My mother in law got diagnosed with this. She has to cut out all starchy items. Ie. Potatoes corn bananas. She has lost about 10lbs this month.

I have a question I wanted to increase my protein macro so I bought vegan protein powder and mix it in with some frozen fruit yogurt and milk as a smoothie in the am. I've been hearing lots of bad things about protein powder being super bad for you?

In December I weighed 278lbs. Needed to lose 108lbs to reach my goal. I am currently 226 with a total loss of around 50 lbs still a long road ahead of me.
