  • I struggle with shorts as well. I've had very noticeable spider veins on the back of my calves since high school and was always asked questions about them. I also have A LOT of cellulite and dimpling on my thighs, I'm not overweight and no amount of cardio or strength training has reduced it. I went out to the grocery…
  • If I want coffee I have to drink decaf. Caffeine triggers an abnormal heart rhythm for me (SVT). I love coffee, so I do what I can. I hear this all the time though! There are other heath issues that can be triggered by caffeine as well, just an example.
  • I love Shaun T's workouts! I have not done Cize yet, but I have completed T25 and Insanity Max 30. He kicks your *kitten*! I love to hate him ❤

  • I have suffered with PVC's for almost 20 years now. It's challenging to find the triggers. Over the years, I have learned to manage them without meds. 1. Magnesium helps quite a bit, but is far from a simple cure. 2. Stress is a major factor with mine. I have a significant increase in PVC's when I am stressed. 3.…
  • Another vote for C25k! It's a great program! Another tip: take your inhaler pre-run to prevent any asthma flare ups for now. Go slower than you think you need to, and never run through pain! Get fitted for a good paid of running shoes as well! Pricey but worth it.
  • I love the workouts! Especially Shawn T. I got great results with T25 when I first started, and moved onto Max 30. You do need to watch your diet to see results, of course. I don't get any of the "extras", I think they are overrated, but the workouts are amazing.
  • I do virtual races through Random Tuesday Inc. They have a few different running clubs you can join, and have communities on FB for support and additional competitions for fun. It's great for accountability. All the races benefit a charity, and most of the race cost is tax deductible! There's a Fandom Running Club for all…
  • Sicilian Chicken Soup!
  • Sicilian Chicken Soup!
  • I agree about feeling better on medication! I resisted for so long, and I with I hadn't. I did everything under the sun to bring my BP down without meds. I did supplements, followed the DASH diet, got active (running), and dropped my weight from 160 down to 143. I STILL had HBP. Thanks to both of my parents, mine is…
  • I'm more concerned about the week without a 💩 than about the weight loss. Take some Miralax until the constipation resolves, and maintain good bowel habits with a fiber supplement. There are powders and gummies, whichever you prefer. An occasional stool softener will help if it happens again, but don't wait a week before…
  • I also ordered mine from Amazon. I did check 1st to be sure, and the only vendor listed on Amazon is Concept2. I verified with Concept2 when I registered my rower as well, and Amazon is on their list of distributors. I've used Amazon for years with no issue, so I felt more comfortable ordering from them than a website I…
  • Thank you! It's very frustrating. I wasn't overtraining at all, I did the C25k program and was only running 3 miles, 3 days a week when I got the fracture. After numerous blood tests and a bone scan, I have no answer as to why it happened. I plan on trying again in a few months. For now, I'm rowing and hoping not to loose…
  • I started running earlier this year. 1. Run outdoors with music! It's so much better than a treadmill, and it's a better workout. 2. Get fitted for running shoes at a running shop. Well worth the investment! 3. Listen to your body and don't run through pain! I learned this the hard way... 😣 I'm recovering from a stress…
  • Yep, I partially tore mine about a year ago. I never did the special shoe or boot, just sucked it up and tried to get over it (I'm an awful patient). Finally I am starting to walk normally, but i still have a good amount of pain. I fractured my big toe a few months before, and it was nothing like this pain. My poor toes…
  • This sounds amazing! What do you serve it with?
  • My fave: 1/3 cup oats 1/3 cup milk 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt 1 TBS Cocoa powder 1 TBS Sunbutter or Peanut butter 1 tsp Honey Also satisfies my sweet tooth.
  • I like it mixed with salsa and black beans. Very filling!
  • Next step should be to see a gastroenterologist and rule out digestive issues. Hope you feel better soon!
  • The only way I can eat it is if I mix it with black beans and salsa. It's so good!
  • 1/3 cup oats 1/3 cup milk 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt 1 TBSP cocoa powder 1 TBSP peanut butter (I use Sunbutter) 1 tsp honey Sometimes I add 1/2 sliced banana.
  • Per my primary care orders- Vitamin D, blood test shows deficiency Per my cardiologists order- Magnesium to regulate my heart rhythm. Unless you are deficient in a vitamin or mineral, taking supplements just produces expensive pee.
  • I'd post some pics, but I'm not sure how from the app. I had great results though! I lost 20 pounds from the beginning of alpha to the end of gamma. I only did the modified moves throughout.
  • MyFitnessPal is good for learning portions and calorie counts. Walking is an ideal beginner exercise. Work up to that 10,000 steps per day. If you're looking for something more regimented, I've heard the 21 Day Fix by Beachbody is really good. It includes workout Dvd's and portion control containers along with their meal…
  • 3 more pounds to go. Almost there!
  • A cream cheese filled donut, an apple filled donut, and a Venti carmel macchiato. My weekly cheat meal. Any other day, it would be overnight oats and a banana.
  • My mom's homemade chocolate fudge. She gave me a 9"x13" pan last Thanksgiving, and I ate the whole thing in 3 days. :s
  • Just finished the 1st week of gamma. A few days behind because of a minor illness for a couple of days. Back to it tomorrow though! Speed 3.0 is the devil. I hate it. I despise it. But I do it, because omg, I feel it at the end in a good way. It feels like an accomplishment when I get through that one. I love the other…
  • Exercise everyday, even if it's just a walk. Get enough sleep. Feed your body nutritious foods. Get a blood panel done and see if you are deficient in any vitamins or minerals, also have your thyroid checked. Any of those things can make you feel down. I have used acupuncture in the past, and had amazing results with it.…
