I'm not good at pep talks but I'm glad you here and that you found this group.

I'm logged for 15 days in a row. Baby steps right?

Garlic butter chicken and roasted brussel sprouts w parmesan and balsamic vinegar.

My temptations happen on my way home from work. It'd be really easy to pull into a drive thru. I know I can get healthy stuff there but I don't..One strategy I use is to think about what I have at home and most of the times I can think of something more tasty and satisfying at home. I use #5 and 6 but in a dramatic way. I…

Ack. My hard won size 12 pants are tight. I took a slight break for the Christmas holidays and had a heck of a time getting back on track since then. I'm slightly annoyed with myself that it took so long, but I'm also proud of myself to sticking to the only two rules I set for myself.

Tonight I made the pioneer womans black bean burger recipe. Which turned out pretty darn tasty. So far she hasnt let me down.

Haha! I'm in the same boat with the undies. I have quite a number of underpants that are too big but I refuse to throw them out and buy new...because they are still good. On the other hand I dislike wearing them and what size do I buy?

I need to find Laughing cow, I've been doing the same thing except with full on american cheese at 100 cal.

Happy Anniversary @conniewilkins56 !!! I've taken a few weeks off, unplanned. Between work and the world and boys I couldn't stay on track. I didn't go completely off the rails I stuck to my two major rules so that's a win but I have learned I haven't completely conquered the food monster. All in all I'm glad to be back.

Congratulations @bmeadows380 !!

It's when you do something a certain way because you've adapted to your size then you continue to do it that way even though size is no longer the issue. For example, when I was 70 lbs heavier I "borrowed" a seat belt extender for airplanes. Now that I'm lighter I still continued to carry the seat belt extender even though…

I've tried gratitude journals but I'm just not the journaling type, I can't wrap my head around it but....Someone had an idea that worked for me. Every morning/evening write down three things that were good that day/yesterday. That's all, just a list no thoughts, emotions, or feeling, just a list. That's kind of a journal…

Ahhh, me too. My calorie limit was lowered again this week and now it's starting to be a bit of a bind. I'm finding I have to cut out my starchy fix at lunch time which I'm finding hard to give up.

Holy Carp!! @conniewilkins56 you are awesome!

Yesterday while working out my trainer asked if he could record me doing sprint exercises. I said sure but I have full veto power. Here's where the trouble come in .... I've never been a fast runner even as a kid. Lately though I *feel* like I'm quicker and can go farther. Well...Girl! I just watched the video and I still…

I do 43 g old fashioned oats, 145 g milk/almond milk, Tablespoon of chia seeds, tablespoon of flax meal, a dash of tumeric, cinnamon, ginger. Sometimes if I have the calories I'll add peanut butter. I tend to eat my fruit on the side, frozen blueberries are wonderful.

All of this. Don't freak out. I was at 260 with diabetes and high blood pressure. I started MFP, I love all things carby so I just followed CICO and started moving when I could and now I'm off all meds and my A1C is normal. Find what works for you and stick to it most days.
-
@rieraclaelin yes! I've noticed that too. In some spots I went from firm to squishy to gone. lol.
-
I did an inverted push up today! I've had a trainer for a while now and since the beginning I've struggled with push ups, even modified push ups. All that sweat and swearing is finally paying off.
-
@_inHisGrace you reminded me...frozen blueberries are like little treasures sent from heaven. I have a little cup on my way to work most morning, I may give frozen cherries a try.
-
Oh my gosh, Thank You! I lost 70 lbs with ~40 more to go and I have a hard time believing my deflated, cottage cheese looking stomach will ever look like normal. This gives me hope.

My biggest problems are pop and candy. I haven't found a good swap for candy but for Soda I buy seltzer water and add those squirt flavorings to punch up the taste. It's no where as good as a Cherry Coke but the fizz seems to do the trick.

I agree with Novus, don't try to do everything all at once. It' to overwhelming. Just pick the most important thing, eating your calorie deficit, get comfortable at that then start worrying about the other stuff like carbohydrates and macros. Like the song says...Take it easy on yourself.

@gewel321I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. Sending good thoughts your way.

argh!! My streak was reset. My streak on MFP was 367 days. Last week I got busy at work then had to travel after work and I thought I had logged breakfast and I didn't so streak gone! It was kind of a badge of honor, I've been plugging a long for a whole year, that's no fluke man. On the other hand it is a relief that it…

That's awesome!

Awesome!! Congratulations!

I was on vacation over the weekend and I walked into an ice cream shop intent on getting a double scoop - mint chocolate chip and chocolate chip. After looking around I noticed the glass cases were filthy (on the inside...where the ice cream was). So I left and didn't feel one bit bad or deprived. I'm taking that as a…

I've been shopping in the big girl stores for so long I don't know how to act in regular size stores. It used to be I'd find my section, pick something that fit and I even remotely liked and get that. Do I have a style? I don't know!! It's overwhelming to walk into Dillards and try to figure out where to go...there are…
