  • I lost 13 lbs when I realized none of my pants/skirts fit me anymore. I bought 1 pair of nice jeans, and then I took all of my suits to a tailor. Certainly cheaper than buying new suits. Plus it forces you to give up the comfort of knowing you have those bigger clothes in the closet in case you gain the weight back.
  • It took me 9 months to lose 12 lbs. Height: 5'7" SW:143 CW: 131ish GW: range of 126-130 (room to fluctuate up to 130).
  • I'm 5'7" exactly. Started MFP around 143. Now I fluctuate between 129-132-ish. I want the top of my range to be 130. I think look good at this weight (US size, 4-8, depending on the garment). I'd like to lose more in my lower body, but I'm afraid that my upper body will look too skinny.

  • I started exercising first, and when I felt like nothing was happening, I started logging on MFP- that helped.
  • I was really frustrated when I first started MFP. I was going to the gym and working out with a trainer twice a week and playing tennis twice a week as well. The weight came off really slowly. After a while, even though I'd only lost 2 or 3 lbs, my jeans started getting loose. I was gaining muscle and losing fat (and, more…
  • If it were legal to marry these Nike capri running pants, I would. They're kind of expensive and it's scary to buy tight things, but they are surprisingly flattering. they don't move like looser clothing. And you can jog in them without chafing. Seriously- in love. http://www.runningwarehouse.com/descpageWRA-NWLRCBB.html
  • I aim for 1200 calories a day, although it's rare I don't go over at least a little. I don't log on weekends (dieting on weekends is not sustainable for me, but I try to moderate my portions and be generally healthy and "careful"). I've lost 9 lbs in about 5.5 months, which is a good pace for me since I'm trying to tone…
