Yes I do. But when I do, my weight goes up a few pounds. Never 5lbs, that's why I was shocked to see the scale! I've come to the conclusion of lowering my calories and making workouts a first priority. I did lose a pound this week :)

No ignorance at all. Lol. Yes I know Indian food can be very heavy but have completely cut out "ghee". Ghee doesn't exist in my vocab when it comes to food. I use minimal oil and usually cooking with chicken breast. As for rice and roti it's either one or the other and they are both made the healthiest way possible. Thank…

I lose weight one week but then gain the next week. It's not like I'm not seeing any weight loss at all. It's just that weight comes off but then comes right back on. That's where I'm struggling.

Makes perfect sense. I know exactly what your talking about. That is indeed very helpful. This will def come in handy for my dinners when I have Indian food.

Your absolutely right, the first pounds do come off the easiest. I'm just REALLY trying to find out what works best for me. I'm eagerly trying to figure out what exactly my body needs to see weight loss again.

Thank you very much! I do have a lot to lose I will start with cardio for now and when ready go right in to weight training! I do love weight training but numerous people have told me to hold off on that till I have lost a good portion of weight. I've been going by that... Thinking I may need to reevaluate things.…

I lost 20lbs before January. Since January I have only seen a 4lb diffence.

I was actually thinking about that the other day. Do I need to do that manually? Or does MFP do that automatically? And I wasn't sure if I had lost enough for it to reduce.

I do not weigh my food. I am Indian and we eat a lot of Indian food which makes it extremely hard to calculate and log. In those cases I try to log more calories than less. I do not eat out a lot. I try to keep that to once a week and I will eat something that I know exactly what's in it and how many calories. I weigh…

Well said. You are absolutely right. Those feelings are great. Was at work the other day and went up 2 flights of stairs and was NOT out of breath. Two months ago I was huffing and puffing. But I try to only weigh myself once a week. Otherwise it drives you crazy and discourages you. It happens to me all the time, but…

Maybe you can try talking to your school counselor?

Hey all, in the same boat. It is indeed hard but so rewarding! I've lost 20lbs since October and when people started noticing that feeling you get is even more motivational! I take it in small steps though... Don't try to lose 100lbs but try to lose 10lbs and then another. Hope that helps. Feel free to add :)

Hi :) Wow you guys are great! Been doing MFP since mid November and down 20lbs. It's been really hard though. But I'm happy with any results I get. I hope I don't go too overboard on food cuz of the Super Bowl. Anyone have any healthy snack ideas? Do share.

Hey all, my diary is pretty consistent. I'm not perfect so I do have my days when I do splurge and go over but I go right back on track. I really do try to limit those days and meals. And I make sure I am eating correctly and not eating too much fat or sugar and carbs etc. As for my workout I try my best to work out... I…
