  • Beautiful!
  • I'm using the classes to improve my strength and flexibility. Weight loss will come with diet.
  • Thank you everyone! Unfortunately I do not own a bike and do not enjoy running so I cannot follow those suggestions. I was so tired this morning that I slept and missed both 6am classes. So by default it will be yoga tonight. I go to classes as I found I have made significant progress in building strength and agility vs my…
  • All of the sudden back in August I had this "ah-ha" moment. I realized that if I get up and go to the gym first thing in the morning for a 6 AM class that means I have accomplished my exercise plan for the day and nothing else will get in the way of me getting to the gym and doing what I need to do for myself. My entire…
  • I'm struggling too. This is life transforming change we're making versus a 21-day program. I carefully weigh and track my food. The meals I like and that feel nutritionally appropriate (i.e. Macro ratio, satisfying etc) I put in the recepie and meal section so I'm essentially building my own meal plan as I go along. There…
  • I started with daily weigh ins but lately do twice a week. I track my weight in mfp which gives you a nice graph. I also track my waist and hip measurements in the app as well.
  • I also have type 2 diabetes. I'd cut back on the eggs and cheese and use the mfp tracker to look at how much cholesterol you're taking in. Avocado has become a big staple for me. I also cut back on refined carbs and replaced them with black and garbanzo beans and low sodium Ezekiel bread. I have a long way to go on…
  • I used TDEE to calculate how many calories and macros to eat but track everything in MFP. What does NEAT mean?
  • I really enjoy wines and now have 3 unfinished bottles open and don't want to waste them!
  • Campbell's slogan is true...Soup is good food!!!
  • I stuck to my plan for 80/20 allowing myself a glass of wine, some challah and dessert at each meal. And I only took one dessert and two glasses of wine plus challah over the entire 4 meals. So I consider it a win!
  • I'm in! 5'3" 190 today I do not eat my exercise calories I run 20min 3x/wk Weight class 2x/wk Free weights 1x/wk Yoga 2x/wk If I have time I'll go to Zumba 1-2x/wk to unwind!
  • Yup I'm working to avoid eating my exercise calories. That was a bad habit I had. But so far, most days, it appears I have broken the habit.
  • I'm a desk jockey too! So my intake is 1280 and I run about a 500 deficit -- I think-- that's something I haven't really paid attention too because I've been more focused on staying on track for the intake calorie and carb ratio - and getting a daily workout in! I'm eating about 100g carbs a day. I'm going over 40g in…
  • My gym offers weigh training classes on two consecutive days and as I'm limited to going to gym to 6am. I want to do these classes as I perform better in a class. But then it means training two days in a row. Thoughts?
  • Thank you everyone who replied. Yes I am also working on reducing my caloric intake, tracking my food and increased water intake to about 100oz a day. I've lost about 10lbs since August 1, 2016. I'm a diabetic, have a very sedentary work at home job and am a single parent. So I'm looking for success stories about what has…
  • I'm 5'3" and 194 today. I'm 47. I'm scared of failure and saved your post because you inspire me. Thank you!
  • Great suggestions! I am getting into a routine of taking a supplement. I'm a diabetic so I need to watch the nut milks. As for soy--I'm very sensitive so I have it only twice a week. Thank you for your input!
