Thanks for your insight. Which brand have you been using?

Peanut Butter Chocolate Fermented Vegan Proteins+ contains no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. Peanut butter, isomalto-oligosaccharides, fermented pea protein isolate, organic agave syrup, crisp rice (rice flour, rice bran, raisin juice concentrate, salt), sesame powder, chocolate drops (organic cane sugar,…

Yoga is a good start. I like pilates - you might find doing both of these things appealing if 'lifting' is not your thing. Might help strengthen your back too... There are lots of utube/online videos to source out.

There's lots of meal plans (choose the calories you wish to consume for the day/week) to follow on line. They involve making lots of recipes to follow-portions-calories, etc.; however if your not into that, just keep it simple for yourself. Portion size is important and I find a balance of protein, carbs and fats into…

Yes, but...it also has 11 grams of sugar per serving...hydrogenated oil and sugar coated raisins...

Fortunately, my body just can't 'handle' too much alcohol. If I drink even a 'bit' (and I mean 'a bit'.... .3 of an ounce of hard liquor for example) I will most likely be sick the next day! However, I do like to have a little every every afternoon...an issue that has been going on for quite some time...not good I know.

I find if I get a balance of carbs., protein and some fat in, then I'm good to go! Sounds weird, but I have mixed in an egg into some oatmeal or quinoa (as I cook it) and then 'made' it sweeter with a touch of stevia, allspice/cinnamon and a splash of almond milk. Yum

That's really not what anyone would support...

That's great - you must live outside Canada? I wish I had the same! Families with children can currently deduct their 'physical activity sport' expense on their taxes, but there is nothing in place for 'healthy eating' or for individuals. Our government will not allow one to claim supplements, etc.,
-
Absolutely! USDA policies favor the production of commodity crops that are now lucrative on global markets, including corn, soy, cotton, wheat, rice and oats. I believe in the US your policies discourage farmers from growing fruits and vegetables. For example, farmers who grow crops such as corn and soy are not eligible…

I remember I had the 'brilliant' idea to earn a bit of money while going to university. So I worked at A & W for half a shift, went for my break and never returned...maybe that's why I'm a vegetarian now :)
-
I agree with the 'junk/sin tax'! It might help pay for the health care needed eventually for those that have lived unhealthy lives and now 'eat up' - no pun intended - all our health care resources as they become sick as they age. Also, 'crap food' as suggested should be more expensive - if government wants to become…

Ok sixxpoint.... I'm currently into 'aquafaba' - Do you know where I'd resource the calorie content of the 'aqua' in either canned or a homemade variety? Thanks! Popular post...you must be very busy:)
-
If someone heated that up in the staffroom...I think it would clear the room...oh my. Plus, most dog food is not cheaper than human food. This has GOT to be a 'joke' post...is it a late April Fool's Day?
-
Hi roblopatto This is intriguing to me. I still don't understand why you are eating dog food as apart of your diet. Enlighten me! Thanks:)

So hard! However, 'davis_em' has some good points - also, STAY AWAY FROM CRAZY DIETS, PILLS OR QUICK FIXES! They do not work. You need a new lifestyle. Not glamorous but slow and steady wins the race. A new attitude. I am always saying to myself...'just do the next right thing...'. You will get if you want it bad enough.…

Thanks all...yes, those fish supplements can sure add up
-
However, eating majority of food at night sure doesn't make for a restful sleep...as I'm finding...bla Woke up at 3 with quite the tummy ache...
-
Yes, I'm not too concerned about 'to log or not to log', but curious of those that have posted the calorie count of some supplements when the info is not labeled on the container. I'm wondering where they get the info from.

and want to

Yum! I second that one:) I also get the urge to get to a campsite and roast marshmallows and devour many, many smores... the real kind, not Michelle Obama's version! LOL
-
Love your insights...SO SO true!
-
Always cheaper to make your own - that cereal is about $10 for a pouch where I am!
-
Yes...a fine sharp cheese or dark dark chocolate with wine....oh my heaven....my choice is chocolate cheese LOL
-
Hi Take a look at my profile if you'd like to - I am fairly low weight but 'struggle' with food. I love food - I do eat lots but it's mainly vegan-raw-vegetarian-type, so I can eat a substantial amnt. of food, but the calories just aren't there...diary is open now - something that I was always embarrassed to do before.…

Add protein to every meal/snack. Your afternoon noon snack choices are doing 'nothing' for your blood sugar levels and energy. Nuts with or rice puffs or nut butters. Perhaps some yogurt with your orange or cottage cheese if you like it. Cut up veggies with hummus is a good one too...there's lots! Good luck:)

diet black cherry coke - lived off this stuff in University... Not that I'd actually want to consume now, but I guess I'm just having a flashback...lol

Forgive me... Here are two recipes from Choc. Covered Katie: Lemon Cloud Cheesecake (servings: 8) (Can be crustless if desired) • 1/2 cup lemon juice (120g) • 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract • zest of one lemon • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (55g) • 2 packages mori nu firm tofu (Soy-Free alternative here – just add lemon…

What did they 'do' to it?

Once you've had real Maple Syrup from Quebec Canada, one can not go back... It's like this with my 'addiction' to Balsamic Vinegar - once you've had an aged to perfection (20+ years!) variety - it's like sipping a good wine...ummm...or good quality chocolate...oh my I could go on and on... The good thing is that you only…
