So true and motivating, thanks for sharing.

I just grind up some flavored coffee beans (hazelnut), add splenda, and 1 tbsp of half and half - 20 calories

A giant burger with loads of cheddar cheese, crispy bacon - lots of bacon, aioli, on a salty pretzel roll with a side of beer battered onion rings dunked in ranch dressing and a chocolate milkshake !! I may have just drooled a little on my keyboard :D

Congratulations, you look amazing!! Please share tips for success.

I haven't tried the All bran buds, just googled and they look like grape nuts which are great in yogurt for some crunch.

So what are some good leaner protein snacks for around 100 calories ? I always have in the house some laughing cow cheese, pistachios, almonds, peppers/dip, fruit, or a slice of lite bread with peanut butter, popcorn (air popped), protein bars (cut in half - 100 cal). My sour cream dip is only 45 calories for 2 Tbsp.

I'm super picky especially with vegetables but I always like to try new ones, I am not fond of bitter or earthy (broccoli, mushrooms, even celery is bitter to me). I do like having sliced up peppers for salads and snacks, I make ranch dip with lite sour cream and hidden valley seasoning. I am hungriest at dinner time, not…

When I stick to my calories I lose 1/2 to 1 pound a week. I haven't really paid much attention to fiber, maybe I'll try to add more and see if it helps. I just bought some protein bars but they are 200 calories each, I usually cut it in half for a 100 snack after dinner.

Surprisingly my macros are always on target. I am 51 years old and have been up and down with weight the past 25 years. I know hunger vs boredom, some days I'm fine, other days I'm hungry and irritable and need to find a way to cope without throwing in the towel and undoing a week worth of effort in one sitting.

I would most likely eat my shoe after day 1. I would eat the carrot, if you said mushroom or broccoli I would starve to death.

I have 60-70 pounds to lose. I also have a huge appetite and a picky palate. I struggle with veggies, I only really like a limited few and I try to incorporate them in daily but I will never be the person who would sit down with a giant plate of brocolli(vile weed-Seinfeld fans). Eating 1 small and 2 larger meals seems to…

LOL - your non food related activities made me chuckle, I am always running around cleaning something to take my mind off the hunger - you could eat off my floors! It's not easy figuring out the combo of factors, I can repeat the exact same thing another day and it doesn't have the same outcome.

I wish I could say I never went hungry while losing but I feel it when there's a calorie deficit, even a small one. I have tried so many different things with meal timing, snacks, biggest meal in the morning vs at dinner, high protein, low carb. Some days I just can't seem to curb the hunger and unfortunately that is my…

some great advice, thank you. I need to get my head in the game and keep it there.

WOW - lots of great info and encouragement, thank you. Funny thing is I am generally a positive and grateful person in most aspects of my life, except weight loss. This has been a very long time struggle for me, at least 25 years of the rollercoaster up and down. I can do it temporarily but I struggle to make it stick for…

I do eat my exercise calories but I am a very picky eater with a giant appetite so I realize that's a hindrance. We enjoy going on weekend adventures and being spontaneous, we are on the go and part of the fun is seeing new places and grabbing some food out, and I am not a fan of salads. I love baking sweets but can't…

Continuing the bad habits seems to be easier, but losing the weight will be more rewarding.

Very inspiring, thank you for the push :)

yuck, I was hoping the baked chip form would make it taste better, it doesn't :s
-
trying to start the day with positive thoughts - I can do this, right ?

This is so simple yet so helpful

I'll have to get my hands on this book.

so no restrictions, flexibility, and I can still whine :) so much good info here, I love it.

I do need to work on more specific goals and motivators, I know that about myself. And I have played around with meal timing and macros, I make notes on the days that I felt satisfied so I can recreate those but what works one day for me doesn't always work the next. It's funny you used the word "rebelling", I have…

I do have motivators, health and personal ones, unfortunately they get tossed to the side and I revert back to old ways. Maybe I need to come up with something more fun and interesting to keep me going.

I am in the same boat and totally understand what you are saying. How can something so simple in theory be so difficult to do? It's an awful cycle - you decide you can do this, you count your calories, success for 3 or 4 or even 5 days, lose motivation, back to old habits, repeat over and over and over again. For me, I…

I'm 5ft and similar weight as you, I would be very happy in the 138-145 range.

All day every day. I dream about crispy delicious bacon 😋
