^ :'( Yes, I feel like that sometimes. It helps to think about long term progress. Even if you don't get results right away, if you keep working at it, you will at least get a little better. Hang in there.

Yeah my belly will never be the same. But I am going to follow the example of all the awesome ladies who lift. They tend to have good results.

I have lost weight really slowly since having our second child. Over the past three years, the weight comes off a little bit each month. My husband just started eating less in the past six weeks or so. Sometimes the better half just needs time.

Looking cute!

No one can imitate Chuck Norris. :| You look good, though.

Yay, good job.

Good job! And the awesome flag-shorts make up for the 49-ers shirt :p

I got the happy scale app, and it breaks down my goal weight into ten chunks. I'm working on the second chunk.

I lost 20 lbs on dp. Only noticeable side effects were oily skin and hair loss. Actually the hair loss prompted me to stop taking it.

Starting weight 5'7" + 212 = 18

Second the ovarian cyst suggestion. Go see a gyno or nurse practitioner.

When I was training for bike rides, it was really hard to lose weight. Not only was I feeling hungry, but my body performed less well athletically if I didn't eat enough to maintain body mass. I ate pretty much all my exercise calories back, and only lost about 4 pounds in 4 months. When I was done training for the long…

I had surgery on my legs at age 12 and became immobile for about 12 weeks. That plus puberty made for a high-fat body composition, although not necessarily overweight. So stupid adolescent me went on a starvation diet to get it off. BAD decision. I think I missed out on 2 or 3 inches of height growth as a result. Anyway, I…

5'7" and I look and feel good at 135. I was 135 for most of middle school and high school (stopped gaining height around age 12). Gained in college but got back down to 135 after. Then gained through two pregnancies and my postpartum starting weight was 212. Now at 175. Am going to get to healthy BMI (159) for sure, then…

Love the title of your post. You look beautiful. Congrats on the loss and the upcoming nuptials.

So funny and awesome :D

If you mess up one day, do better the next. Ask yourself, do you want to reach your goal, or not? Basically, don't stop.
-
Good job -- you look happy in the "during" photo.

You aren't alone and you're doing really well.

I had the same problem with pop. I started cutting back by allowing myself only one can a day. Now I just don't crave it like I used to. I drink it maybe 3 times a week. Good luck with your sugar elimination. Take some medication for the headaches as soon as you feel them setting in.

Maybe you are eating more salt in your protein source?

Books are stacking up more quickly than I can read them. God bless the Friends of the Library book sale.

The only reason I'm overweight is because I stress eat. No problems feeling hungry, or not understanding nutrition. Just stress --> food in mouth.
-
Vent away!!! Glad you are feeling better.

My friend's son is a picky eater. She made a deal with him that he had to try ten new foods -- one new food a day for ten days -- then he could get a reward. Try one new fruit or vegetable a day. Then you are adding something nutritious, instead of taking away the food he likes. The goal is to evolve his taste in food.…

It is normal to feel emotionally troubled after having a baby. You are sleep deprived, hormone roller coastery, and stressed about doing everything right. Don't feel like you have to do the mom thing perfectly. If you need to set baby down while you take a shower, and baby cries for a few minutes, it's ok. If you just feel…

If she's the biggest model CK has worked with... Instead of her finding that to be intimidating... Shouldn't all the other models be intimidated by her? She could be Modzilla. Giant normal-BMI model crushes all the set props with stiletto heels.

Your post really resonated with me. Everything seems to go downhill at once. It seems overwhelming sometimes, impossible to get started. But then you start fixing one thing, and the other things follow. The important thing to remember is to take that first step, do the one little thing. Good luck to you!

Good job!

You look great!
