OMG Thaeda you MUST write a book about WLS and dieting etc. Every word out of your mouth just resonates with me on such a deep level. Such a fantastic post. The reality for me is I might always have to track every morsel of food I put in my trap. But what if I didn't? What if I could get to that peaceful phase of…

Happy Belated Birthday to you!!!

I wish I was 100 lbs gone! I'm only 86 lbs gone. When I posted "I'm in wonderland now" I was referring to finally weighing in the 100s vs 200s. Although I'm not too far away from achieving both milestones. Thanks for the support!

I am almost exactly in same spot as you...9 months post op and 35 lbs away from goal and feel like I'm slacking. Thanks for posting your struggle you have inspired me to get my act together!

Hip-hip-hooray for you!!!! Yay!! Keep us all posted.

Natalie glad to hear your blood work is moving in the right direction. We are all rooting for you. But the most important thing is that the surgery doesn't pose a risk for you. Keep us all posted on the latest labs. Your surgery date will be here before you know it!

Congrats Mandy! Glad to hear you are doing so well I such a short time. I was sleeved 1/20/15 and down 85 lbs. Feel free to friend me!

Thaeda your posts are so moving and full of honesty and love. Thank you for sharing this. I think we are much kinder and supportive to others than we are to ourselves. Thank you for reminding us to be gentle to our own selves.

Wow what a difference you look fantastic! Congrats to you on this achievement.

I took two weeks and it suited me fine. I have an active job and on my feet most of the day. The hardest part in the beginning for me was the drinking. Because I don't have a desk job I had to set timers on my cell phone to remind me to drink.

That sounds fantastic! Congrats!

You look stunning! Wondered what you'd been up to hadn't seen you on boards for awhile. I've heard stories of ppl switching addictions from food to booze or gambling or shopping etc. Glad you recognized the problem and are doing better! Thanks for sharing your story.

Thank you everybody! I remember a year ago when I was lurking around here, hadn't secured my surgery date yet. I would read ppl's posts about losing 100 lbs and could definitely understand the happiness, but when I read the Onederland ones I thought "what's so great about reaching 199 lbs it's not close to my goal" but I…

Very eloquently and well put Garber6th! Really nice post.

I'm not so much afraid of attention from the opposite sex, so not sure my response will help, but I do know about hiding behind a wall of fat. Around 30 is when I started packing on the pounds, stopped going to the gym regularly and kept eating poorly. My choices in men weren't great in my younger years and I felt taken…

Wow, such great pictures you look wonderful! You should be very proud of what you've accomplished.

Wow Rob you look absolutely amazing. I agree with others, very handsome even in your before pics. The new pic of you with golf jacket on your face is even thinner than your avatar pic! Have you lost even more weight recently? Such a great progress thank you for sharing everything with us on the board, it helps us when…

I'm almost 8 months out. I have to be careful around pasta, if only have a small amount and chew well I'm good but too quick and it all comes up! I can't have bagels or thick bread because they sit like a rock in my chest. Sometimes spaghetti or red sauce gives me heartburn but other than those exceptions I can eat almost…

You look absolutely wonderful! Wow what a difference. Congrats on your beautiful transformation!

Ooops, just realized I meant to say I've used bipap for ten years not one!
-
I have severe sleep apnea and have used bipap for almost a year. Since losing almost 80lbs I'm not sure if my apnea will resolve but I have my doubts. I think mine might be genetic. My mom and her sister have apnea and are not overweight at all. I don't think I have narcolepsy but do have restless leg syndrome too. Very…

This recipe sounds scrumptious! Am going to try it this weekend. Maybe even make them into muffins for easy breakfast grabs! Thanks again!

What you've been through Paul I couldn't even pretend to try and understand. How awfully brave of you to share your story with us. You are in a safe haven here. Your comment about weight not being the cause but the side effect of your emotions hit home with me. Please reach out to any one of us for support. I look forward…
