I took my kids out to dinner tonight and ordered a lean steak with veggies and a lemonade(which I did not finish drinking) . I'm a big fan of burgers and sandwiches with fries and soda(I gave up soda right after xmas), so I consider this a better choice, especially because it was from the "healthy" section of the menu that…

This is incredible!! Congratulations on your success!! I'm sure it's not always easy, but I bet you feel much better. You should be very proud.

I would love to join you all as well. 20lbs by June would make an excellent first goal for me. I have about 70lbs to lose in total. 5'7" 219lbs.

Congrats and thank you!! I've needed a little reminder not to sweat the small things and accept that this is a process and not always a happy, easy, sunshine and roses process, but one that takes discipline, patience and hard work.

Turning down pizza for a salad!! Small victory for me. Because pizza is so delicious!!

This is really incredible and you should definitely be proud of yourself. Congrats. You are an inspiration! PS I love your very honest tips at the end. Seeing that makes this process a little less stressful.

There is actually a fitness section on the Xbox that has several workout videos for free. Including some from Jillian Michaels. It's been a while since I have done any, but they are great with the Kinect because it will help you properly go through each exercise. As far as actual games, maybe the Kinect Sports. Again it's…

I really like homemade banana ice cream. It's really simple and you can find the recipe on Pinterest. I also like the special k Chocolatey delight cereal, especially if I am looking for that "crunch" factor. Always looking for more ideas myself though. Sweet tooth always hits me around 8pm almost every night.

Feel free to add me. I am always game to help and could use a little motivation as well.

I gave up soda a week ago. After drinking at least 2 16oz bottles a day on top of drinking 1 Rockstar a day. I still have to cut out the energy drink, but I am proud that I eliminated the soda so far and upped my water intake from nothing to 64oz a day.

Me too. I need to lose a total of about 70lbs. I sent a friends request.

I can totally relate. Mentally I know that I am overweight and have about 75 pounds to lose myself, however, I never consider myself to be huge until I see myself in pictures or look at myself in a full length mirror. It's not fun. Here's to future success though. We can all do it!!

I have always been against calorie counting, but now that I log my food on mfp I am more aware and that helps. I try to pay more attention to the fat, carb and protein ratios as well. Healthy fats and proteins and less carbs works best for me. I also suggest starting small and just give up one thing at a time. Sometimes we…

Paleo is a big commitment but it pays off and you will feel incredible. The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolff is a great book to get if you are really interested in how and why Paleo works. He explains the science behind it and there is also a thirty day challenge included with recipes to get you started.

60lbs down! That is so awesome!!

It sounds like you might need to shake up your routine. Add more weight to your workout, take a new class or adjust your calorie intake. It may just be your body telling you that you need to adjust for a plateau. Good luck.

I had the Jawbone first but eventually switched to a Fitbit. With Jawbine I had to plug it in to my phone every time I wanted to see where I was at and it eventually just died on me. I've had my Fitbit now for almost two years and I live it!!

It just means you need to change something up. Add in some weights, take a new class, or adjust your food intake a bit. It could just be a simple change to get the scale moving again.

Shorts. Shorts motivate me, because unless I am sleeping in them, I am not wearing them. I live in the desert. Summers are hot. I need shorts!

1. Don't drink calories. I gave up my two a day energy drinks and that helps so much. Now I drink my Crystal Light and save on so many calories and carbs. 2. 10,000 steps a day. I always try to reach that goal. Some days it's easier then others, but still possible. 3. Log every thing that I eat. Sometimes it easier said…

I had mine out about 7 years ago. There are still foods that I am intolerant to that cause me to have to run off to the restroom after eating, but overall it has been a much better experience having it out. I was in so much pain before it was removed. I find that when I still to a higher protein, less carb and dairy diet I…

Food prep is great. I would suggest prepping snacks too. Like bagged grapes or cherry tomatoes. Anything that makes it easier to grab healthy and convenient instead of just convenient. That is always my biggest struggle.
