eating something.

Headstand! I used to do them all the time when I was a kid, and was so excited to be able to do them again as an adult. I even did a braggy one at Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park last month. :)

Hello! 1200 is the bare minimum number of calories you should eat, and that's before adding calories for intentional exercise. What are your stats? (height, weight, age) How are you measuring your food? You should use a food scale and weight it in grams, or you may be eating more than you think.

Discovering diet ginger ale (Canada Dry) changed my life. With or without rum. :)

I also attended many galas this weekend. I did not see you there.

You will likely not get a lot of support for that way of eating here. It's unnecessarily restrictive. Three weeks isn't a plateau, it's just part of the pattern of weight loss. What are your stats? Do you weigh all of your food in grams with a food scale and log it accurately?

There's a "My Personal Foods" section/option on the desktop version. I'm not sure how to use it on the app version.

Do you need help with something specific?

I used to have this game on my phone with a fish tank, and you had to "feed" the fish every few hours, clean the tank, etc., or they'd die. If you kept them alive, you'd get rewards for more fish that needed to be cared for, and so on. I kept many virtual fish alive for an embarrassingly long time. This takes way less time…

Eight pounds in 30 days isn't realistic at this point. You don't have that much to lose and should only be aiming for about half a pound a week. Start weighing your food, do it consistently, and the weight will come off eventually. Eating small amounts of "healthy" food throughout the day is great if that helps you stay in…

What the above posters said. And don't let your age hold you back. I'm 46, 5'2.5", and went from 182 to 133 in the last couple of years. The first 40 pounds in 2017, the next 10 in 2018. The closer you are to goal, the slower it goes. But it will go if you stick with it!

Hi and welcome! Awesome that you're ready to get started! Have you been exercising before now? Because honestly that sounds like a lot and I'm tired just reading it. :) You don't want to set huge expectations for yourself then get discouraged if you can't do it. It's good and okay to start small. Do you have a food scale?…

There are a lot of free videos on YouTube, depends on what kind of exercise you're looking for.
-
The pictures just came up. Go by the info on the nutrition label. If you search in the database instead of using the bar code scanner, you might find a more accurate match.
-
What's the product? Info that comes up when you use the bar code scanner is entered by users and may not be accurate.

Great way to send off the WOO!!!

Carbs stole my car and slept with my man! JK - we're besties!

You don't need a body scan, and you aren't gaining muscle in any significant amount while you're in a deficit. You need a food scale if you aren't using one already, and patience. This is a lifelong marathon, not a 2-week sprint.

Hello! We can't really control where our body loses weight, and for many people the stomach area is the last to lose it. That's not a disaster, that's nature. If you're at a healthy/comfortable weight, you could try a recomp:…
