I don't pay for a gym. The distributors offer a free fitness club to all of the Herbalife customers, so at the minimum of buying one shake a month its similar to a gym membership, i used to pay $60 a month at another place to workout. I know people on mfp generally do not like Herbalife. The way i see it, many people use some sort of multivitamin, protein bars, meal shakes, or other supplements. Personally I think slim fast shakes are worse than Herbalife. But if that's what it takes for me (or you or them) to cut calories then why is that a bad thing?…

I don't know what the best is, but stay away from slim fast! After buying their so called protein shake, I realized it was 10g protein when made with milk! Only 2g without milk. I make my shakes with water and ice. I could add milk to a bag of sand and call that a protein shake! Also its high in sugar.

I'm 5.7 and 230 lbs and I eat 2400 a day and lose weight. If I just want to stay the same weight I could eat 2900 calories a day. If I exercise for an hour and burn 500 then I'm allowed to eat the 2900 a day and still lose. Does that make sense? You are a guy same height as me and a few lbs more so there's no way that 1920…

Yes I've had that happen, both the hands feeling swollen and the itchy legs. Doesn't happen when I go to fitclass, just when brisk walking/ jogging! Weird.

It sounds like you are getting enough exercise. If you're thinking of skipping the gym- think of it like work. As in, you HAVE to go to work 5 days a week, right? You can only miss work for a very good reason! And Just keep plugging away with the calorie counting.

For me I have to restrict what I actually bring into the house. I'll eat a whole big bag of chips. So I had to just stop buying chips. Now instead if buying and eating about 3 or 4 bags of chips a week ill have maybe 2 a month. Still eat them all but way less often.

Recently I'm finding that Mfp is reducing the calorie burn for the exact same exercise I do each week. Why is it less calories burned than it was 2 weeks ago? Exact same input.

Shakes or smoothies. Protein powder, Ice, water, and a banana or berries. Although i dont like using blueberries in mine, they always seem to remain chunky with the skins all clumping up at the top. The worst things about getting fit and healthy? Ok definitely portion control. Still feeling hungry after eating. Even being hungry after going way over my limits some days. And also how slow it takes to get results. But those tiny results are keeping me motivated! And I have a lot to look forward to as I make progress.
