You're doing amazing! Wow! Stalls suck for sure, I'm in one now too, but your results are stellar! It's SO understandable to feel down, but those nagging thoughts that make us feel down can't stand up to the truth that your pictures speak! Great job!!!

Thank you for saying this. I too have been able to tolerate more protein and liquids (not at the same time of course), than most and was thinking that there must be something not right with my sleeve...yet I'm losing weight just fine. This makes me feel better. Thanks for sharing. I've also had no problems tolerating any…

I'm 6wks out on Monday and eat between 900-1100 day. I'm 30lbs down from surgery and 38lbs down since 2wk pre op diet. I seem to be steadily losing without any long periods of stall. I'm also 5'10" and other than chasing 4 little ones around all day I haven't started any major exercise. I also drink 4-24oz bottles of water…

You look positively glowing and so happy! Congrats on staying the course!

I'm a month out and I have no problem eating 4oz but even a bite more and I'm horribly uncomfortable. I'm also 5'10" and I wondered if height might make a difference. I also have no problems drinking 24oz of water in about 30min and have never felt the restriction when it comes to liquids, other than thick frothy protein…

I have chosen not to share my private medical history with others not close to me. If someone asks, I just tell them high protein and low carb, restricted calories and exercise.

I definitely felt hungry right around the same time as you are now. But at day 7 I was allowed to go to full liquids which included cream soups which helped with the hunger. I was also drinking protein shakes as per my surgeon's program. I'm not sure what to advice, it was tough for several days there but the protein…

I was sleeved 1/19/15 a little over a week after you! I'll add you!
-
Haha! You crack me up!!
-
I didn't think of that....could be! Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for your responses. That makes me feel so much better knowing it's normal and to be expected. My largest cuts are to the right but I have two smaller ones to the left of my belly button. Today is a bit better but still a deep internal ache, but bearable. I just need to really watch my movements because just when…

Thank you both for your response. I think you're both right. I was worried I popped a staple but I felt fine other than the throbbing and I could eat fine too. So I figured it had to be something else. I feel better after reading your experiences. I'll call my dr if it doesn't get better soon. Oh and sorry about…

Thank you asia1967  it's good to know it's normal and I'm not alone.

I was on 20mg of prilosec once a day. I am definitely going to consult my PCP on this matter as soon as I can. Thanks for the suggestions. I may give zantac a try because I have also felt that same ravenous feeling.

Randy thank you. That makes total sense. I agree about the dr having poor bedside manner and blowing it off of he doesn't know what's going on. Maybe I'll try a different acid reducer. I drank some baking soda water (that's what I did when pregnant) and it helped so much more than the prilosec had been helping. I told my…

I'm surprised too. He's the only dr in the area. I believe the next closest dr would be 3-4hrs away. I've got an excellent general medical dr and I'm going to be working closely with him during this process, and I think I'll get some great support through him. He's worked with many WLS patients. I'll figure this out and…

Yup!

I'm so glad I found this site! Everyone is so helpful!

I think I'll try this... Thank you for sharing!

That's exactly how I feel, but it even walked me up out of a dead sleep dry heaving.

So my doctor said he doesn't know what's causing the sick stomach and to stop taking the prilosec because it isn't working. He said there's nothing else he can do for me and gave me no information on why it's happening or what I should do to help. He is skilled and did a good job on the surgery but his support post op has…

That makes sense. I think I'll need to do that. Set a timer and remind myself to eat before I start feeling sick. I'll bring it up to my Dr tomorrow and see what he says. Thank you for sharing
-
Yea! Good luck! You're going to love your sleeve!
-
I will do that. I see my surgeon on Tuesday, I'll mention it. Thank you!

I caught that slam too. I totally agree with you. The show is more extreme than WLS surgery and less sustainable in real life. I've never been a fan of the show, but I watched the finale even though I didn't watch season. Never again

I am only 9 or 10 days post op and I can drink normally. I haven't noticed a problem with drinking at all, although I haven't attempted chugging. Now, my protein shake on the other hand, that's another story. I have to take it slow with the shakes, but water goes down just the way it always did.

Hi! I'm new here as well! I was sleeved a week and a half ago. I'm really loving this group. There are so many well informed and friendly people here! I think you'll find the support you're looking for to get the pounds off!
-
Ooooo deviled eggs sound so good right about now!! Yummmmm! Thanks for introducing yourselves! I "friended" you both!
-
This is awesome! You're doing an amazing job!

Thank you! Good luck on your surgery! I'll definitely add you! Hoping you have a quick and easy recovery!
