I did see myself in your story and it does help to know I wasn't only "stupid" person to try pills and teas and god knows what else. I'm certain I can do it now because of people like you who come and share their stories and it gives us all hope! Hoping to post my success story in the near future

I can't do HIIT due to knee injury that happened quite some time ago. I do interval training (a form of HIIT) on elliptical machine and it's amazing! I'm planning to try Pilates but still a bit shy to go to class on my own. I'm going to give myself a month or so before I ask a PT for some help devising my workouts.

Hi, Iv tried low carb (less than 80g a day) and whilst it works for some, didn't really work for me. I stay under 150g a day (moderate carb intake I believe) and have 100g protein and 75g fat (never hit fat, always under). With PCOS it's most important where your carbs come from not how many you eat (although it's…

Hi, I don't know what your starting weight is but Iv managed to get to 9.7kg in 3 months doing calorie counting. I started at 108kg and now down to 98.3 didn't do much exercise just maybe 1-2 times a week at the gym. I have set myself as sedentary on MFP and put 0,5kg goal which gave me 1700-1800cal and now it's 1600. I…

I am at the same weight you were so seeing your weight loss is inspirational! Thank you!

Well done!

Hi! Try by logging your food every single day and even if you go over calories, don't fret just learn to do better next time. I used to be one of those people who would be very good first month or so then have a bad day that would turn into bad week(s) and I'd fall off the wagon and said "sod it" and would gain weight and…

Congratulations! It's amazing to see such a great transformation!

Thanks that's an interesting point. I was wondering if I should try keto strips to test to see at which amount of carbs id be in ketosis, maybe doesn't have to be 20g. Otherwise Iv no idea if I'm in ketosis doing 50g or even 80g as they say we are all different. So I suppose unless I test I won't know, right? I've done…

I've got PCOS and I'm also insulin resistant. As of Monday this week I lowered my carbs and upped my fat. Not sure if I'll be able to get into ketosis any time soon but set my macros to 20% carbs, 25% protein, 55% fat. I'll see how it goes and then maybe lower carbs even more if needed. It's the only thing that seems to…

Over the past few days carb would come from veg and fruit, dairy. I haven't had any bread or pasta or rice. I tried to lower my fruit intake (big fruit lover here!) and eat berries etc they are low in carbs.

I set my macros to 20% carbs, 25% protein and 55% fat to start with and see how it goes. Need to wrap my brain-washed head around the idea that full fat is good and satisfying and won't cause weight gain and will go from there. Will do some shopping tonight and I'm actually looking forward to buy full fat yogurt, avocados…

I work for a spa in a hotel and get a free access to gym/pool so I won't lose it, but I'll try to be more organised and go more often. Iv noticed that I'm so hungry after a gym session and I start craving carbs like my life depends on it. That put me off gym a little. I tend to exercise in the evening after work and then…

Thanks for advice Tara. Iv been reading lots on this matter and yes I think my protein might be too high. I'm going to try and swap it for fat. For years Iv been told to cut fat out and eat fat free foods that it's still somehow embedded in my brain. What do you think a good amount of protein would be like in terms of…

Raspberries and Fage Greek yogurt or watermelon - lovely feeling snacks and low cal :-)

Hi, I have PCOS and I've noticed that lowering carbs helps me. I'm doing carb cycling at the moment: low day (70-80g) and moderate day (120-140g) and weight is coming off. It's a bit of an adjustment especially if you love carbs (I do!) but certainly is helpful.
