  • One thing one thing one thing Water Carrots (better snacking) Yep. I can do this. One thing at a time. No stress. Will update. Thank you all and have an awesome weekend.
  • Feeling super fat and frumpy. Clothes don’t fit but I’ve lost all motivation to get going and even if I do manage something I can’t stay consistent, so no results… leads me to over eat. And over eating is just something I do every day, especially at night.
  • If something "goes without saying," why do people still say it?
  • Tomorrow I am going to - eat my meals on time - drink plenty of water - especially if I feel like having a snack - stop eating at 9pm (usually 8pm but it’s FriYay!)
  • When I cut out alcohol I snack a lot less. over any Xmas I was drinking prosseco wine and beer and I swear it was the snacks I was consuming more of that led to weight gain. Then the next day I feel pretty in need of a hearty and not so healthy breakfast which would lead to some sort of calorie rich lunch and by dinner I…
  • This sounds like fun. I tried it years ago when I used to teach dance I would use it to help my class loosen up. I can’t say I built it into all my workouts though - but the movement you make is used in dance and dance for sure helped me tone and lose inches around my belly. Thanks for reminding me about this. I’m going to…
  • @AnnPT77 100% you’ve definitely challenged my thought process on my personal “age” related comment. Which was, in no way directed at anyone else, be they in there 20s or 60s. I will definitely challenge myself to look at this from a perspective that allows me to not limit myself just because of my age. I wonder if at the…
  • It took time to gain the weight and it will take the same time, if not more to lose it FOR GOOD. Sure, you can do crazy things to lose it for a short while - but if habits are not sustainable then your weight loss will not be sustainable. Change your habits, be in a calorie deficit everyday and if you hate working out then…
  • Firstly hugs. I don’t think this type of binge eating is given enough thought because it doesn’t come with anything else like purging or strict deficit / fasting. Maybe some people assume that “we’ll you’re just over eating” just stop right? So here’s a few tips on what I think might help you and by jog being here you’ve…

  • @Lietchi I felt pretty knackered this morning upon waking, and that’s with 3 days of spinning under my belt, I’m glad you reminded me once again that calorie deficit is key, and there are days when I’m tired I can just choose to be in a deficit that gives me energy and keeps me going but that I will still lose weight from.…
  • It’s a plateau - stay with it. Just tweak a few things, like eating more protein and maybe weighing foods again, just to be certain. Also take a couple of days off working out and go for long walks instead. Good luck on the last few pounds - so exciting.
  • It would be too hard to tell you without more info. It would be very much based upon your weight height and definitely how hard the intensity was. Also some bikes do not ask for all this additional Info - mine doesn’t. So as example on my bike, if I did a pretty medium Intensity for 25mins and I would burn about 160kcals.
  • When I stopped eating at 8 PM and only started eating min 12 hours later (not earlier). And eating meals at the right time of the day to keep from getting too hungry/full
  • Growing up our heater only went on when it was really needed - jumpers socks hot water bottles lol For my own home definitely keeping it toasty but have to say it’s easier as it’s the underfloor heating that literally warms up the entire downstairs and also I have a few oil heaters in rooms connected to plugs that I can…
  • Opt for Wholefoods Low GI foods Loads more veg and salads Eats nuts (natural unsalted are best - if I can’t find any that aren’t salted then I wash them - idea for you) Eat more sweet potato - bake it, make chips / wedges / smash it - it’s so good for diabetics as ur does not raise blood sugar and it really is sweet!! Yum…
  • A long walk and 30mins spinning session :)
  • Guys, thanks so much for all this info. All of you have given me so much food for thought, I really knew in the pit of my stomach that 2lb was too much per week, and yes - I naturally too get more hungry after a workout as couldn’t imagine eating 1200kcals only on days I’m burning 300-500kcals. I’ve decided to keep it at…
  • @ToffeeApple71 awesome, I did look at the Garmin too, they have lots of nice designs too. I guess I’ve always been quite oldskool about what I wear as a watch. It’s always been analogue and also to stay away from digital as I find it gets too much to be connected all the time! However, I can see these watches have more to…
  • @springlering62 I’m sold! Haha No, seriously thank you for this. You have given me a lot of positives which I needed to hear, that are not solely based on steps and heart rate / there’s so much more to offer. Thanks again
  • Thanks for your help! I’ve had to remove my watch calculations for now, I gave up trying to figure it out!!!!!
  • You already took the first step - realisation that you would benefit from doing something about it! Congratulations - I’d say that’s the hardest step for most. And now accountability by telling us here. YOU CAN DO IT!
  • Washing machine
  • Slim bagel, beyond meat vegan sausage and a big cup of tea (much needed!)
  • I’m so interested to learn where this is? I’m really interested in blogging (anonymously!)
  • I’m back and this time more ready than ever. A bunch of reasons - health, energy but also because I want to take care of myself and feel Good about myself. It’s not for anyone or for any event, it’s liberating when you decide to lose weight just for yourself! I have about 40lbs to lose
  • Your past does not define your future / and that goes for your childhood and the way you were raised. You have a choice about what you keep and what you don’t and how you let it affect you. My advice is that if your past is affecting you now - see a therapist or talk to someone you can trust. Get it off your chest. Deal…
  • Hey!! I’m in for this. I’m very intrigued how you will do this too!! I am 173lbs Happy to start now as the last resolution I’m setting is “lose weight” haha!
  • I recently had a sleep coach help me as I’ve suffered with bouts of insomnia my entire life. I think my cortisol levels are out of whack but that’s something I haven’t tested as yet - you might want to research into getting this tested. The sleep coach designed a 6 week course. Initially she focussed on limiting sleep -…
  • Thanks for everyone’s responses. It’s literally food for thought (the zero calorific kind!!!) I had what right now feels like another good day. I will be going back and and forth reading this and putting this information into practice. Reminding myself along the way - it’s the journey. There is no rush. We learn at…
  • @callsitlikeiseeit This is really reminding again - why rush? It’s a lifetime journey. I need to read through this quite a few times as it’s very detailed and there’s a lot I can keep referring to throughout this journey.
